Great location, but facilities are a bit limited and could use an update

Location was excellent, walkable from station and right by the cathedral with an easy walk to the lake and everywhere. Loved the nature of the building - traditional and quirky. Very quiet street right in the heart of Como.

Wifi was not good and the instructions to join it were not clear at all. Equipment for kitchen was not as specified/shown in photos - tiny fridge (a replacement of the one in the photo and half the size) missing cutlery and kitchen items (no wine glasses!), which we reported. Very difficult to cook a meal with what was provided. Minimal power sockets in kitchen - you have to unplug the fridge to plug in the kettle!

Great location, but bare bones accomodations

The apartment was in a great location! Right in the mix of Como. We could walk to everything in just a few minutes. It was the best part of this place. It was also very clean, I will say that was very nice.

The accommodations were very meager. The towels were thin and smelled like they were in a dryer that burnt something. The bed was very thin and there were just two pillows and one blanket. Enough to get by, but don't expect more than the basics. If I had booked with the intent of someone sleeping on the pull out sofa, I would have been upset. It was very old and not in good condition. I would have been disappointed if we stayed for more than one night, but for what we needed -- it worked out fine. The location is 10/10.

Wonderful location close to everything!

Loved the location just steps from the Duomo historic square and a few minutes from the lake. Having a full apartment was perfect for relaxing in the evening and getting some work done during the day. Nino was wonderful in assisting me on my departure - he helped me get my luggage downstairs and when he could not find a taxi, even drove me to the train station - what a gem!

There is no elevator and it is self check in - to be fair it was very clear on booking that this was the case! It is a lovely old building with many flights of stairs up to the apartment so as long as one is prepared it is fine! I will learn to pack lighter!

Great stay in Como Town!

Great property, very well located in Como town. It’s on a quiet street so it’s very peaceful yet still close to the hustle and bustle of Como. There are loads of suggestions for tours and restaurants which was very helpful and the self-checkin process was very easy.

WiFi did not work at times and was terribly slow at other times, though we didn’t need it much. Apartment is on the 3rd/4th floor so it’s quite a challenge to get heavy bags up there, there is no lift.

Comfortable stay and perfect location in the heart of Como!

Great location and a really great sized apartment with everything you’d need. And the view of the duomo was great! Rachel and Elisabetta were really communicative too, and very friendly over message.

We couldn’t log in to any streaming services on the TV, which was unfortunate as we were planning to watch something before bed but couldn’t. Whenever we tried to connect to the wifi (even just on our phones) it seemed to only work for a second and then lose connection. The sofa bed was also quite noisy with any small movement. But other than that, it was a great stay.

Exceptional apartment with amazing design and location – small note about the stairs

The decor and design are stunning—every detail is beautifully arranged, and the apartment looks even better in real life. The AC is fantastic and cools the place down perfectly, which made our stay super comfortable. The location is excellent, very well-placed and convenient for getting around. And the host was professional.

The only major issue with the place is the lack of an elevator, especially considering it's located on a very high floor. This made carrying luggage quite difficult. Another minor point is that there were only two pillows provided instead of four, which could be a small improvement for added comfort.

I recently stayed at this apartment and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing

Location

I recently stayed at this apartment and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing, especially considering the high rental price. First of all, the apartment is located on the top floor, which means you have to tackle a steep climb up 70 narrow stairs. This was extremely challenging, particularly for older guests carrying luggage. It’s definitely not suitable for those with mobility issues or heavy bags. Additionally, I was surprised to find the apartment lacking basic amenities that I've come to expect from other rentals. There was no welcome water, no juice, no coffee, and absolutely no supplies like salt or paper towels. Even the essential hand-drying paper for the kitchen was missing. This made the overall experience feel quite bare and unwelcoming. While the location itself is decent, the absence of these basic comforts made the stay far less enjoyable. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and felt that the amenities and service did not match the high cost of the rental. I wouldn't recommend this place unless improvements are made to enhance guest comfort.

Perfect location !

Location was perfect! Just right by the Duomo! Very nice apartment. My friend and I stayed at apartment Faro which was the last one on the top. Checking was very easy, everything was new. Very helpful stuff. Thank you for everything!

Perfect stay in Como Lago

The perfect location very close to the train station and the town centre, yet very quiet. The restaurant on the same building was also amazing. The host was very friendly and flexible with check in times. The apartment is incredibly spacious, it was clean and cozy, and the views are also great. It had all the amenities we needed too.

Clean room and nice location

The room is extremely clean and the bed is very comfortable. The location is close to the harbor. It is located in a quiet street so the sleeping quality was good. There’s a restaurant downstairs and a nice cafe around the corner. We went to the cafe (Just Art Cafe) to have breakfast and the breakfast there is really nice. We met the cleaning lady the next day during check out and she was very friendly.

Room was great, service was not

Location is great, very central and easy to reach. The room was big and comfortable, also well cooled with air conditioning. Definitely all very clean.

Reception process was messy with little explanation of the room location (which was in another building). At the end of the stay we could not pay with credit card due to a malfunction of the facility's payment system. The room was up a long staircase on top floor without elevator (which we did not realize from room description).

Almost the perfect location

The room was as advertised but you do need a little more information relating to the stairs up to these apartments which are on the third floor. We did not have the top apartment but it was 56 steps up to our apartment (top one is 63 steps). If you have any issues with stairs this may not be the ideal accommodation. Location is great, but finding the reception was a little difficult because no major signage outside the reception building (across the road from the aparments). There is no complementary drinks if you are arriving late (or milk for any hot drinks) you are only supplied with toilet paper, tea/coffee sachets. Our TV was broken and it took a couple of days to get replaced but the lovely young lady on reception (Roberta) did everything to sort it out and she is really a very pleasant young lady and very helpful. All the channels are in Italian (no even BBC world news) but you can find music channels which are fairly universal. The hair dryer was also broken but we had our own so was not a problem. I did look at why the hair dryer was not working, see picture below for the answer. There is also just one single clothes rail for all your clothing storage, no draws or cupboards.

A lift up to the third floor would have been a great help. A chest of draws for your smalls would also be very helpful. The battle to get tickets to tour Lake Como is absolute chaos. Its a public transport system which is like going back to the 1970's and the chaos of the nationalized railways in the UK. It just has not moved into the 21st century. You need to buy your tickets online because you can only buy tickets for the same day at the ticket offices (crazy, you can buy a ticket for any day on line - but you can't buy a ticket for tomorrow at the ticket office). This approach leads to chaos, because it's a closed shop and only one provider for a service which is desperate for more cruise boats/ships. For every ticket they sell one person goes away without a ticket, I've never seen so many unhappy people. There's almost nothing that could not be automated which would make life so much easier. Don't be afraid to use other public transport (bus/train) to get upto the center of the lake, it's a little easier to get the boats further up the lake.

The points below are minor but I think they would improve the accommodation if changed. Sparse cooking and washing up equipment - why have a dishwasher and not supply dishwasher tablets, who buys a box of dishwasher tablets for a two night stay? Conversely, no tea-towel for drying pots so we resorted to using a bath towel insted. No cushions on the lounge area - the pullout bed was not great to sit on. Cushions would improve this. Being open plan, the lounge curtains didn't stop the bright morning light coming in at 5.00am. The bed whilst comfortable had no headboard. Thus, you couldn't sit up in bed and read.
