The only down side for my western perspective was the size of the bathroom but I adjusted.

Basic accommodation but you get what you pay for. In that sense, it's great value for money. Host is very helpful too.
A bit out of the way from the main part of town perhaps. Can also be very noisy.

I liked the location, and I liked the reception guy he was very nice
Hot water in the shower is delayed, soap is not available. Only small snag, the bathroom fan makes a lot of noise, and it's quite noisy upstairs as well. I think there is a soap on this floor

Location, overall for short stay - it's more than enough. Great view, warm room, friendly staff.
Blankets look like from 80s, dirty & full of previous guests hair, etc. would recommend to burnt it & get something washable. Room a bit dusty, furniture 'greasy'.

Location. Available public parking - additional price.
Smell in the room. Low temperature. Dirty room and bathroom. Uncomfortable beds,
At 4-5 am noises from the street made by garbage trucks and cars.

Great location! It’s across the street from the local market & close to La Lonja.
There was too much noise outside the hostal. The walls are very thin, so you can hear everything. I do not recommend if you want to rest!

I looooved the location and affordability (50€/night). The small things like a light switch in between the beds was a useful feature after barely having energy to get up after a long day of walking. Sliding door closet with enough hangers, daily room cleaning if you wish to.... But nothing beats the view from our room. It gets noisy in the evening if you like to keep the windows open because Spaniards go and return from a night out at odd after midnight hours. However, the window/door is almost noise canceling if fully closed, there's some sort of light protection layer so it's not too sunny inside and dark drapes for even more privacy. WiFi was really fast, just ask about it. There's a TV but nothing to watch in English (not the hostel's fault, it's just a Spanish thing to synchronize every possible tv show). The hostel is a 10 minute walk from the train station (Estació del Nord) and the metro station (lines 3 and 5, Xàtiva stop) that takes you from and to the airport. The market is across the street, the Old City to the left and the more modern to the right. Get familiar with the city beforehand. My general recommendation is to make an itinerary for each day so as to not get overwhelmed because there's so much to see.
I just stayed there, in the middle of October and it was overall fantastic. Huge thank you to Rafael, who was sooooo kind to us, in communication both before and during our stay.
This could be the case with all hostales (I haven't been to any other in Spain) but it was kind of unnecessary yet understandable because of the busy location to have to ring in each time you enter the building. Again, this is not a bad thing, just something I wasn't used to.

Location very good. Friendly staff.
Rather noisy at times due to location & us having windows open.

The sheets were stained, the shower curtain was dirty and the mattresses were uncomfortable. In addition, the window overlooked a noisy street and we could hardly sleep. I would not recommend the experience.

Good location, helpful staff, cleaning every day.
Noise from the street, especially rubbish collection was bad on the 1st floor. It would be nice to have a shelf in the bathroom.

I’ve got a room without a single window, even though I booked the room with the view on city. moreover, the room had a big hole in the wall where you could hear the water pipes and flushed water all the time. I haven’t slept all night. booked two nights but after one I left as it was impossible to stay there. personnel knew about everything but did nothing :) DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!
