Nice place with a unexpected issue

The bed was comfortable & the linens were high quality.

The bathroom was indeed private to us as listed but it was unclear (till we got there) that we had to exit the room, walk outside a few steps to enter the bathroom. So I felt vulnerable especially since the bathroom could not lock from the outside with the key given. (We were told "not to worry about it") If this had been made clear in the listing, we could have packed dressing gowns.

The outside of the place looks run down, there was a musty smell on arrival and the balcony doors don’t lock, which if I had been alone would have worried me.

Other thanhaving to rely on rides back in the evening, my stay was quite comfortable.

No breakfast provided. Coffee, tea and milk were available. Hosts were very congenial and helpful. It was quite comfortabe for my nearly two-week stay.

It is located up a steep street which was problematic for me. I could walk down the hill in the morning, but needed to get a ride each evening. The shower in the bathroom was disappointing. I could not stand directly under it without flooding the bathroom. I had to squat in the tub to use the wand.

An amazing accomodation, very comfortable & relaxing with great sea views

The accommodation was incredibly comfortable. The beds were so cosy, and the towels were thick and comforting. It had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The location was easy to find, and the stunning sea views from the decks were a bonus. The modern shower provided good pressure, and the hosts were very kind and thoughtful. They turned the heater on to warm up the place before we arrived and greeted us warmly. They also helped us out when we needed it. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Cozy and clean bedroom area. The price was reflective of the accommodation. There was a lovely dog that greeted us.

The unfinished and detached bathroom. It should be stated in the accommodation description that the bathroom is separate from the room. There were small nails from a carpet tack-strip sticking up where the carpet met the tile in both the front and back of the bedroom. The open garage area, right next to entrance to unit, is quite messy and could use a door or curtain in front of it.

The hosts are just lovely - a warm welcome when we arrived! The location is pretty good - up the hill. Everything really clean

I might have mis-read the detail so it might have been my mistake but I thought I was booking an apartment which implies, to me, a basic kitchen, there is a microwave but no sink. The room is at the back of the house, so have to step outside to get to the bathroom... wasn't expecting that.

The location is amazing and views are great! Bed was comfortable.

It was not clean at all. There is mould around the sink in the bathroom. I went to put stuff in the cupboard and my hand went straight through a cobweb. My husband cleaned out the utensils holder and all the mugs because they were not clean. Just put a real damper on our stay, especially considering how much we paid.

Great place in Ahipara

Spacious, clean, and very comfy bed. Sparkling bathroom, newly done. Own carpark space, fridge in the room, access to the garden, a table to eat/work and fast internet. One of these places where you feel like you got more than what you paid for, a rare occurrence these days.

Arrived late, left early, sadly no time to experience the area, the view and the garden.

Loved this accommodation! It feel very quiet and private. The room is extremely comfortable. It is nicely decorated and well maintained, and it looks great! There’s a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster in the room. Comfortable bed and large screen tv! The bathroom is right next to the room and is lovely - hot shower, very clean. There’s a very lovely garden with a lovely view. The hosts are very friendly, welcoming, and keen to help with anything I needed. Overall this was a fantastic stay and I would definitely recommend!
