5 night stay in Valencia

Lovely Superior room with Balcony in the old historic center of Valencia very near to good restaurants and shops and only a 3 minute walk to the Central Market.The establishment operates a self check system so never met the owners but the check in instructions were accurate and precise.

Nothing really other than perhaps an in room coffee/tea making would have been useful for an early cuppa rather than having to get dressed to go out and get one from a local coffee shop

I wouldn’t stay here it’s not worth the money the location is great but that’s all.

The location is very good.

We were given the wrong room and had to change. We were on the 4th floor and the lift didn’t work leading to walking up 12 flights of stairs. The breakfast was not good. Just basic granola and bread. Our room wasn’t cleaned on the second night and the place could do with a very good clean in general.

We weren’t given the balcony we paid extra for, and very dark room. But in an amazing location

Great location, very near the main central market

When we checked in there were two other couples checking in at the same time as us, we all had issues with the check in machine and we also all had issues with the rooms we were given. Felt bad for the one member of staff who was there, I think she was a cleaner and kept having to ring management for us all. We paid extra for a superior double with a balcony and we were not given a balcony - it had doors that opened to bars with chairs leaning on them that there was not room to open them or sit on them. We called to check and were told that was the class of room we paid for, even though the website specifies a balcony. The room was also very dark, there was no overhead lighting at all, just a light around the mirror at the table on one of the walls. Also one of the sockets in the room did not work.

Nice location. Loud, randy couple next door

So I've stayed here two different times. What it has going for it is that it's a great location in the old city that is near the market. The air conditioning was strong, which matters because it can get hot in the summer, although the cleaning staff came in after one day and changed something and I was never able to get the air conditioning back to where it was before.

If you come by taxi, usually they can only get so close to the hotel and then point you in the direction. There is a self check-in. The actual staff is in another building that is over by the cathedral about a 5-minute walk away. Both times that I've stayed here the self check-in didn't work and I had to then leave and go to the other building to check-in. The very randy couple next door apparently didn't get a chance to see much of the city and really didn't care who could hear them. There's no staff around, so who do you raise these issues to?

Fabulous setting to waken to and relax in at end of day’s exploration.

The terrace & view from the room. The personal welcome ( for info on València ) although only due to power cut were Thomas and Abdi there.

No info re breakfast - only noticed by chance after 3 days! No info re escape in event of fire! No coffee/tea making in room, not sure how to source an iron/ironing board.

Great location, in the middle of everything. Value was fantastic! Bike rental around the corner, marked 200m away. Room was perfect size, small but big enough. Clean and nice in most ways.

The pillow was like a brick, but came home to late ask for a softer one. Ask for one at arrival.

We arrived late at night The person on the only reception open in another hotel said we were not booked in he then gaves us a room He did not explain how to get to our hotel The next day we were told we were in the wronge room then told we had to stay in our room as there were booked out Then 2 days before we were meant to leave the room access card was wiped we had to go to reception in the other hotel We were met by the same person that we booked in with he was on the phone and did not stop talking to us just gaves us the card not even sorry Overall a very poor experience

The receptionist weren't very helpful. The bed duvet was dirty and they had no spare, so provided a thin sheet instead. The thermostat didn't work so the room was cold. The lighting was awful and badly positioned. The boiler broke on the last day so there was no hot water, and as this impacted on our check out time, we were then rushed to get out of the room!

Not worth it

We liked that it was close to the center.

It’s way smaller than shown on the pictures. They didn’t have little shampoo bottles available and the beds are two twin beds that slide apart when you lay on them so you basically are in a hole when you lay in the middle. The walls are so thin that you hear people next door when they use the bathroom or just have normal conversations. They advertise a hot tub on the roof but it was empty and the rooftop was locked most of the time. It’s doable but not great.

we loved the location, very central. staff was all very friendly , and there was hot water and air conditioning so that was good.

1) room looked nothing like the photos, no nice blankets or rugs or curtains, not even window shade. 2) doors are really loud and walls are super thin so you can hear everything 3) in the room next to us there was a woman who had her window open with all her lights on, and since our toom(superior) didn’t have a window shade, the light came in and lit up our whole room from 2.30 til 5am , also she was smoking which made our whole room stink up, luckily she left the next day.

Dissapointed

Location

I paid for breakfast when booked but I couldn’t eat it: tiny croissants not fresh, juice from concentrate, no cook on site. The same person at the front desk is the one who prepare your scrambled eggs. I paid 15 euros for the two of us, but ended up eating breakfast in a near by cafe. The hotel refused to refund the money.

The location of the hotel was very close to the main attraction of the old city

We were expecting a different bathroom that was shown when we were booking the room, the bathroom was smelling badly when we first arrived, the air conditioning could not be changed as per direction of air and it was pointing directly on the bed when we were sleeping.
