Relatively quiet location (at night), close to the bus station, comfortable beds, good shower...

We checked in at night, later than we anticipated, and we were greeted with a smile. The host was lovely to chat with and he even helped us pick a restaurant to go to (Saturday is live music night for the restaurants nearby, so you might want to book a reservation in advance).
Entry to the room is regulated with a card. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable, more than any other hotel I have been to.
I strongly recommend Hotel Iris to anyone looking for a place to stay in Plovdiv.

its ok, I think its a hotel mostly used by truckers - don't let this put you off if you're just looking for somewhere to crash and the price is right. when I booked it, it was the cheapest hotel in Plovdiv that night, and for the price, that's cool. Also, the heating worked REALLY well so that was amazing. If I was to do it again, I would probably pay 20% more for a "real" hotel. no English at the desk on this occasion so be prepared to do al little google translate. If you're just needing the basics to crash this place is clean, relaxed, quiet, and reasonable value
for the price, on the night I stayed, you couldn't really fault anything
