A much welcomed place to shelter during Storm Goretti.

Lovely new bathroom with top end fittings. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Excellent location on the road into Cherbourg, close to commercial areas and car ferry.

Outside doors and public balconies are very old-fashioned and lack privacy. Breakfast was a bit expensive so we didn't have it.

Clean and fair price

1. We were not told about the blinds which provide privacy at nitand slept with it open on first night 2. We were not shown the way to use the shower and had a low pressure shower the first day, 3. The outlet of the shower was partially blocked leading to water flooding the bathroom floor. Despite complaints it was never corrected although we spent 6 nights in hotel.

Room was spacious however overall I wouldn’t stay there ever again.

The smell was really bad, as soon as we entered the room we got hit with a really bad mouldy smell. The room wasn’t cleaned properly. Missing one towel plus the towels were smelling like food. When we checked out we’ve noticed that they were drying the towels in a room next to the kitchen so that explains why the towels were smelling like food.

Disappointing

Facilities are very old and need updating, other guests were also very noisy and with no sound proof the bedrooms are not pleasant even at night so you won’t be able to have a restful night. Only good points are that location is great for ferries and has parking, bed itself was also comfortable. Staff also good and helpful :)

Room very basic and in need of some updating and maintenance, hole in the wall where the door handle had gone through it, probably because you had to use force to open it because it had dropped and was dragging on the floor, I know beds can vary in expectations but neither myself or my wife slept all night because it was like sleeping on a solid board

Location was perfect for me. Plenty of parking. Pet friendly. Rooms are cosy and a good size. Great food and wonderful hospitality. Very polite, professional staff. Restaurant food is terrific. My daughter loved it.

Good stop off from the ferry if you don’t want to drive far. Easy to get back on the road next day.

Convenient and budget-friendly

This is a typical Campanile hotel, with the understanding that it is built to a budget and performs to a budget. The staff were excellent throughout the hotel, the restaurant fine, free on-site parking plentiful and the location very convenient for the Cherbourg ferries.

It is looking sad around the edges and needs a facelift.

Exactly what we expect from a Campanile but have been to others with better restaurants attached

The room had everything needed for an overnight stay. Wi-Fi was good. Close to ferry and supermarket. Staff were pleasant and breakfast adequate.

Although recently painted the room was very dated and smelled of damp as we entered. Evening meal was a very limited choice, cold starters had obviously been sitting on plates a while. Nothing requiring the skill of a chef
