About this house rental

Within 3 minutes' walk to the beach, est 120 metres. A fully sized house with 3 double bedrooms, an added bonus of a conservatory, the deck runs the length of the house with great sea views. (This home was built in 1955, so it is a bit dated, but it is comfortable) Dining table has 8 chairs. A BBQ on the deck for guests to use. The showers have very low pressure unfortunately. The 2nd bathroom is outside with shower and toilet in a little shed ideal for after your swim. Full size kitchen. Plenty of parking outside. A short walk to the beach and playground est 120 meters, then just a bit further along is a Shop/Takeaways/Cafe. Close to Coopers Beach with its small group of shops which includes a large 4 Square, Close to Mangonui with its lovely Restaurants. The Decoration is a bit dated. (Discount for 7 day or longer stay)

Smoking allowed outside only but be considerate to others.
Linen (included); Cleaning - please leave the property clean and tidy as you found it :)
Guests must adhere to the number of guests booked in, extra guest will not be tolerated, without prior consent.

This property is in a great location for a visit to Cable Bay. The view is fantastic and there is a lot of space. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom was clean enough. Surfaces that regularly got cleaned were fine but there were some cobwebs here and there and it looked like it had been quite some time since anyone has given the top of the refrigerator or cupboards some attention. The property could use a deep clean and maybe a fresh coat of paint.

This was a fantastic base from which to explore the far north, especially te Paki right up by Cape Reinga. When the weather packed it in a day later we enjoyed playing monopoly and watching the rain. Great stay thanks!

We had a awesome stay The accommodation had everything we needed and more. Very private great views and short walk to beach . Great location to explore the area we swam at Taipa beach played in the rock pools at Cable Bay caught fish off Coopers Beach ate some great street food and had good time at Mangonui Hotel

Lyn was fantastic with her communication - before, during and after our stay. The location of the house is great! Walking distance to the beach, playground, little cafe/fish&chips/ice cream place. From the moment you wake up to the moment you fall asleep you are guaranteed an incredible background of the sound of the waves on the shore.There was everything my little one could dream of - toys, books, the conservatory, fishing hod (for him!). We were also pleased there was all we needed too - "sunbrella" (hahaha), fishing hods, full kitchen, good size beds, toys, laundry, etc. All easy to use, easy to access.It is also a short distance from other beautiful places and easy drive further up. Recommend this place :)

Our extended family stayed for 3 nights and we had a fantastic time. The Bach had loads of kids toys, beach umbrellas, chairs and everything we needed for a day at the beach which was only a 3min walk down the road. The owner Lyn was fantastic at communicating everything we needed to know before we arrived and we throughly enjoyed our stay.

We recently stayed here while fishing in Doubtless Bay. The home is warm and comfy, we enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings and early mornings. Great view and location with friendly hosts. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to other larger groups.

Central to many tourist spots and in particular the beautiful beaches All the place had to offer including beach towels boogie boards and fishing rods meant we needn’t had to travel with excess luggage. Stayed with my Grandaughter and small dog for 5 nights in September. This delightful property has EVERYTHING you could ask for ....FULL kitchen and Laundry facilities, comfortab;e beds, secure parking and only a short walk from the beach. The house is very warm and cosy and I would imagine kept cool in the summer as it has a Heat Pump and full Ranch Sliders opening on to a huge deck overlooking Doubtless Bay. Lyn kept in regular contact and was available via mobile 24/7 if required. I highly recommend this property though would advise against booking using VRBO.......Suggest Booking via Air B 'n B ....a much les convoluted process !!!!

Lyns whare was definitely a home away from home for us. It had everything you could ever need and more from kids wetsuits (in a wide range of sizing) fishing rods, a toy room & board games galore just to name a few! We literally just needed clothes and kai and we were sorted for the week. The views from the deck are stunning, The beach and playground is less than a 5min stroll away. Our whanau throughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend. Our only fault found (which made me slightly anxious with two toddlers) was the decking rail was quite low and gaps between railings a tad wide which Lyn explained on arrival and provided us with a child safety gate which was awesome for my sanity. Again… we absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Enjoyed our stay, for our family of six adults & two kids under five & two dogs. Clean & tidy home. Beautiful seaviews from most of the house & 3mins walk to a lovely quiet beach & shop across the road. Quiet neighborhood. Countdown & cafe five minutes drive away. Famous Mongonui fish & chips was expensive but nice. Thai restaurant was so lovely in Mongonui.

Lyn was great to deal with leading up to and throughout our stay. There was a lot of effort in making sure the property was set up for the age group of our children which was a nice touch. The house has a great view, is close to the beach and walking distance to the ice cream store. Highly recommend if you are heading up to the far north.
