It was a central location, and good if you like a noisy pub environment until after midnight.
Having your own bathroom and balcony.
I stayed during Carnaval (which i was unaware of). The main party area was surrounding the hotel and went all night. The smoking area was directly below my window and balcony, so i couldnt open it.
The bar is open til Midnight and this could be heard from the room.

The locations is just amazing. Right in the centre, 5min from the train station, restaurants and attractions right on the door step. Loved the style of the bathroom pod in particular.
Acoustics were not good. I was able to hear my neighbour walk. It wasn’t too bad as it they didn’t move during the night.

Location - beautiful view of the river and Kapellbrucke.
Close to station.
Good shower, clean room, helpful staff.
I didn't eat downstairs at the pub but it looked good and it was always busy with a good vibe but not boistrous or rowdy!
I would recommend La Bonne Cave , a wine bar, a few doors away from the Pickwick.
I really can't think of anything.
The fact there is not a full-time and separate reception area might discourage some people.
Double-check that the door is locked behind you when you leave your room - I had to close my door quickly to make sure it stay locked.

I had a cute little room with a balcony directly at the covered bridge. Quiet, comfy, clean, couldn't get more central.

Location, near the chapel bridge, shopping, close to train station. Great food at the pub! And drinks too.

Great view in old town, convenient to all amenities and train station. Funky experience checking in at the pub, but staff was exceptional.

The location, my lovely view and the cleanliness of my room.
The decor in stairs and lift is antiquated.

The location is excellent! Our room was large and surprisingly quiet as we were directly above the pub. We didn’t have that much interaction with the staff, but they were efficient at check-in and escorted us to our room.
A suggestion to upgrade your bath towels!

Lively place with lovely, welcoming staff. Very kind to provide a free upgrade to a bigger room on arrival.
Unfortunately I was kept awake both early and late. After midnight combination of chatter from the other rooms / bar on ground floor. Agree I should have expected this I suppose. Then the Saturday market was setting up outside my window from 05:30.
If you are planning on sightseeing rather than partying then this is probably not going to give you a good night’s sleep for a full day of plans ahead. Perfect if you are there to join the fun in the bar though.

The location close to everything, the view from the small balcony was great, staff where very helpful , the lift help a lot with luggage, rooms very clean.
The outside noice in night time, rooms a bit small, for two or three nights good but not longer than that.

Loved the location - right on the river across from the Chapel bridge. I was concerned the room may be small but it was just perfect and I had all the space I needed. Outstanding!
No staff / reception available during the mornings to assist with information or taxis

Great location and great view. The room is small, but I was amazed by the efficient design of the room. It is a very small room, but it was designed for convenience, which impressed me a lot. The architects or interior designers need to study the design of the guest rooms in this hotel.
The ground floor is a Pub & restaurant, so it was not that quiet until the pub closed. The soundproof window door helped but I could not open the window due to the noise. And I wish they could offer breakfast.

Extremely central with amazing views of Chapel Bridge
A little pricey for basic pub accommodation, but Lucerne is expensive, but the location means I would stay here again happily.

The view onto the river and beyond was exceptional. The hotel and the room was a bit dated, but it was spacious and comfortable.

Iconic location, close to the major attractions. Walking distance to the station. Views of Chapel Bridge and Mt Pilatus. Very clean and beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in!
Was a bit hard to navigate to the room at first as there are multiple doorways but easy once you get your bearings.

Modern, exceptionally clean, quiet, great shower, good beer and food
Very handy to the railway station and the old town. A great location with a great view of the river and the old bridge.

The hotel is inside a very lovely Irish pub at the very center of Luzern. Its position is perfect and my room had a fantastic scenic view. The room was fairly spacious, with a kettle, a large TV, a safe, a big bathroom with a comfortable shower and a little balcony. The bed was a classic single bed. It was realtively silent even if it's located on a very busy street; the room was checked every day and it was all very clean. You have your freedom to go in and out without entering the pub and the staff was polite and ready to answer your questions. They store your luggage and give you a tour of the premise which was very appreaciated! The pub itself is very good with nice options for food and drinks. It was a great place to be!
Some people might find it strange to be in a hotel without a proper reception area, but it's not really a problem. The place can be crowded, especially during meal-time, so if you need attention you might have to wait a bit.
The pillows were a bit too soft for my tastes and the shower drain wasn't working properly, but they are just very minor inconveniances.

Very small but that’s okay

Location is very good. In the city center close to every point of interest. Accommodation is good for the price paid.
In 2 morning, I have been waked up at 6.30, by a truck that have parked for almost 20 minutes with the engine fridge started. The engine was creating a lot of noise for this time of the day.

Breakfast not available until 11:30am but expected because it's a pub..

Location, view, room size for the area and staff
It wasn’t clear how to check-in / store luggage which caused delay. It took us some time to find someone to assist us.

Nice view, the room was large, had a refrigerator, and beds were comfortable.
The room had a lot of street noise with outdoor restaurants an bars below. It was very hot when we arrived and we needed to keep the windows open for ventilation. People could see into our room from the street on the first floor. Also, they need to provide larger fans (preferably an adjustable celling fan) for the hot season. The room does not have AC and no cross ventilation.

I liked everything

We loved this place so much! Great location, great atmosphere, spacious rooms, and incredible views! The food is also very delicious here. Don’t miss out on the homemade fish and chips.
It does get a bit noisy at night, however we were also aware that we booked a hotel with a bar at the bottom, so it didn’t bother us.
10.0 / 10.0
The staff's service goes above and beyond expectations. You usually expect this kind of treatment at a 5-star hotel.
Pickwick might not have five stars, but the team definitely deserves top marks.
If I could give them double the score, I absolutely would!
My number of stars: **********
We were given the best room with a spacious balcony just above the pub, where we could take in the view of the tower and people-watch as everyone passed by beneath us.
The only thing that could have made the experience perfect would be air conditioning or a mosquito net – but I survived just fine without it.

Great location, spacious room and comfortable beds!
No AC, but we knew that when we booked- it was just an exceptionally hot few days!
7.0 / 10.0
Decent place for a short stay - conveniently located near the station station and right in front of Chapel Bridge, so quite central which is nice.
Fairly simple room with little expectations. Being right in front of Chapel Bridge may also be a downside - it's packed with tourists and always busy so it doesn't feel like there's much privacy - I never opened the windows as others could see inside! This hotel is also quite literally on top of a pub, which may or may not be your preference. Not the most family friendly place to stay but decent for a short stay, solo travellers, or couples who don't mind a little rough.
8.0 / 10.0
Location was perfect, room had the best view
Staff in the pub/check in were not too friendly, felt like an inconvenience that we stayed there, both when we rocked up and the handful of times we ate and drank at the pub
