Perfect apartment for a Kotor City trip

The style and location of the apartment in the old town are simply fantastic. You feel at home right away. All major sights are just a few minutes’ walk away. The small kitchen is equipped with everything you need — maybe not enough for a four-course meal, but perfect for cooking a quick pasta dish. There’s even a washing machine, so I was able to do my laundry during my stay. The internet didn’t work properly at first for some reason, but it was easy to connect to the restaurant’s Wi-Fi instead — no big deal.

Great value and location.

Excellent location. Two restaurants, a cafe, and a small variety store right in front. Perfect for exploring old town. Host was good and communicated well. The apartment is big and clean.

The showering facility felt unclean and gross. All four of us refused to use it.

Okay place to stay but short on basic amenities.

Very quiet despite the central Old Town location. Clean and comfortable.

No toaster. No butter knives and only two forks. No kitchen towel. No mirrors except in bathroom which has no outlet - made blow drying and styling hair a challenge.

Great location, great communication, but spoiled by the smell and extra cost

Central location in the heart of the old town

Could not open any windows as it had the extractor from the restaurant below,, The apartment smelt of cooking/fostey , it was advertised at 44€ but once booked we got notice from the owner that there was 18€ city tax and 20€ cleaning costs to be added , we then got a further notice near the time of arrival that they wanted cash only , it was also advertised as free parking, when actually it cost us 30€ in the local parking area , when all added up we could have stayed in a nice 4-5 star hotel

Cute room at a good price

Cute room with small kitchen sink, frig & microwave.

Not easy to find, but a video we received by owner was good. There are 4 flights of stairs for luggage that were not posted on the listing. The unit had settling noises happened 2 or 3 times every hour. Some loud enough it sounded like someone was at the door.

Lovely apartment in Kotor

The apartment is in an excellent central location. All the sights of Kotor are easily reached on foot. It was clean and well furnished. The bed was particularly comfortable. The kitchen area was well equipped, the bathroom small but adequate. Providing a washing machine was especially appreciated and proved simple to use. The small terrace outside is screened from public view and therefore private. We enjoyed both eating breakfast outside and also sitting quietly in the late evening with a drink. There is a bar just outside at the bottom of the steps and all the restaurants are within easy reach. All in all, a lovely apartment in an ideal spot.

The property wasn’t set up as best as it could have been for our arrival. The entrance was overgrown and messy with rodent droppings.

Lovely town, excellent location, hosts were disorganised and not prepaired for us this time around.

The location was excellent for exploring the old town. Each night, the square had musicians playing for the dinner crowd, which was lovely to hear while sitting in the apartment.

The communication between the 3 different property managers was annoying. We were escorted to the apartment, which had not been cleaned from the previous guests, very disappointing. We were offered 2 two alternative flats to stay in, which was great. Having just unpacked and slept there one night, the host then asked us to move to the previous room as it had now been cleaned. The host explained that their cleaner was sick and unable to attend to the apartment and the flat we were in was booked by another group.

Great location in the heart of old town. Walk out right into the action!!! Spacious apartment.

No parking related to the place so good luck finding a place. Basic amenities….Had to ask for toilet paper and soap. We were also asked to pay by cash when credit card was supposed to accepted, said his POS was down but not sure how true that was.

Small clean apartment with everything you need in a great location within the old town.

Great location in old town. Small, clean apartment with everything you need. Be prepared for the church bells to wake you at 7am every morning which I actually liked.

Instructions on how to find the apartment weren’t great on booking.com and contact number provided was turned off which had us panicking because we arrived in late evening. They had tried sending us a message on WhatsApp but knew it wasn’t received and didn’t try contacting us any other way. The property manager also insisted on receiving payment in euros cash which was not made clear on the website.

