Fourvière Hôtel

The hotel was beautiful and in a stunning location, right next to the funicular. The pool was stunning, food in the restaurant was amazing and catered well for me (gluten free) and the spa facilities were a big hit. We loved the member of staff who showed us up to our room (sorry I can't remember his name!) he was telling us all about the history of the building. The rooms based on influential people from Lyon were also really cool and interesting. Really helpful staff throughout.

The pigeons trying to steal your breakfast on the patio!! But that's not the hotel's fault at all and can't be helped.

Lovely room, great a/c, nice bathroom, swimming pool was good, decor lovely.

Not the hotel's fault, but a power cut meant the lifts were out of action and were not back working when we left so we had to take luggage down the stairs. But it was only a minor inconvenience. Breakfast seemed very expensive s we didn't have it.

nice historic building

great historic building. the service and room doesnt live up to the price. had 8 pieces of luggage (passign through) and didnt want to leave them in the car overnight as not secure car park. when i asked for the trolly for the luggage no one offered to help at check in or check out with the luggage. they all watched me do it by myself. 3 people at reception at check out. was with a dog. so paid EUR 25 per night dog fee. which is fine. room didnt get cleaned despite me asking for it, was rainign a lot and the dog made the sheets a bit diry, really would have appreciated fresh sheets for he dog fee...
