A good stay in the heart of Huntingdon.

Perfect location on the high street. With free parking. The staff were friendly, helpful and happy. The breakfast was really good and great value and great variety. The restaurant and bar areas are very welcoming. The bedroom was clean .and the bed was comfy.

Its a very old building and consequently the floor boards creak and are noisy as you can hear the the other guests walking around too. Also the decor in the bedroom is tired and paintwork needs a refresh but despite that the staff provide a great service, and make you feel welcome.

Good location, great coffee and excellent staff

Noisy. First night the room next to us had a party till 2 am, next night there was a wedding. I do wish places would tell people there is a function happening in the day- had we known we would go somewhere more whet to rest after a day’s work. Although the loud music ended at midnight, the noise caused by drunk guests in the rooms and corridors continued. Also, tv signal was abysmal, impossible to watch anything. Water too cold to have a hot bath.

Really enjoyed our one night stay.

It was warm in all the rooms and there is a comfortable bar with restaurant and additionally a lounge to just sit in. The room was a good size. We had a good breakfast and a good evening meal. Situated right in the town centre and the friendly receptionist gave us a town guide leaflet. Good also to have its own car parking space.

The shower was a little complicated to work out at first but that is a small point and it was not obvious where the car park is, so maybe tell guests in advance how to get into it since although free for guests it is part of a public car park.

Staff very friendly. Some more than others. Any questions they were very quick to answer. Room was spacious. Breakfast was great. Used good quality products.

Floor boards extremely creaky and noisy. Could hear people walking around especially in the next room. Slight disappointment with my eggs at breakfast. I asked for poached and the yolk was hard.

Disappointed with my stay this time !

Been going to this hotel for about 8 years now. It’s now looking very tired and need of a update . The window frames were mouldy and black ! Bath definitely needs replacing. I wasn’t feeling very well when I got there or I would have complained. Not sure I would stay there again if things are not updated

I always choose this Hotel as it is a good price, clean, the staff are very friendly, the beds are really comfortable and it's in town close to shops and train station. So ideal for many of my needs.

You need to understand the age of the building and then you will realise that, it will creek and perhaps not get the hot water you are used too, but it’s a 3 star and for £55 a night it’s excellent.

Lovely Christmas Stay

The helpful staff, the food, comfy beds and because it was Christmas, the beautiful seasonal decoration. Close to amenities,sizable car park and a real characterful building with warm and toasty rooms in winter.

Booking.com didn't forward my requirements until the day before we left. I am disabled physically and sight impaired and required a twin room with easy access We were given room 17...up 2 flights of stairs, along a corridor, down more stairs, along a corridor and down more stairs and almost to the far end of a corridor. I was able to use a stair lift for the first set of stairs.. But the long long walk to my room, made coming down for breakfast, then up again, get ready to go out, and down again became impossible. So although included in my room cost, I only had one cooked breakfast and one round of toast in the week of my stay. Very disappointed that we couldn't move rooms.Perhaps Booking.com should review their actions. The hotel CAN be disability friendly if needs are shared timeously .

Solidly good stay and excellent breakfast!

Rooms are spacious and warm, beds are comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the staff are attentive and kind.

It's an old building, that's just how it is, and this creates some issues. The rooms aren't really sound proofed, so you will hear pretty much everything happening around your room. Ear plugs will help. The ensuite of our room felt a bit dated and utilitarian. It all worked fine and was clean, which is more than can be said for some other hotels.

Lovely staff so helpful and accommodating

Staff so helpful and friendly. Allowed me and my husband to have breakfast earlier than 8 due to my work commitments and nothing was a problem for them. Breakfasts are just beautiful, best English breakfast I have had for a long time. Local produce, such as bacon and sausages, very nice. I left my earbuds under the pillow but only noticed once I was back up the North East, they sent these out to me with no further cost.

Location good but no atmosphere or comfort.

Hotel is now very tired. Could no longer cope with unevenness of floor. Even the bed was on a slope and creaking floorboards woke me in the night. Breakfast was nothing special- food mediocre- poor atmosphere- not relaxing.

It’s a big property so upkeep must be challenging but it certainly felt quite tired and in need of a refresh. The heating was on full blast and couldn’t be turned down as the valve was faulty on the radiator. Curtains had tears in the back and the bathroom was in need of maintenance.

The room was cozy and warm, the breakfast was tasty and a good variety on the menu. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location great for the centre of town and free parking.
