Living Valencia Apartments - Merced

Fantastic location and Precious the staff member couldn’t have been more helpful. Great directions from all approaching roads.

I think I was just a little unlucky. I picked up the wrong keys . It would be so helpful to have names, not numbers on the envelopes. I wasn’t alone in thinking this. My kettle blew up, not a biggy and was replaced the following day. However, our air conditioning did not work. It was 32c and my Mother is elderly and we needed a/c. Again Precious was helpful and gave us 2 fans but it wasn’t the same. You have to go up 10 steps with a hand rail one side, then another to get to the lift.

Confortable clean centrally located with easy access and close to everything.

Only problem was the drainage of the bathroom sink was slow. Everything else was perfect.

Location excellent for the old town. Having parking available is a big plus.

The process for parking and collecting keys was horrendous. The area is restricted for vehicles, one way and there are cameras. To collect the keys you end up parking illegally. We were not told that there was a separate car park fob to collect. The address for the car park was incorrect it said no2 which was actually on the opposite side of the road to the hotel car park (which is where it was). All of the instructions (and there were a lot) were sent to us less than an hour before we arrived. As I was driving I didn’t have time to review this information fully. However , the owner was very helpful and allowed us to stay longer (in the car park) the next day. We had the same problem returning the car park fob… I had to exit the car park, whilst my wife ran back with the fob. However, with trucks behind me on a narrow one way street, I had to leave and drive into a busy city I didn’t know in the hope of meeting somewhere to pick her up. At other properties (eg Madrid) the host met us and directed us to the parking.

Great location. Spacious, quiet, and bed was comfortable.

In need of refurbishment. Mostly cheap quality and no “extras” to make life easier for visitors. Very much run as a corporate business to minimise expenses.
