Peaceful night in the heart of town.

Extremely clean and quiet. Large bathroom and very nice bed. Great location. I worked here in 1991 and wanted to return and see the hotel again.

Shabby and Worn. Incredibly Disappointing!

Decent location.

There was little to like. The hotel was probably grand at some point in time, but it is shabby and run-down. The couch was torn. There is cheap furniture in the room. The “queen” bed is just two uncomfortable twin beds pushed together. The bathroom felt like a hospital bathroom with a 1980s jacuzzi. It was impossible to take a stand-up shower given the odd dimensions of the jacuzzi. The shower would have been impossible for elderly travelers. I told the front desk about a foul odor in my room, and he said he could look into moving my room the next day. I said I was leaving the next day, and he just shrugged his shoulders.

The Hotel is OK.

The location. The staffs were very friendly/helpful. The breakfast are ok.

No kettle in the room, you have to go down to the reception if you need hot water. The bed was not comfortable.

Lovely hotel in the city

Perfect location, brilliant view from the balcony ,old fashioned decoration, friendly staff, rich and good-tasted breakfast.

The curtains may need to be updated, the light could not be fully covered therefore may cause uncomfortable to those feeling sensitive to the lights.

Great location

Location is great and very near bus stops for the main train station. Very pretty area, sitting on balcony was nice, and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice, limited selections of pastries but rest is OK.

It's very aged so looks raggy. So to do hair in mirror in bedroom there is no plug, for example as back in 1952 when it last saw a lock of paint, wasn't a need for plugs.

Exceptionally unique hotel with a lot of charm and facilities. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Baden-Baden. Location, comfort, service, cleanliness. All perfect.

Breakfast was fantastic!

The air conditioner was pretty much non existent. The air blowing through the vents were no more cooler than your average fan. We had a dog with us so we wanted air conditioning.

Beautiful old-style hotel with a great spa area

Beautiful room decorated with antique style furniture, good amount of space. Great buffet-type breakfast. Staff was very friendly and the location is excellent: it's practically in the old centre, in a quiet corner and buss stop is near to reach the railway station. The hotel spa was even better than we excepted!

The thermal water tap in the room didn't work, but that wasn't a big problem for us.

Perfect Location downtown in the pedestrian area, bus stop to the railway station round the corner. Very friendly staff, nice single room with balcony, new perfect matraze, very good breakfast, nice terrasse. Very good price relation. I definately will come again.

Superb

My room was great for a relaxing weekend away. The clerk at the front desk was helpful with restaurant recommendations when I arrived late and didn't have reservations. Breakfast was delicious. The view from my balcony was gorgeous and it was a great spot for reading and people watching while enjoying a glass of wine from the bar downstairs.

The shower door in my room didn't close all the way and the bathroom would flood if I wasn't careful when showering.

The staff were wonderful, all extremely friendly and helpful The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, quiet. Very comfortable bed Great location. Very good breakfast especially enjoyable on the lovely terrace with wisteria views

The TV was so old with such bad reception that it was unwatchable. The direct to the bath in the room mineral spa water taps were not working. The over bath shower was hard to control for both temperature and direction and had bad water pressure

Breakfast was excellent.

I travel a lot but this is my first review as it was horrible service. First when we arrived the receptionist said he is not gonna give us a key untill he received the payment from booking, I should open the app of booking to show him that this was paid and he said ok I will trust you and give you the key but he made us compile some formulate. Then because of our small dog they gave us a smallest room on the last floor on the other side of the hotel, with small windows on the roof and to get to the room you need to take two elevators. This was not what we saw when booked the hotel. Also they don't clean your room because of the pets even if the pets are out of the room, the cleabing lady manager said they can give us only clean towels if we want. We also chosen this hotel because of in the room you have thermal water coming out of the tap what was not included in the our room for visitors with pets. When we checkout they charged us 20 euro per day for the dog, first of all it is not mentioned on their booking page they charge 20 euro for the pet. Then if you charge your hosts for the pets then please clean the room, do not close the thermal water tap, give the hosts a decent room and not the one special for the pet owners, and mention on the booking page that you charge 20 euro a day. Otherwise do not allow pets in your hotel, because you make the pet owner's vocation horrible.

was over all a pleasant Stay

The Location of the Hotel was very practical, being in the middle of the City as well as being walking distance from most of the things i wanted to visite. Despite being in the City center i didn't experience any Noise that disturbed my Stay/Sleep and it was rather quiet. The Breakfast was very good covering both high Quality and Variety.

There was nothing significant to dislike, the prices per night should have been a bit better but away from that, a very pleasant Stay

best bits: location, very central, perfect for thermal baths, Christmas markets etc check out at midday very friendly staff

the beds! we booked a double room but apparently in German this means two twin beds pushed together so there is a massive gap between the two single mattresses and, even worse, two separate single duvets. apparently this is normal in Germany (though many hotels don’t do this anymore) but I really think this should be made explicitly clear at the point of booking. we booked a double room, we got neither a double bed nor a double duvet so I don’t know how you can call this a double room.

Nice hotel but didn't get what I booked

This is a beautiful hotel, looks chic and cozy. The room I got was very clean and great size. However

I booked a Superior Double Room (that's one big bed) but I got a twin (two small beds next to each orher) so....I didn't sleep very well. Not only I slept in a all bed but also had a single duvet (cover) which means every time I turned the cover was too small and I was cold. How difficult is to provide a DOUBLE bed. If you don't have it just say it so I can book somewhere else.

Very disappointed to find that the hotel did not have thermal spring water operating in any rooms. This was the reason I chose to stay. Booking website didn't inform us about this. Also the room and equipment was old and run down.
