Terrible experience

Nothing at all

⭐️ 1/5 – Absolutely unacceptable and unsafe experience We arrived at the hotel at around midnight, only to find ourselves locked out in a foreign country, in freezing cold weather, with no staff, no keys, no instructions, and no way to enter. No one answered the phone. No message was sent. No emergency contact was provided. We were literally left outside at night with nowhere to go. The hotel now claims that check-in is only until 11:00 PM and that we “arrived late.” Even if that is written somewhere, leaving paying guests stranded outside with zero assistance is completely unacceptable and unsafe. A responsible hotel would provide clear instructions, a key box, after-hours access, or at the very least answer the phone. Because of their negligence, we were forced to find and pay for another hotel in the middle of the night. Despite this, they refuse to issue any refund or take responsibility. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I strongly warn future guests: do not stay here if there is any chance you might arrive late. You may find yourself abandoned outside with no help.

Very bad experience

I highly reccomand to anyone to avoid this hotel. The room is outdated and with old furniture and even a simple hairdryer is missing in the room. The staff is very rude and unpolite. They denied to serve breakfast because I arrived at 10 06 hours (I had busy morning in my company) . Breakfast us served from 7 to 10. They even didn’t allowed me to finish my job at the reception area after 11 o’clock and they asked me to leave the hotel after 11 so I finished it in the nearby caffe bar. The only advantage of this hotel is a good position in the center if Zurich.

A modern form of a 19 18'th century Inn but with hot water and a comfy bed.

Fine place to stay and you can't beat the location.

Very clean rooms and super quiet. They did have AC in the room and the windows were excellent. Very little to no outside noise. Very unusual for a city center hotel in Europe. Perfect location - step outside and you are in the heart of old town Zurich.

Everything was fine. They did have a back entrance that they wanted guests to use so that they wouldn't be coming/going through the steakhouse which is on the main floor. Not a big deal really. The breakfast wasn't huge but enough to fill us up, but they did make as many specialty coffees as you wanted.

The location was excellent. We were in the main hub. The vibe was good. The room was good with comfortable bed.

There was no luggage stand. We had to keep our bags on the floor. The lamps on the stand were not working, and we had to struggle as the room would get dark. Simple facilities were missing. The staff needs to be more proactive and involved.

Excellent hotel in perfect location for Zurich old town

Location is perfect for Zürich’s old town. The rooms of the hotel are above a steakhouse, that is fine. Staff are friendly & helpful. Breakfast is a basic but very good continental with everything I wanted. Walking distance with a suitcase to Zurich’s main railway station. No complaints at all.

OK but not a "superior" room

Kettle, tea, one bottle of water Clean room Room on a corner, windows overlooking the streets of the old town. Excellent location in the heart of the old town. Steak restaurant downstairs. Friendly staff.

"Superior Queen" room but it was a small room, just enough space. Difficult to see why it was "superior", but perhaps the other rooms are tiny? No power by the bed (had to charge the phones on the desk). There was a power strip just hanging. When we flushed the toilet, it kept flushing because the flush button was stuck. We had to press it again to correct it. No safe in the room The breakfast was basic, no pastries, very little choice.

The hotel old town was clean and in a nice location, but rather cramped and expensive.

The hotel was clean and in a good location. It was very nice being in the old section of town.

It was rather noisy at night. There was a café down below the windows, which had people out drinking and smoking. The rooms were very small, which isn’t unusual for an old section of town. Although I know Zürich is expensive, I thought the hotel room was quite pricey for what it was.

Location in the heart of the Old Town area presented lots of dining options in addition to the steak restaurant on the ground and first floor. Staff was helpful and most spoke English well, but curiously, not necessarily German. Good breakfast.
