Charming hotel with spectacular view

The breathtaking view, large outdoor terrace and pool areas. The hotel has parking and a very relaxed vibe.

Pleasant and very French!

The house is in a very nice location adjacent and in walking distance of the old city with a marvelious view over the hills and a splendid terasse for breakfast and leisure. There is also a pool available when the temperature is right for swimming. The rooms are cosy, the breakfast is good! Recommended stay.

Not happy with this place

Just the location

Hotel needs updates , everything is quite old , toilet leaking during the whole stay , reported a couple of times however it was not fixed. Our room smell urine because of this . Room was not clean , they only change towels a couple of times however our sheets were not changed in a week .

Great location, fab surroundings, shabby chique with character, brush up on your school French.

Breakfast €14 each per person extra, continental basic, self serve. Choice to dine inside or out on amazing terrace overlooking breathtaking views. Food bought in, ok, nothing special, HOWEVER, what makes up for it is The View as you eat, spectacular outdoors.

A typical 1920s, art deco, shabby chique hotel with character, quintessentially French, nice. Setting, proximity to town centre, all really good. Essential to speak basic French here as none of staff speak or understand French.

I think I won't book again the hotel in Summer

The hotel bulding is beautiful and we've a good vue. The swimming pool is good.

We don't have the aircondition in room, it was very hot more than 35. we can't get to sleep in night, it was terrible. We booked a room for three as the description in Booking, but the property would like to invoice 10 euros per night for my son's bed, after a conversation finally she remove this additional unreasonable fees. However it caused the confusion and unpleasant feeling.

Great pool. Beautiful views and close to the old city. Parking was great.

Check in was quite late, would be nice to have an early check in option. No mosquito netting on the windows, coupled with a very noise air con made not a bad night sleep.

Pleasant although challenging access for an older couple

The views from the patio and our room on the top floor are fantastic breakfast is very nice. With a good choice of meats, cheese fresh fruit and pastries. There is off street free parking and it’s a short walk to the center of town and the old town of Vence. Quiet and serene

It’s difficult to get to the hotel from the parking lot if you have trouble walking. There’s a steep cobblestone path with many uneven steps. Also there is no elevator for the higher floors. It’s 22 steps per flight. The top floor where we stayed in room 24 is 88 steps. The manager is only there in the morning and leaves after breakfast. Check in is remote and there is a password for the front door lock which we had to get from a guest as we arrived in the afternoon when no manager was there. . There is also an unseen step just inside the front door which can cause a nasty fall if you’re not prepared for it. Rooms are comfortable but furniture shows its age.

It’s a three star hotel. Don’t expect too much.

The location and the views were amazing. It’s situated between all the major attractions in the area.

Didn’t really see any staff - except at the bar. A note and key were left for check in even though we didn’t arrive particularly late. There was never anyone at reception. Had to find someone to check out. Our bathroom was falling apart - toilet lose so uncomfortable to use, shower fell off the wall a couple of times. The thinnest pillows ever. No cover on the duvet. Walls are paper thin. We still had an OK stay.

Beautiful hotel with magical view

One of the most beautiful views I have ever seen and the owners really have an eye for detail! The hotel, the pool and the terrasse looks amazing! The breakfast was great also. The town easily reached by foot.

This was a wonderful place to escape but close to the sites of the French Riviera.

Excellent family run hotel! They made us feel welcome. It is a short stroll into a hidden gem of a village. Breakfast on the terrace with a view of the Mediterranean was a treat, and then later drinks from the bar on the terrace after a dip on the pool. The building is from a by-gone era of luxury, and the hotel is an oasis from the bustling life along French Riviera.

Room clean, nice room decor although structure is quite old, excellent WiFi (20MBS both upload and download). Easy parking. Nice garden. Easy to reach from the city. Friendly reception.

Very poor soundproofing, the guy next to us came back around 11PM and kept us awake for more than an hour. Old carpet in the room. It was clean, but air was stuffy and if you suffer from allergies you may want to keep that in mind. Friendly reception but no English spoken.

If you are with a car and OK with basic, then this place is a good option and we'd stay there again

View was wondeful, location was great as it included parking and overall a charming hotel, taking into account it's a basic 3 star hotel

Overall was fine for a 3 star, if a bit tired in places, specifically the carpet in the room needs to be replaced, preferrably with tiles and breakfast was a typical basic continental and therefor expensive at 12 euros - we didn't take it.

it was traditional, is a wonderful setting and really lovely staff, friendly, helpful and wonderful hosts. We were guest in end of April early May no airport shuttle but the Taxi organised to and from the hotel was wonderful too. Highly recommend this hotel and Vence. 😊😊😊😊

Nothing, this a traditional lovely characterful, perfectly placed hotel. however if you are wanting slick, ultra modern and soulless you will be disappointed.

Great experience in a city of Vence

Great view on mountains, very nice breakfast, great garden outside and very close to the city center.

Wine opener and glasses are missing from the room, and there is no kitchenette. While not all of the staff speaks English, they are very helpful and do their best to satisfy you.

a little disappointing

we enjoyed the age of the hotel . the gist Daniel kindly carried our suitcases up to our room snd offered us the opportunity to change our room to one on a lower floor .

we did not like or know before we arrived that you cannot eat in your room. on leaving we were charged for 5 nights when we had stayed for only 4 , however this was sorted . the shower area of our room had black ( mould ?) and I did not fancy having a shower whilst I was there .

Pleasant, charming and tranquil

The tranquility and atractiveness of the installations in its very particular style : one of the reviewers described it as “ shabby chic “ and that was precisely what attracted me : a bit of old fashioned peace and serenity with a quirk making it very light hearted and at the same time elegant and discreet !…

everything pleased me : a bit of renovation here and there wouldn’t go amiss, but that was part of its charm too ? Stylish and comfortable, would be even better with Spring and Summer sunshine, the facilities are well equipped for that in the same pleasant old world style .
