Good value for money, got checked in early which was helpful.
Nothing really - the room was small but enough for two people.
2.0 / 10.0
Just that it’s close to central - only 20/30 mins walk from the castle and city centre
1) Cleaning service was so poor that they didn’t even change the bed sheets and towels.
2) Room AC doesn’t work at all - the remote can’t change the temperature or even turn it off and on.
3) The water tap was making bad noises for hot water
4) Didn’t provide any complimentary water whatsoever

Location and cleanliness, friendly staff
Not much of a view, constant drowning noise from outside, and no kettle in rooms, having to go down stairs 6 levels for a bru.

Very warm and comfortable room. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Definitely would recommend.
Tv is a smart tv but only has a handful of channels but it has screen share so you can connect you devices to it

Breakfast was next door in the pub but it was well stocked with plenty of choice. Good value for money.
The glass door for the bathroom, if you needed to use the bathroom during the night the light was very bright.

the location of the hotel was ideal. closest bus, tram and train stop. it is literally across the Haymarket station.
the room was quite small. just for perspective, there was no room to keep luggage. if i had a travel partner, there would have no room for movement

Easy check in, nice staff, great restaurant attached, really good location close to the train station, an easy walk into the city centre or a 5 minute tram ride.
The room, bed, bathroom were tiny. Facilities lacked a little, no fridge.

We liked the room and the staff.
No kettle in the room for tea or coffee, a little bit inconvenient having to come down to the reception every time we want a cup of tea.

Room was clean and comfortable
Room was too dark as it was windowless, it was either too bright or completely dark, could do with a softer or dimable light for sleeping,

It is a cheap accomodation compared to others in Edinburgh. It is located close to The centre and It’s easy to get to/from The AirPort. The staff was nice.
On The first night, The bathroom smelled really bad so we asked for another room but got downgraded into a very tiny room with basically no window. Then we got The room we asked for on The second night. The beds are pretty small and very uncomfortable, you get one blanket on a double bed, It’s heavy and The pillows are uncomfortable, too. You cannot set The temperature and we were there in a storm so it was very cold in the room. The cleaning lefts things to be desired as well.

Staff were friendly enough
Grossly over priced for what it was

Nothing
- Ridiculously small room (barely can open our luggage), especially for the price
- Cleanliness of the room
- Breakfast really basic with very limited options. It couldn’t be served during 1 day of our stay (and staff explaining the issue didn’t seem bothered about it)
- Fire Alarm randomly ringing during the night. Reception did not even pick up or call back when the alarm stopped to make sure that everything was under control
- Thin wall so you can hear all people around (including people moving closing doors inside their room, moving luggage or furniture, bathroom usage of neighbouring rooms, people speaking in the corridors)
- Noisy AC that does not work properly (set at 20, the room temperature remained at 25 for the entire stay)
- requested the room the be cleaned at 10 am before leaving the hotel for the day, was not done
- Strong smell from the bathroom
- Bedside plugs not working
- Only one lift working out of 2 (didn’t see anyone working to fix the second one during our entire stay) meaning that it takes ages to go up or down if you are on the upper floors. Plus the lift does not seem very reliable (almost got stuck between floors 1 and 2)
- Location ok, although a bit remote from main tourist attractions (20 min walking)
- WiFi no strong

I've never seen so small hotel room before...
The next day, after my request, they've changed my room with a bit bigger , but not so big for the money.

Nothing is good about this hotel.
The staff were pleasant and the lobby is quite nice. But as a place to stay it is terrible.
Lack of maintenance in the room - lights out, tv not working, hooks missing in bathroom, toilet roll holder missing, WiFi not working, door didn’t close properly (and was open on arrival!). Also the lift was broke and the back door out to the rear of the building was always open.
There are not enough plugs in the room and no space to put anything.
Absolutely one to avoid.

Staff were super helpful and friendly. Gave us a free upgrade to a window room as they had plenty available.
The room size exceeded my expectations.
Good location.
The window didn't close properly and we got wafts of cigarette smoke coming in from outside.
Pillows not very comfortable

Price compared to other hotels was reasonable as it was the Edinburgh Fringe time.
The room was tiny and the bed very small and uncomfortable.