Didn't get what we booked and paid for

We chose this apartment because the host advertised in Booking that they have "Free parking". The parking they offered, however, showed to be a public parking. Being outside the old town the park obviously was full of cars, with no free parking space whatsoever. So, we had to park elsewhere and pay 30€ for parking, 2€/hour. The second joke was the apartment which wasn't the same as in the pictures in Booking. According to Booking there should have been a hot tub, free toiletries, bath robes, slippers, shower caps and even tootbrushes (??). NONE of these things were in the apartment. Instead, we got a basic old town apartment with no special conveniences. According to Booking the apartment shoud be "four stars". The host refused to give us any refund, even though we of course asked for it. The man we met didn't speak a word English. He was a young man, who used Google translator and called to the third and even to the fourth part who then translated and told him what to do. The man didn't want to see our passports, so we guess they didn't register us at all. All this was a big disappointment since we have used Booking a lot and everything has always worked very well. We don't think that service providers like this should be offered by Booking at all.

Great location, friendly & helpful staff, comfortable studio but not exactly as advertised!

The location was great right in the center of Old Town. The room was small but comfortable enough. The young guys who met me when I arrived were very nice and helpful and carried my suitcase up to the room on my arrival and down again when I departed. So eager to please. The the guitar music at night from the plaza filtered up into my room, but it was very nice relaxing music and the guitar player quit by 10 PM so not an issue for me. The church bells which were quite loud started ringing at about six in the morning every hour until about 9 o'clock at night again this did not bother me but the room was definitely not soundproof..

On the down side their description on the site was not accurate. It was advertised as a Seaview room, and there was no sea view. if you stuck your head out the window, you may be able to see the very tops of a few masts of some of the sailing ships in the harbor, but you would need a neck like a giraffe to see any water. The description also stated there was a hot tub which definitely did not exist. The bathroom had a walk-in shower, which was just fine for me. The description said the room was equipped with robe and slippers, which also did not exist, and the toiletries were included, and there were none in the apartment, however, when I text and asked about this, they did send up some bath gel, some dish soap, and some shampoo. The waist bucket in the kitchen was teeny tiny and I was staying a week so I requested some garbage bags which I did not get. The other issue I had was that there were lots of stairs and the first three sets of stairs were part of the fort stairs and they were rocky and uneven and used by the public so they were littered with garbage . Once I got up those 3 sets of stairs, I had another set of stairs, going down to the door and then once inside the door up again another flight of stairs so if anyone has mobility issues or cannot do lots of stairs, this may not be the place for them.

Responsive staff but...

The location was great. Right smack in Old Town and beside the hike to the fortress. They are responsive in the messages. When we needed toilet paper they brought it over immediately. There is a washing machine and clothesline which was great. The place was spacious, had a fridge too.

They were responsive before and after we checked-in but when we needed them the most- when we arrived - they stopped responding. So we waited 20 to 30 min outside the apartment. Even when I told them my arrival time, even when I told them that I am walking over from the bus station, even when they told me "they will be waiting for me". Also they had multiple different people that attended to us which was confusing because we weren't sure who is legit and who isn't. Also they charged 2 euros per person per night for city tax but when I went to pay with them to the authorities, it was only 1 euro and they paid 1 night less. So we paid them 12 euros and they only paid the authorities 4 euros. Not a big deal but shady.

Very enjoyable!!!!

Perfect location if you want to be in the middle of town! Owners were fantastic. Missed my flight didn’t arrive till midnight. Lazar was there to greet me. I felt bad but he was great. One small thing. Daniella his wife showed up. Asking if I needed anything. I needed toilet paper. I would go and buy some. That afternoon she had left some hanging on the door!!! Little things.

The location is very good in the old town. The host is very friendly and he told us about Kotor and attractions nearby. The house was big, clean, and has everything you would need during your stay. For families with little baby, they have a cot and baby food chair.

Perfectly located, decently-appointed cosy apartments

Location is perfect - in the middle of the old town, off of a lively plaza/square, bathrooms were nice, air conditioning worked well, host is lovely/friendly/helpful

Because of the restaurants/caffe bars below, the noise continues late into the evening, which may not work for families with smaller children. Lots of stairs so if you have issues with carrying baggage up steps, etc, please note this place requires climbing to get to and every time you come home to it.

Parking wasnt hard but you need cannot access the apartman with a car - we knew this in advance so not a surpsize and the inner castle / old town location compensates for it - in the high season parking can be a challenge. The fact you are in the oldtown has many advantages but a few disadvantages as-well - this is not Apartman specific but the tourist traffic or church bell ringing is a bit louder then at a secluded location.
