Centrally located and modern, ensure updated sheets.

Centrally located to the city. Easy to walk around to different places. Facility looks modern and updated. Dog friendly and there is breakfast at the hotel if desired.

Following check in we determined that our futon had dirty sheets and pillows. There was even used tissue within them. Immediately we went to reception about a change of sheets and we were met with animosity over having indicated only one adult and one child as opposed to two adults and one child. While I admit we somehow missed this. It does not justify why we only had two changes of sheets and not extra. This is absolutely unacceptable a room should be thoroughly cleaned upon the departure of all guests. Especially with note to used bedding.

Pleasant hotel in the heart of Villach

I booked this hotel for just an overnight stay on my way to from Poland to Italy for holiday (with my family travelling by air). It is a very pleasant hotel in a historic building located very pleasantly and conveniently by the main (pedestrian) street in Villach. The rooms are very clean and well-maintained, the breakfast is good, currently in the form of a buffet, though I must admit I preferred the previous version (I stayed here a few years ago as well, also on my way to Italy with family), where there were several breakfast options and breakfast (very plentiful and tasty!) was served to the table.

The room was not ready when I arrived (within check-in time), which was unfortunate as I was after a very long drive and needed some rest. I went for a walk in the town waiting for my room. The reception clerk offered to call me once the room was ready, but never did. I arrived after two hours (having had dinner in the meantime) and the room was fortunately ready by then. There is no air-conditioning in the rooms.

Modern and decent - but only take a room with courtyard view

Nice and modern room. The breakfast was good, but not great. Staff was very friendly. The location is right at the main square.

The rooms and the hotel are modern but they feel loveless and lifeless. No plants. Lighting in the room was rather dark, the shower at the end of a corridor felt rather cold and the windows have insufficient curtains, so it got bright rather soon in the room. There was a construction site right in front of the hotel - which would have been good to know beforehand, to change to a room facing the courtyard.

Very pleasant stay

The hotel is situated on the pedestrian street in a building with a very interesting history. The staff was very kind and always ready to help. The breakfast is served in an original way and is very tasty.

On two very rare occasions, we had to wait a while for a warm water to start when having a shower. On ocassions, the internet connection was lost. However, I must admit that we didn't report these problems. Otherwise, they would highly likely would have been resolved.

Big room, great location. Surprisingly very quiet even though it’s an old historic building. Helpful staff. As a very important thing - it’s very stylish. Attention even to small details.

Since the breakfast is not a buffet and it served as a set, I would like more veggies in it. Anyway breakfast was tasty!

I was there for 5 days (4 nights) and did not get the toiletries refreshed. I asked for more conditioner and another bottle of water, and was told it would be delivered, but it wasn’t.

pillows were old and lumpy. breakfast was so so. no tea and coffee making facilities. sauna was shutdown by the hotel but still advertised on their website. bathrooms were horrible and all located in the room.

The location was great. The staff was kind and tried to help.

The bathroom was not clean. In the shower the door didnt close properly so there water on the ground of the whole bathroom after every shower. The breakfast was designed a bit chaotic. The term vegan is unfortunately not very known. So yes there was some explaining to do. The biggest “minus” was the false advertisement of a spa/wellness area. That was the key point why we chose the hotel since it was in the description and also on the photos but when asked we were simply informed that it is closed, with no explanation why.

Great location, nice hotel!

Great location right on the main pedestrian street. We got one deluxe room and one simple one - the deluxe one in particular was very stylish and big, with a nice seating area, plus AC. The simple one was very comfortable and good value for the money, but much plainer with no AC. The restaurant at the hotel was very good!

Generally not enough for a 4-star (beware of the toilet in the room with the doors semi-open)

The hotel is in a beautiful, well-renovated historic building in the very center of the city. Elegant and modern furniture.

We walked into the room and there was a bad smell of smoke. (We asked for a change, and we were satisfied) In the room, the toilet and shower ARE NOT SEPARATE from the rest of the room. There is only a booth with semi-open doors. Smells and body noises were shared with all the guests in the room. On the bed there was only one winter duvet (very heavy) despite it being August 20th (yes, I know that in Austria it is common; but for an Italian guest it is really absurd not to have an alternative). The breakfast was divided into two shifts (at 8:30 and 10:00); you had to communicate it the day before (very inconvenient and not in line with a 4 star). The buffet was also not particularly rich and the service was not up to par in a 4-star hotel. Although the availability of parking was indicated on Booking, they sent us to park in a very expensive public parking lot.
