Awesome stay. Highly recommend this hotel

Great location 5 minutes walk to the train station, side street quiet, clean room exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t get breakfast - plenty of places to eat and Coop supermarket 10 minutes walking distance. Very convenient to exploring Zurich, other places/towns/cities by train, 15 minutes to the airport. Highly recommend!

I and another couple returning at around 9PM had some trouble opening the doors. Their card worked opening the outer door while mine didn’t, and then their card couldn’t open the inner door while mine worked. I’m glad there was someone else with me at the door and our combined efforts worked.

Perfect for a one-night stay for a work lunch meeting.

Location was good. I was able to check in early, and didn't have store my bags until check-in time. Room is clean and functional.

Wifi was a bit flakey for a conference call, but I switched to my phone s it wasn't an issue.

Wonderful staff. Small room and bath. Terrible pillows.

The hotel is very near the train station. The interesting Landesmuseum is en route to the hotel. The staff were absolutely wonderful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We did not have the breakfast plan and their breakfast room was being renovated. They pointed us to the bakery next door, which actually also serves scrambled eggs. We had a delicious breakfast, complimented by very friendly staff.

There was only one plug by the bed and we need 2 for all our gadgets. There was another plug high on a side wall so that the laptop cord was dangling in the exit route from the bed. There was another plug above the toilet but not safe for electronic devices. The pillows were pretty much flat and there were no second pillows to lean on to work or read in bed. The room and bathroom are very small and storage space is minimal. It was okay for our one-night visit but would be difficult for a longer visit. There are radiators that made it quite warm and there was no way to control that heat. There was a second overhead "split" heating system so I am sure it never is too cold. The bathroom and shower were very but the water was hot.

Great location, 2 miute walk from the station, next to the old town & attractions. Great hotel for my 1 night stay before I went to the airport. The friendly & helpful service from the front desk when I had some questions. Thank you

Great location, expensive but adequate hotel

Good location about 5-10 minutes walk from the station. Reception only available between 0800-2000 but both times we had dealings (extra pillows & Swiss electrical adaptor) he was friendly and helpful. We used the screen check in system just inside the front door which was fine but some people may not like.

Quite an expensive hotel although this is Switzerland! The room we stayed in felt dated and worn but was OK for our needs. The pillows are thin so requested an additional pillow. The lift is old fashioned and tiny, capacity of 2 people with small cases.

Comfortable and convenient stay in Zurich near train station.

We stayed here because of its closeness to the train station. It was very convenient and comfortable. The host at check-in was polite and accomodating. There was a ( very small) lift to the upstairs rooms. We enjoyed a complimentary apple at reception- beautiful. Easy walk into the main part of town. A very comfortable one night stay.

Breakfast is at a cafe outside the hotel. The voucher given by the hotel is basically that restaurant offering a limited and standard set of meals. Overall it was good, the staff tried to help a lot, for example they helped us check in 3 hours early.

There were no places to charge phones next to the beds.

A little treasure in the heart of Zürich

It was so convenient for the railway station which even with my slow walking was less than 5 minutes. The staff were excellent and very helpful and had a stock of electrical adapters when i realised i had forgotten mine. The hotel was clean with fresh fruit on the reception desk for guests, and breakfast served in the cafe next door currently, was delicious.

Great location but poor experience

Staff was really kind and helpful, location was great- very close to Zurich HB station

The room was quite small, the toilet flush wasn’t working properly, and the mattress was uncomfortable. The room also didn’t feel as clean as expected. Breakfast wasn’t served on-site- you have to walk down to a nearby cafe, which is convenient but not ideal.

Breakfast was delicious and convenient. The staff was very friendly. The room was dark and quiet and we slept well despite being in a big city. Bathroom was clean.

Disappointing

Location near trams and train station. Close to the Old Town and major sites plus bars and restaunts.

Small room and small bed even for a single. Headboard was some kind of radio system. Limited places to hang clothes. Breakfast was in a cafe up the road with no choice if you didn't like scrambled egg.

A great option for Zurich visitors

A fantastic location—just a 5-minute walk from Zurich Main Station and the Old Town, with plenty of tram stations nearby for easy transport. The breakfast comes in a package format, but it includes everything you need . The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the rooms were spotless, well-maintained and styled with a charming 20th-century touch.

Room close to train station with some weird interactions

Good location. Close to the train station. Quiet.

I had to hand over the key of my room every time I left the hotel, which I found very uncomfortable. The door seemed to already have been broken out once. There is no breakfast buffet, instead one gets a fixed plate, which is fine. I just didn't like that every single item is individually packed. Butter, Jam, 2-3 cheese sticks, .... A lot of trash generated. At checkout, I was asked to pay for water that I allegedly took from the Minibar. After refusing, it was framed as a mixup. Not sure, if true or if they just try this regularly. A kettle in the room would have been nice, for the price.

This place is delightful, with older amenities that are charming and well kept. I thought it was a lot of fun, especially for the short stay. The standard breakfast was filling and the staff was very nice. I would rebook if I'm ever back in zurich

Very comfortable stay with nice memories.

Location was perfect, walking distance from the train station and walking distance to everything in the city. The owner and the staff were very polite, helpful by all means, very nice atmosphere. Nice and fresh European breakfast, small it very comfortable room. I would not look for any other places to stay if I come again to Zurich. This family owned hotel deserves more stars in ratings then some other places that rated higher on booking.
