Our stay at Villa Tivoli was very relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel is a paradise for those who like to stay away from city centers and noise. It is surrounded by nature, vineyards and Apple trees fields. From the hotel the center is only 20 min walk, as well as many hiking paths also reachable from the hotel. Outdoor, indolor pools and sauna also very nice after an active day. The staff of the hotel are very welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. The fruit cakes and the Kompotte were very delicious.

The room would be more enjoyable with a Smart TV and maybe a Fan or air conditioner

A Gem of Serenity

Villa Tivoli is a family business with caring attention to detail and comfort. The hospitality is very welcoming striking a perfect balance between etiquette and privacy. The hotel surrounds are beautiful with varying flowers and plantings. The pool has a lovely view and there are scattered niches for loungers and umbrellas. The rooms have lots of towels which is so nice because of the pool. Housekeeping was perfect. The breakfast is just wonderful with so many varying items from which to choose. The service for both dinner and breakfast is top notch making either a morning or an evening very relaxing. The menu offerings are delicious. I really appreciated being able to have my lunches out when I was exploring Merano, and then return in the evening for an exceptional dinner. Villa Tivoli is a jewel.

IF you are heat sensitive you may find the lack of air conditioning in the room a drawback. There are effective window coverings to minimize the summer heat. In the evenings I slept with the windows open---- still very private, and I appreciated the soft night air. The scent of the jasmine plantings is dreamy.

Impressed

The major asset of this hotel must be the family running it. Always present, always helpful, know the area whatever it is you are coming to visit for. Quiet location overlooking apple orchards and Meran; all you hear are the 100’s of birds. Great outdoor pool. Hotel has an excellent restaurant; breakfast selection is impressive, with many local cheeses and fresh baked bread and cake.

A Perfect Italian romantic holiday…

We were given the upgraded room which is facing the apple plantation. The room is very spacious and comfortable. Rodolfo (not sure I have the correct spelling) is very welcoming and an excellent host. The restaurant chef (not sure his name) knew what we wanted and so we had our dinner at the restaurant on both nights. The property is also close to the Merano town.

Overpriced

Very friendly staff.

The building and the common areas are nice, the room we were in was extremely basic with even some of the essentials like a nightstand missing. No decor, just white walls. Felt very sanitized and low budget. You don’t get what you paid for.

Anytime and highly recommended for a quiet, relaxing holiday.

Wonderful setting in lush gardens overlooking the countryside of Meran. The pool is spectacular. Nice breakfast, almost spoiled for choice. For dinner, the restaurant is very good and the wine recommendations were excellent. In fact, we ate in more often than we planned. Very quiet location, yet in 15..20’ you can walk to Meran city centre. Host and staff are very friendly and accommodating and open to special requests. Our suite was large and clean. The view was amazing.

The Villa Tivoli is a family run hotel where everyone is made to feel welcome and at home.

There is very little to find fault with the Villa Tivoli. The room was a generous size and the location is wonderful, set on the edge of Merano within easy walking distance of the town, with beautiful views over the valley and the mountains. The breakfast was excellent and the staff went out of their way to accommodate the special dietary requests of my friend, who is lactose intolerant. I would certainly go back again.

Hervorragendes Frühstück mit selbstgemachten Marmeladen und Gebäck und allem was das Herz begehrt. Das Personal ist äußerst zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Wir haben ein Zimmerupgrade bekommen. Die Lage zu den Lauben ist fußläufig und ein sehr schöner Sparziergang von 10 Minuten.

Tutto perfetto, la stanza era praticamente una suite! Immensa e ben arredata. Bagno enorme, ambiente super riscaldato(anche troppo). Piscina interna accessibile e peccato essere rimasto solo una notte di passaggio per motivi di lavoro. Colazione abbondante, varia, e con un caffè degno di essere chiamato tale... Ritornerò a breve, a dicembre altra trasferta per lavoro.

Sehr freundliches und engagiertes Personal. Man fühlte sich direkt sehr herzlich willkommen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist der Hammer! Selten so eine Auswahl gehabt, von einer großen Auswahl an Brot und Brötchen über verschiedene regionale Kuchenspezialitöten, bin hin zu Ricotta und eingelegtem Obst. Der Aussenpool liegt malerisch im Fels mit herrlichem Ausblick.

Wohlfühlort, abseits von Trubel mit herzlichen Gastgebern

Ein sehr vielfältiges Buffet, zusätzliche Wünsche wurden mit einem freundlichen Lächeln entgegengenommen und erfüllt. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer ruhigen, sonnigen Lage zwischen Obstanlagen, unterhalb des Dorf Tirol mit einem schönen Blick auf Meran. Die Mitarbeiter waren einfach toll.

Der Weg ins Zentrum von Meran zieht sich, aber für Besucher , die Bewegung mögen, überschaubar.
