Cozy apartment near the center, Torres de Serrano

Location is excellent, being walkable to key attractions in the centre, while being in a residential area (i.e. peaceful of an evening with no noise issues). You're also near to great restaurants and good-sized supermarkets. The apartment was clean on arrival, with spotless main surfaces, and the key collection was straightforward despite us arriving very late. The WiFi was excellent, being fast and reliable throughout our stay. We slept well overall, although the mattress slopes slightly towards the middle, aided by good ventilation through the property using either the windows (with shutters and exterior security grill) or the very effective and quiet air conditioners. A washing machine and tumble dryer were also useful touches, helping us to be able to travel light.

The property would benefit from some maintenance and updates. Some fixtures and fittings, including the sink, feel rather tired. Lighting was slightly frustrating: the kitchen light flickered, a living-room bulb was out, colour temperatures varied between bulbs in the living, and the bedroom lighting was quite dim. (For the bedroom and the living room, this is mitigated by large windows. With the shutters open, a lot of light is let into the rooms.) The lighting is low-hanging fruit and improving it would significantly improve the perception of the property's value. Lastly, and I realise this may be more of a Valencia issue than something specific to this apartment, but there was a noticeable smell of waste pipes at times (I think coming from the interior courtyard, but can't be certain; in any case, you need to leave the window to that courtyard open in order to vent steam from the bathroom).

The one bedroom ground floor apartment is in a central location, useful for exploring Valencia. Local amenities nearby. It is spacious well equipped. Good shower and bathroom.

Lack of natural light as it is on the ground floor, delayed communication through Booking app about arrival time that caused some miscommunication, this was easily resolved.

Forte odore di fognature (lo scarico non andava neanche bene) Inquilino del piano superiore molto rumoroso Abbastanza fredda come casa (per fortuna con la pompa di calore accesa si stava meglio)
