Could be a kettle and couple of bags with the tea but it's not a problem

We arrived a short time after check-in and were able to park our rental out front. I was traveling with my adult son, so the twin beds was a welcome sight. Through the hotel's inquiries, we had to send in some personal information, passport numbers, and something else, but with that said, we had free bus tickets ready for us upon arrival ... 3 day's worth. That afternoon, we left the hotel, turned left, then immediately right and walked about a block, turned left and there was the bus stop! I think it was #4. It was a quick direct ride into town and it did have a few Old Town stops ... then you only had to walk about another 1/2 block and you were immediately on Getriedegasse strasse. Across the side street from the bus stop was a gas station with a small grocery... sandwiches, chips, etc. Then up the main street about another block and half was a Lidl grocery store that was larger and had lots of grocery items and other misc household items. We also found it easy to take another bus #25??? to Hellbrunn Palace and enjoyed the water theatre works and the tour. From where the bus let us off, we had to walk down a short paved road to the palace entrance and then walk back up (not very steep) to catch the bus back into town and then later #4 back to the hotel. This hotel is in a quiet area and we recommend it highly. The hotel breakfast was great with lots of selections. Nice staff and very enjoyable. P.S. While in town, be sure to see the small Dwarf Garden as part of the Mirabelle Gardens.

Some staff members are friendly, breakfasts are OK. Location is good considering transport accessibility.
Unfortunately we got a room above the restaurant kitchen. We could feel the cheap oil smell from the kitchen in the room at all times, especially 11:30-14:00 and 18:00-22:00 making it impossible to enter the bathroom or breathe normally, all our clothes still have the smell even days after we left. Rooms are outdated with low ceilings. Dirty carpets. Visible mold stains in bathroom. All of this for 160€ a night.

This is a lovely hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff, the location is out of town, which we knew when we booked it, but has easy access to into town via the bus net work, number 4 bus!, of which the hotel staff down loaded for us the free travel app.
The room was clean and tidy, bathroom was excellent, and the food in the Restaurant is Fabulous!!
It's just a shame it closes on Sundays and Mondays, so keep in Mind.
We will return to this hotel most definitely , it also has good car parking, with no charge for parking either, it has excellent motorway access, which being so close to the motorway has easy access to other locations around Salzburg.

This hotel is located on the outskirts of the city, with its own parking lot. When we arrived, they offered free E-bus passes called Guest Mobility Ticket (seems to be a municipal promotion to encourage public transportation), so we parked our car at the hotel and used them to explore the city.
The hotel room was a decent size, but with our child, it felt a bit cramped after adding an extra bed. However, the breakfast was excellent, especially the Austrian Semmel bread, which the hotel makes deliciously. My whole family loved it.
The hotel also has its own restaurant (called Kohlpeter Restaurant) downstairs, accessible from the ground-floor lobby. It's a great place. We dined there on both days, except for our first day in downtown Salzburg. The beer is also excellent; I saw quite a few locals driving in just to enjoy beer and chatting.

We arrived late and were accommodated for our late arrival. The room was very nice!
We had a hard time getting the air conditioner to work the first night, turns out you couldn't have the window open at all for it to come on.

The room was large, clean and comfortable, with a good bathroom. A kettle and mugs were provided on request and there was a fridge.
Lovely breakfast and restaurant providing evening meal.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful and provided excellent service.
The location was out of town, but there are bus stops in walking distance.

Staff were.helpful and we managed to check in over 2 hours before scheduled 3.00 check-in, which was excellent and really good so we could refresh after our journey before exploring the city. Breakfast was plentiful and the evening meal of wiener schnitzel and local beer was superb. Highly recommend the restaurant although book in advance as it was busy - the waitress was really attentive. A pity it was shut on the Sunday night (and Monday) as we would definitely would have eaten there on our second night too. Bus service to town is efficient too. (about 15 mins) and you can get a 24 hour.bus ticket from machines by most bus stops for less than €5. We did walk into the centre on our first night to get our bearings - it took around 30-40 mins (pleasant walk by the river for half the journey). We went to watch RB Salzburg and the walk was around 25 minutes to the stadium - so the hotel is a good location for that too. It was çheaper than hotels more central but with regular bus service to the city this was good. Overall highly recommended and would stay again if visiting Salzburg.
It was a little noisy in the room overnight if you had the window open.

I've stayed in this hotel before as couple with a double room. That room was fantastic, and the 30-minute walk to the Messezentrum is easy, so I came again. The single room is much smaller but provides the same comfort with spacious bathroom, mini fridge and air-conditioning. It even came with an extra thing: An electric adjustable bed! There is plenty of storage space and the bathroom has enough surface area for personal care items. There is enough light and desk space if you need to work in the room. Not listed online but mentioned in the guest book: You can ask for a kettle at the reception.
Room 1 faces the quiet back garden, but is placed immediately next to the stairway, and above the breakfast kitchen. So it doesn't have street noise...but you get other noises like slamming doors and kitchen hammering (? Schnitzel?) in the morning. Bring ear plugs if you get woken up easily. Aside from that it was quiet during the night. The hotel was probably not full at the time of my stay.
The location does not have a direct public transport connection, but buses aren't too far away. It's good for walks and has a lidl and BILLA fairly nearby, a petrol station with mini shop, a pharmacy and bakery/café around the corner. Ignaz-Harrer-Straße isn't a pretty street but has a selection of restaurants. If you're looking to visit the city centre then another location might be better.
The hotel's restaurant offers excellent traditional food and wines. Inside is cosy, while the garden is spacious. They are closed on Sunday and Monday, though.
The kitchen noise on Sunday morning 8:30 am wasn't great (on other days I left before 8 am). Solved with ear plugs!

What a wonderful hotel! The staff was friendly. There was a lift in addition to easy to navigate stairs. We had 2 rooms in a suite with a main door. One had a lovely balcony! The rooms were much bigger than the pictures appeared online! Each room had a decent bathroom with a window and a shower and ample counter space. There was a mini fridge in each room also. The hotel's free parking just outside made arriving and leaving easy. Also, there is a bus stop very close, 5 minute walk from the hotel with simple access to the city. Also, there is a Lidl grocery store next to the bus stop as well as a convenience store across the street from the bus stop. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant.
Nothing!

A very clean and comfortable triple room. All 3 proper beds, no pullouts/cots. The restaurant served an excellent meal and the staff spoke english well. The hotel was exceptionally clean. They have a large parking lot and access was quite easy from the main roads. We choose to stay here at a great price and then explored the old city of Salzburg (just a 8 min drive away).
No complaints.

The Kohlpeter Hotel is comfortable, reasonably priced and has free parking. It is in a residential neighborhood yet only a five minute walk to a main street that has a bus into Salzburg (15 minutes) and grocery stores. The restaurant of the hotel is excellent!
Breakfast is expensive (19 Euros) but is a large buffet and is compensated by the price of the room.
