Villa Caraïbes

Villa Caraïbes is an oasis in the picturesque hilltops of the South of France! I was so lucky to stay at this property given the short supply of lodgings in the height of the summer months. Immediately, Ange-Marie and Alain gave me peace of mind / heart / soul that of all the places I could have chosen, this was it. What a rare gem. What a find. What a gift. First of all, as responsive and accommodating owners, Ange-Marie and Alain reassured me that I would have wifi in my cottage because I wrote it in as a “Special Request” that I needed a steady internet connection. When I arrived to Villa Caraïbes in the late evening of a weekday, both of them warmly welcomed the tired, weary traveler (moi) as if I was a long lost friend. As an example of owners who go above and beyond their call of duty, they immediately proceeded to show me (before even unpacking my bags) where the strongest internet connection was by “testing” the various spots on the property with my computer open and wifi connection signal showing the strength. We walked around the various parts of the lovely backyard, private pool, charming cottage, open house, etc. They encouraged me go wherever I needed and they offered to help in any way. I worked by the pool a couple of times because I could :)) I got in a lovely routine of starting and ending my days by jumping into the perfectly temperate, quiet, clean pool - which was both energizing and relaxing at different stages of your day when you need it to be. And croissants every morning? Oui. Incredible.  Staying at Villa Caraïbes has the warmth of a charming B&B but the high-quality elements of 5-star hotel because of the attentiveness of Ange-Marie and Alain. I will come back again and again for many years to come :) Merci beaucoup

This is the type of area that having a car would be advisable. I took Ubers and even once took the local bus to Vence and it worked out just fine!

Le grand coup de cœur ce sont nos hôtes. Un couple absolument adorable, aux petits soins. Accueil +++ La piscine est commune avec le deuxième chalet de la propriété et les propriétaires mais elle est très agréable avec ses transats et une magnifique vue. Le chalet est fonctionnel avec son coin cuisine et un très grand frigo. Il y a un coin jardin privé pour prendre ses repas en extérieur. Une machine à laver le linge est aussi très pratique. On peut aussi garer sa voiture dans la propriété ou devant.

Le chalet est idéal pour un couple mais il est peu peu petit pour 4 personnes mais pour un court séjour cela va parfaitement

Absolutely lovely experience. Gorgeous pool area, lovely greeting and super clean and comfortable accom. Highly recommend.

After a month of interrailing across France& Italy with our two young children, staying in everything from holiday rentals to 5* hotels, this was our favourite place to stay. The accommodation is clean & well equipped, with everything needed for a family holiday: a well-stocked kitchen, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, air conditioning, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and a secure gated lockable outside space (in case you need to keep children from the pool). There is a boulangerie a short walk away and a free bus service that reaches both Vence and Saint-Paul-de-Vence in around 10 minutes. HOWEVER what makes this place truly exceptional is the warmth and generosity of the hosts. We booked with hours notice as our original accommodation the other side of Nice had to be cancelled because of the wildfires. The hosts kindly let our children enjoy the pool while the cabin was being prepared as we arrived before the check in time, they offered helpful local advice, their son talked us through the bus timetable and even offered to walk us to the bus stop the first time so we didn’t get lost! They consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The greatest example of their kindness came on our final day when an unexpected change to our travel plans left us without accommodation. Although new guests were arriving at the cabin, they made sure our family still had somewhere to stay. Their compassion and generosity turned what could have been a stressful situation into one we will always remember with gratitude. The accommodation is excellent, but it is the people who make this place unforgettable! We feel incredibly fortunate to have found it and will recommend it without hesitation. Thank you for making our unexpected detour such a special part of our holiday, our children are so sad to be leaving so we promise to return one day!
