1st chap on reception didnt seem to understand English very well at all. Hotel has a cheap feel to it. Room felt a bit like a hostel, cheap wood floor.

The booking in went well

My room had zero heating. It was frosty and the temperature outside was minus 2 degrees. The sash window would not close properly and by the time I left I was literally frozen !

The hotel is not suitable for non-smokers.

I didn't like anything about the room. The corridor carpet was greasy and unclean. The corridor and the room smelled of cigarettes, and I found it hard to breathe. During the few minutes I spent in the hotel, I nearly caught a cold. As a result, I checked out and moved to another location.

Great stay, slept amazing!

Room were located out the back in separate building so you could hear pub noise. Couldn’t hear any noise outside or neighbours! Got free coffee, tea and milk. Shower was great, and property was nice a warm all day and night!

Empty and cold. Spend a bit more for somewhere better

The towels, beds and rooms were clean. The shower had good temperature and power. A fridge and microwave was available.

The thermostat for the bathroom was broken and the thermostat could not be changed for the main room. The room I was in is constantly disturbed due to thin windows and doors by the traffic of a main road and noisy people also staying at the hotel. The room felt empty, with one teaspoon, one very small desk and one uncomfortable wooden chair all underneath the TV. On the first night, a glass bottle I'd put into the fridge fell out of the door due to the low shelving and smashed, spilling across the solid flat floor along with a mixture of glass shards. I did what I could to mop it up but without any equipment it was difficult and there were sharps that could not be disposed of. I reported this first thing in the morning to a staff member and when returning later that evening, nothing had been done about it. This was the most upsetting part of my stay.

Pub with quite a few rooms. Shops just over the road and Pub has Sky TV so able to watch the Football. Good size car park as well. (Free).

The reception staff on checkin couldn't have been more help than he did. Was shown a room layout was to small for my wife offered another which suited my wife needs. Music from the bar could be heard be we didn't mind. No breakfast or food facilities. Microwave in room. No plates or cutlerys for using it.

I booked for accessible and was given the furthest room with stairs, the room was freezing and had a noisy fridge with microwave on top? General cleanliness was lacking and toilet facilities were tiny. Staff were rude and when accessibility was discussed I was told to use the fire exit stairs that were wet… not getting the point I can’t do stairs.

Upon arrival i was sent to another hotel 2 miles away with no parking for my van i was then sent another mile away to park my van . No heating in room noisy fridge scabby rooms wish id have booked a travelodge but it looked nice on the photos

You get what you pay for

Staff were friendly, rooms were reasonable for the price. Situated reasonably near the centre.

Hotel was a little bit dated, but you pay for what you get. Need proper pillows as the 2 given were wafer thin. For some reason the fire escape doors were open with people coming in and out when it was supposed to be a secure area to the hotel rooms. This worried my son, so we had to leave as he couldn't sleep. (He's autistic so not completely the hotels fault).

You pay for what you get, and you don't pay much for this place.

The first room I was allocated had builders in the room litterally building a bed when I arrived at the agreed check in time and well past the standard checkin time. The second room I was allocated had the stairwell blocked and the fire exit blocked by a large black bag of rubbish. The top of the stairs was blocked by a black bag full of glass bottles, and the corridor was blocked by the cleaners' equipment. In the event of a fire, I would have died. The room: The electrical socket between the beds was not screwed to the wall, the vertical pole holding the shower head was not attached at the top, and the thermostatic limiter on the shower was broken off. I also found a sock in my bed; it was not my sock.

Bloody noises all night migrants participating in load conversations laughing and joking, 3.30 hotel staff emptied beer bottles in to skip so why pay anything if you aren’t given peace and quiet ???????

Location was 2 minutes from my work and had car parking

Tiny, dirty and smelly room (room 9). Terrible service from the rude member of staff behind the bar who was more interested in the large amount of gambling going on in the bar area. I left after one night and found alternative accommodation

DIRTY ROOM AND MANAGER WAS SHOCKINGLY RUDE , WORST HOTEL STAY

I am very disappointed about my stay. The hotel room was small, dirty and extremely overpriced for what you get. The manager shocked me with the way he spoke he was extremely rude and who talks down on guests. Tried to tell me how lucky I was that the room was under 100£. He also said it was my fault that the price I was charged for another night was less in his opinion and I told him I paid the price I was told another night would be. There is also someone staying there who screams, bangs door and swears at everyone. I asked the manager and he told me it was somebody put in there by the council. The next day he told my friend that was a lie and he doesn’t know about any person banging door, screaming and swearing.

Comfortable stay, exceeded expectations - excellent value.

I had a welcome check in and registered my car for free parking. My scores are based on 'value for money'. I could have paid a lot more for a Saturday night hotel room but didn't need any frills. I needed safe (single female), clean and comfortable and I got all of that at a very fair price. Nice hot shower, good telly, fridge and microwave. Great value. I recommend and will return to stay if I'm in the area.

For the £ paid, it would be churlish to dislike anything!
