What was so nice about this property were the front desk people. They were kind and helpful. We had trouble with parking and the staff was exceptional in their help. The breakfast buffet was great. The location is in a busy square. Walking to restaurants was easy and accessible.

Hotel is very nice but our room was teeny — hard to even turn around in the bathroom and impossible to share with another person. And we even had a long-standing reservation so it’s not as if we were last minute. Very disappointing.

Vincenzo and the other front desk staff as well as the restaurant staff, were excellent! We had a wonderful time in Bolzano and the Stadt hotel Citta made it a memorable stay. We enjoyed having cocktails every evening on the square. We would highly recommend this hotel!

Terrific. Great location, lovely room, friendly staff. Caveat emptor, though - if you book through Expedia the spa costs extra. It does actually say on the booking page, but it's kind of hidden in the small print. You might think it's a better idea to book through the hotel's own website. I couldn't possibly comment on that.

We stayed here for 1 night in room.426. The hotel is in a great location. The room was tiny and impossible to maneuver with no.place to put anything. Very nice bed but it was the whole room. Also dont eat breakfast outside bc the garbage trucks arrive and the tables are in the alley where.they do the garbage. Beautiful decor throughout

Of the five hotels my wife and I stayed in on our trip to Milan, Varenna, Padua, Venice and the Dolomites, Stadt Hotel Città in Bolzano was the most luxurious. For a few extra euros, we upgraded to a spacious room with a balcony overlooking picturesque Walther Piazza and the city’s Duomo. The hotel also had seating on the piazza for meals, snacks, drinks, and gelato. The breakfast buffet was the fanciest and most complete breakfast that we’ve had included with our room. And the complimentary apple strudel was perfect for a mid-day snack or a late-nite bite. The weekend clerk who checked us in gave us several tips for our visit, plus complimentary drinks for my wife’s birthday. The city is car- and bike-free, which made strolling so enjoyable. And the parking beneath the hotel was convenient and worth the charge.

We stayed in five hotels in nine nights of our vacation in Milan, Varenna, Bolzano, Padua, and Venice, and Stadt Hotel Citta was the most luxurious. For a 25 euro upgrade per night, we got a larger room with doors that opened to a gorgeous view of the City Center square. The room was spacious and fashionable. Our room rate included the best complimentary buffet breakfast we’ve ever had. And the complimentary apple strudel in the lobby around the clock was a nice touch. The hotel has a restaurant and bar, including outdoor seating bordering the square. For my wife’s birthday, we each received a free drink. Excellent location for exploring Bolzano.

The 2 nights stay at Stadt Hotel was excellent. Staffs were friendly & kind. Check in was fast, and the apple strudel welcome dessert was excellent. Piazza Walther was just 2 minutes walk & surrounding were filled with good restaurants. My first impression with Bolzano was great.

We found the location to be ideal and convenient for the Aldstadt. The hotel is superbly placed and in easy reach of the main railway. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delightful in range and quality with as many double espressos as we could handle! The spa was of excellent quality with great ease of use being on a booking system.

Cons: being a 4* property expected in-room facilities such as milk/cream sachets were not provided, milk had to be paid for €5, spa facilities not free for residents charge of €20pp applied, no body lotion/creams provided, used cups not replaced by cleaning team Otherwise, it was a great stay and the benefit of free Bolzano card was really helpful to explore around.Thankyou

For an older property, it was well maintained. The room was spacious and bed comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive. A big shoutout to Shaby, who is the epitome of service. This hotel is listed as a parking-restricted area, but let me reiterate that this means driving-restricted. There is polizei directing traffic into the old city and they won’t let you in by car without proof of a hotel booking. After obtaining access, I ended up with my huge BMW in the middle of a crowd of people in Piazza Walther. The GPS was taking me around it but there were no signs on the street indicating I couldn’t drive there, and if there were I couldn’t read/understand them. The people were mad and cussing at me, but the polizei wasn’t. They laughed at my stupidity and said to drive through them but get out. Parking is public not private, accessed by a side street that leads to underground parking, for Hotel Greif and Hotel Stadt and others. I suggest not moving your car from whatever parking space you’re lucky enough to find initially and either walk around Bolzano henceforth or use public transit. The hotel rooms are old and small, but renovated beautifully and my view of Walther Square and the surrounding Alps was breathtaking. Breakfast in the morning was good, I would suggest for this luxury hotel to upgrade bread choices, service staff helpful, but the breakfast lounge was so crowded they had to overflow guests to the restaurant. I would also suggest programming within all booking apps the address to the PARKING and not the address to the hotel entrance. When we push “Directions” while driving in a crowded city we do not see specialized instructions

Bathroom was very small and not representative of the photos on the website. No wash cloths, asked for multiple extra pillows only got one. Breakfast was terrible, tables were dirty, no service , do we left after waiting to no abail.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was nice. The staff was very helpful. We had a dinner at the restaurant there, it was very good. The breakfast buffet was the best we had in our travels around Northern Italy. We went to see the Iceman museum, very interesting. Also can recommend the ride in the tram, great views. The people in Bolzano were friendly, helpful and boisterous in a fun way.

We were welcomed very warmly and treated with kindness and generosity by Shabi, who was at the desk. My husband had had an incident with a motorbike and Shabi was extremely helpful and went the extra mile! We loved the location, the rooms, the friendly staff, the wonderful breakfast.
