Baden is so nice, you call it twice.

The location is absolutely perfect, everything I need for a dreamy weekend in Baden-Baden is within walking distance. The room is spacious and well organized, the bed is very comfortable, but I guess everything feels more comfortable after a long hot bath. The restaurant downstairs is also surprisingly nice, given it’s located in the middle of the town, I expected it to be more touristy, but it turns out to be very authentic and very tasty.

It’s not that I don’t like it, or perhaps I misread the instructions, it can be confusing for first timers to locate the reception desk for check-in. There are two entrances, one through the sidewalk, one through the stairs into the restaurant, and the reception desk is by the bar. It took a minute to figure that out.

Perfect Location for Exploring

The location was fantastic. We could walk easily to most sights, numerous restaurants, cafes and shops. It couldn't be better. Breakfast was at a cafe across the street and was filling. The room was comfortable and quiet, despite being right above the biergarten.

Cozy and relaxing not pretentious, great for a family with small kid.

I loved the privacy of the room on the top floor and the view was great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Loved the restaurant at ground floor.

It was a lot of stairs, but they promptly helped us with the suitcases and stroller. The mattress was comfy but the bed frame noisy.

Great, easy and safe stay.

Great location, super tidy and cute room, and the staff were super helpful when I was late to check-in. I felt very safe as a solo traveller.

The room lacked air-conditioning and the supplied fan was not enough during a European heatwave.

Path to our room was a labyrinth, no number in the door and next to a kitchen and laundry room (somebody went to activate the washing machine at 3 am) Curtains could have been blackout

Great location, close to spas. A nice gesture of a free coffee, cake and sweets in their café.

Unfortunately, some clients on our floor were very noisy. They arrived in the middle of the night, were very-very loud, and woke woke us up.

Exceptional

THe rooms are clean, tidy and very nicely decorated. The hotel is located in the very center, and the spa is only a 3-minute walk away. The breakfast is delicious and varied. I recommend it.

the hotel belongs to a group, together with Laterne & Cafe am Rathaus right across from the hotel. while staff and service at Goldener Löwen was very good, the service and food at Laterne & Café am Rathaus was not so good with prices at the Laterne restaurant rather high for Baden-Baden. 😐

Overall the stay was ok, but the hotel should change the description and misleading pictures

The location is the only positive point for this hotel. Though, the very central location and poor description of the address, made us struggle a lot to find a way to get there with our car.

After going around in circles because the address mentioned on booking.com is not appropriate for going there with a car, we struggled a lot to find where to park. The reception of the hotel is in the middle of the restaurant, which was very difficult to find and we had to unload all our luggage in the middle of the restaurant, as it was not possible to park next to the hotel. Very annoying. The pictures of this hotel are not reflecting the reality. We booked a 20sqm room and in the first night we got a very small room with a bathroom which is not by far as the one in the photos - shower door was not working, hair dryer was not working and there was no iron in the room as it should have been. When going for breakfast in the morning, another disappointment! We received a very basic breakfast, not at all like in the pictures, in a cafe which made us doubt the cleaning standards (especially during COVID times). We went there only once and then we had to find other breakfast opportunities in town. After we complained, the answer was: the pictures are just "example" - well, the pictures should reflect the reality because this is the only way we can know what we are booking! We did receive another room which was ok, but the bedsheets were yellow, not even hostel standard! The pictures of this hotel and description should be updated immediately as it is deceiving the guests.

Zum früstücken immer 50 Stufen runter und wieder rauf und auch noch ausser Haus waren zuviel . Ausserdem war ich im 2 Stock untergebracht, sollte man beachten und mitteilen, dass kein Fahrstuhl vorhanden ist, wenn man bei der Buchung sieht, dass die Person 82 ist

La chambre n’était pas prête et la nouvelle chambre qui nous a été attribuée les draps n’avaient pas été changés. Le personnel n’est pas souriant ni au restaurant, ni à l’accueil’ ni au petit déjeuner. Le petit déjeuner était standard sans plus., dans des locaux de l’autre côté de la rue.

Super séjour, Baden est magique et magnifique en cette période.

La propreté, le mobilier très beau, lit très confortable, oreiller parfait. Nous avons eu une chambre avec un balcon depuis lequel nous avons pu admirer les façades décorées pour Noël.

J’ai trouvé que la réception de l’hôtel au sein de restaurant dans le passage de sortie de la cuisine n’était pas optimal.

Kurzurlaub in Herzen von weltberühmten Baden-Baden

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Zimmer mit groß und bequemes Bett. Große und sehr schöne Badezimmer. Alles sehr sauber. Mitten in Zentrum in der Fußgängerzone, alles in wenige Gehminuten erreichbar. Paar Schritte zu weltberühmte Thermalbäder. Hochwertige Frühstücksbuffet.

Der Kleiderschrank war etwas zu klein, obwohl wehre genug platz nach oben. War etwas unbequem Mantel anziehen und rauszugehen in der früh den Frühstückraum zu suchen gegenüber in andere Gebäude.

Het ontbijt was karig, veel dingen waren op of niet aangevuld. Het restaurant was peperduur en niet echt bijzonder, zag er wel gezellig uit.