Small rooms with no window, which wasnt really what i was expecting

Cozy
Bathroom was rather smelly it smelt of drains.

The bacon, sausage, eggs and tomatoes were good but the mushrooms were very dry. The pain de raisin were too soft. The croissants were good.
The air conditioning was leaking and the drips caused a flood on the floor. We moved rooms but there was mould under the window. Very concerned that a member of staff told us the stairs were unusable because they were blocked and one lift was out of order. This caused great anxiety in the case of fire needing evacuation.

Comfortable, clean. The staff couldn't do enough to help us. Lovely, friendly staff.
15 min walk into the city. Very near to the tram stop, ideal for getting to and from the airport
No teamaking facilities. Had to pay for a cuppa which when you have spent over 500 pounds for 2 nights is a bit naughty.

• Good location, by a train and tram station/stop
• Nice view
• Staff were friendly
• Bed was comfortable
• Room was small
• No Netflix or YouTube
• Air con wasn’t working it said (setup) / thankfully we had a window
• Plug wasn’t working beside my bed ( room 711)
• No hand soap ( should’ve asked but it should be checked by staff)
• A bit noisy, doors would slam really loud
• 1 lift was working that could fit 2 people it was tiny, and scary it would make weird noises and shake before doors open, had to walk down the stairs, got there before people that were taking the lift from the 7th floor
• shower pressure not the best but ok

Rooms were modern.
Only one lift was working. Staff were cramming into the lift with their trolleys. We didn’t receive a warm welcome at reception, very little interaction. Parking on booking.com is very deceiving, roughly only 10 spaces and there was no parking nearby that was available. Ended up having to park at Greenside Row, rush back to the hotel to then rush back out to where we needed to be for 4pm.

Lovely comfortable room, great view, fantastic location, huge telly! Staff were incredibly lovely and love that you can buy drinks etc. at reception.
Having extra facilities like fridge, tea, coffee in room would help with making it more value for money. Very expensive for a very basic room. Need to check bottles in bathroom as shower gel and another were empty. Called to change name on booking weeks in advance but this hadn't been done properly on the system which caused confusion
8.0 / 10.0
The room was exceptionally small - and there were nt may facilities in the hotel itself but the staff were excellent, as was the location.
Teeny tiny room and quite expensive. A few stairs in the lobby for a heavy bag, some help would have been appreciated.

Friendly staff who helped with issues caused by the management.
1. Misinformation on the Booking.com profile. The hotel claimed it wasn't necessary to book parking. This was incorrect. You need to reserve through a third-party app but no details about this are provided by the hotel. So upon arrival, I needed to find another car park nearby and pay the extra costs for taxis there and back. Since I complained, the hotel has updated its Booking.com profile to say you DO need to register parking before arriving.
2. The room was tiny. I've lived in Hong Kong for years and some hotels there have tiny rooms but this was even smaller.
3. The air con didn't work and since there was no window in the room, it was very warm throughout the night. I initially asked for an upgrade once I realised the room was windowless and cost £200. I was refused, with the management saying I needed to contact Booking.com. However, when I complained about the air con not working, I was offered another room. Did they clear it with Booking.com first? Since it was about 10am, all our bags were unpacked and I was trying to do some work, I refused the extra room. There was no point since we were leaving early the next day.
4. The wheels on the bed were broken, so it moved frequently.
5. A door near the lift kept banging all night and the vibrations moved the bed.
I don't mind paying £200 for a hotel room, but there were so many issues that should not have occurred in a well-managed hotel. I complained on the Booking.com app messaging but nobody responded. Also, nobody apologised for the car park issue, other than the front desk staff who acknowledged the problem and agreed it was ridiculous that the profile lied. I will not stay at an IHG hotel again.

Comfy bed
Advertised as Private Parking which is why I booked. There is very limited private parking and If you pre book. The staff recommended nearby (2 Mile away) parking at £50 a night for us. We ended up finding our own at £30 a day.
Only one lift worked for over 150 rooms
The cosy room was very small and the bathroom wasn’t very private
I expected to pay more for a center hotel but it was still overpriced for what it was.
The bar was shut before 11
