Rural hotel I believe recently changed hands so you can see work ongoing but this didn’t spoil our visit.
So enjoyed the food especially evening meal!
Minor issues only. Maybe more plug points in bedroom would be helpful

Lovely staff. Evening meal in the restaurant was fantastic. Ideally situated for Standing Stones and Blackhouses.

Perched on the edge of a loch surrounded by the raw landscape of Harris, the Dunan has comfortable facilities without being showy..
Creative inspired cuisine. A true highlight.
Pleasant efficient staff.
The sloping ceiling in room 11, resulting in a few knocks on the head!

The location was perfect and there was excellent bicycle storage
It was very dated and the rooms needed upgrading. There was only a hand held shower over a bath in one room.
The food was poor and arrived cold. The steak pie had no meat but plenty of mushrooms not mentioned on the menu. The rhubarb crumble wasn’t cooked and there were very few choices available.
