Very professional and friendly staff, an excellent breakfast, impeccable cleanliness, and a perfect location in the old city centre—just steps from the main square (Walterplatz) and only a few steps from the underground garage, which is easily accessible through a tunnel and offers affordable parking. I highly recommend it.

A perfect place to begin our Italian adventure.

Hotel Figl was in the perfect location for walking the streets of Bolzano. They have a delightful courtyard that we enjoyed both for breakfast and happy hour. Their service is amazing. They were able to give us all the information we needed for buses and access to local attractions.

We loved staying there. Central Bolzano is lovely.

The staff are all lovely people—the owners, desk staff, bar/cafe staff. Generous, helpful. Great location in the center. Great perks in parking discount and transit pass which includes the gondola up the mountain, local train and buses.

A non-smoking hotel, but smoking is allowed outdoors on the (very attractive and popular) patio, which is open to the public for breakfast, coffee, and drinks all day/eve. If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke, and you want to be able to open your windows, do not accept a room on the first floor overlooking the patio, as the smoke filters upward. Also the A/C is a bit underpowered.

A Lovely, Traditional Home Away From Home in Bolzano

Breakfast was excellent and they remembered how we liked our coffee every morning. They were very efficient and there was a good choice of food. The location was perfect. Just around the corner from the main square. Beautiful triple pane windows and double sinks in the bathroom with plenty of pillows and towels. We stayed in the Junior Suite which was quiet and comfortable as well as spotlessly clean. Since I had a broken arm, the elevator was very welcome. I don’t know how big the double rooms were. We stayed in a Jr Suite which was spacious and light. The owners and staff went out of their way to be helpful. Our last night there had been a fun music festival. We needed a taxi to get to the train station but because of a traffic jam, none could get through. Antone, the owner, rolled both our suitcases and backpacks down to the train station for us so we wouldn’t miss our train!

There was nothing we didn’t like. We hated to leave.

Bolzano is a lively, Austrian vibe city in Italy. Worth the visit!

The hotel is in the best location for touring Bolzano. It is near the train/bus station. Also near the cable car and some of the tourist attractions.

On one of the days of our stay there, we woke up later than normal due to the long travel to Bolzano (7 hours trip). The head cleaner knocked on our door (woke us up) to ask if we want the room to be cleaned. I said yes, but after we go out for the day. It is quite weird because we were on vacation and can sleep all day if we wanted to. It only happened once out of the days we were there so I guess it was not a normal behaviour.

Very nice and clean good value for money hotel in central Bolzano, good breakfast, staff and parking

Very nice location right in Central Bolzano, above the Walther plaza. Very convenient easy to find parking (use google maps only), with discount with the hotel. We found parking all 3 days we stayed there after skiing. There is an elevator that takes you right to the hotel, if you do not find it, all exists are nearby. Many drinking and eating options nearby. Nice quiet clean rooms and very nice breakfast. Very kind staff. Even though not super cheap, it is way cheaper than other hotels in the area, and definitely worth it if you want parking, breakfast and comfortable clean rooms for a ski trip to many of the nearby slopes!

You may find a bit of traffic in the morning but that is not the hotel’s fault.
