.Disgraceful place and a very rude receptionist

We liked nothing, we had to leave it was disgraceful

Everything the receptionist was not helpful , the bedding was dirty and the rooms were smelly and dirty, the toilets were outside and dirty and the showers were disgraceful dirty and filthy and smelly. It was the hotel from hell and I will be reporting this place to the right authorities. We should be refunded and compensated.

The location was perfect for the port the next morning. The carpark was good with plenty of spaces.

Would not stay again despite cost… pictures not reflective of reality

Man on reception was welcoming and spoke very good English.

1 out of 2 shared toilets were broken. The working one was dirty and smelt quite bad. There was 1 shower room in a corridor of about 10 maybe more rooms. Room was fundamentally acceptably surface clean but smelt very bad of stale smoke- blinds round windows looked like they had been cleaned of nicotine staining but were still fairly grimey. Location was great while waiting for ferry. Vending machines were empty of water or anything else.

It is reasonable priced place to stay for a night on the way to ferry

We were travelling to South and wanted to stay one night after coming out of the ferry. Walking to the centre of Cherbourg took a long time. There was an old building very close to the hotel brilliantly converted to a beautiful Boulangerie and we went there for breakfast next morning.

There was an hand basin in the room but the shower and wc were out in the corridor and shared with the other rooms. No soap in the hand basin.

Meh, sleep and go...

At the check-in we were very well received by a friendly gentleman that explained everything to us. Was nice to have a TV to enjoy some time on the room with family. The hotel is a few minutes walk from a nice boulangerie and kfc, so we could get a meal nearby on a walking distance.

The bed for our child wasn't ready, there were just the sheets on top of the mattress and we booked for 3. I would expect the bed to be ready. We were told there was breakfast available, paid, but available from 6:30. We got there a few minutes before, and the lady seemed very upset by our presence. We were just there waiting for 6:30. At 6:22 she asked us what were we waiting for on a very undesirable tone, and we said we were waiting for breakfast. She replied back on a very upset tone that breakfast was only at 6:30... like...yeah, we know, we were waiting. So, as it didn't seem we were expected and welcome, we just left. I suppose that, people should be more comprehensive and welcome their guests/customers.... That wasn't a good experience for us.

A great stopover to refuel for the night, excellent value for money

The check in system locks you out of access to your room for good if you get your card PIN number wrong twice, which was very annoying after being exhausted and desperately needing somewhere to stop. I forgot my pin and there wasn’t any other verification system so you just cannot get in after that. luckily the lady at the desk was helpful even with the massive language barrier and I managed to get in eventually.

Le personnel accueillant à l'écoute très professionnel ( je suis arrivé après minuit, m'a laissé un mail avant mon arrivée avec tous les codes et chambre préparé, le lendemain pareil j'étais pas sûre de prendre une 2e nuit elle m'a quand même gardé la chambre)

Une honte de faire payer une chambre dans un endroit aussi sale... Je n'ai jamais été dans un endroit pareil, une fois arrivée dans la chambre, j'ai faillit repartir aussi sec mais malheureusement aucun autre hébergement n'était disponible. Les douches et toilettes n'en parlons pas..de vrai sanitaires d'autoroute..odeur nauséabonde et saleté partout. C'est désolant de voir que booking propose ce genre d'hébergement. Je pense que je vais vraiment réfléchir avant de réserver de nouveau sur booking.

Niets, zijn niet geweest, was bijna onvindbaar en naam bleek niet te kloppen. Er staat alleen Hotel op de gevel en het is een voormalig F1 hotel.

Toen we aan kwamen rijden nadat we een half uur gezocht hadden werden we door 4 man beken, we voelden ons onveilig en zeker met de nieuwe motor van 15k hadden we er geen goed gevoel bij. We hebben letterlijk om 18:03 geannuleerd, maar geld is pleite.

prestations conformes au classement de l'hôtel

Sachant dès le départ qu'il s'agissait d'un hôtel "1er prix", nous savions à quoi nous attendre et donc rien à redire sur l'accueil (super !) ainsi que les prestations. Chambre un peu spartiate mais propre et avec équipements fonctionnels (TV - lavabo...).

Petit bémol sur le petit-déjeuner très correct mais où quelques viennoiseries et fruits auraient été appréciés

Un petit déjeuner à 5,5 euros , il ne faut pas s attendre à une merveille . Le pain etait là, petites barquettes de beurre , confitures, miel , une compotte, du jus de pomme, des cereales. Donc raisonables .

Par contre le veilleur de nuit n à pas été prévenu par booking.com de notre arrivé entre minuit et une du matin, nous avons du attendre en téléphonant plusieurs fois à un numero de téléphone . Les chambres nous on été donné à deux heures du matin .
