Careless attitude of staff, wasnt bothered when reporting cochroach like bugs in the room. It was located on a corner of a rough area main road.

Very good for the price , I turned up an hour and a half before the check in time and they let me have the room for no extra charge . This particular room the bathroom was average but stayed before and the other room and an epic bathroom so 8.5 out of 10 from me . Definitely use this place again

Room 19 - unnecessary large fridge and microwave took up a large percentage of the floor space, meaning desk was pushed into a corner and completely inaccessible and unusable. Tea/ coffee facilities + kettle not near a plug, so had to take to other side of room. Clothes rail blocked by desk. Window mouldy. Bathroom was reasonable, very clean, no surface space for washkit however, and nowhere in shower to hold gels/ cremes.

Upon check in, I was assigned a room that hadn’t been cleaned since the previous guest. Staff were swift to reassign me a room without any trouble, but this room was also quite dirty: the floor was so grimy I had to brush my feet before getting into bed. It smelt stale too. Everything else was just “fine”. No hand or floor towels. The walls were paper thin so I could hear other people’s TVs. Overall, a cheap place to stay but I would definitely rather spend an extra tenner and stay somewhere much more pleasant.

Tiny room, no fan available to keep cool. Noisy residents outside in middle of the night and early morning Basic and expensive for what it was. Would never recommend.

The room itself was ok bed floors and bathroom was clean. Walls were marked and furniture was cheap. Hotel door didnt feel secure handle was loose. The hallways were dirty and lots of rubbish. The outside fire exit stairs has people hanging around talking and smoking all night. The biggest issue was the heat - appreciate the weather was warm but the rooms were a lot warmer than outside so it was terribly uncomfortable and not possible to sleep with windows open (with people hanging around outside). The only reason i havent given it a worse score is that its half the price of premier inn so i expected to get what i paid for really and i survived the 1 night.

Room 15 was rather cramped.. with the windows overlooking a courtyard. Until around midnight there was a group of loud men yelling and banging around.. the room stank of weed because of what they smoking outside.. Door into the bar is below this room.. it was slamming all night. At 08:00 a builder appeared on the ledge by the window which the bed is pushed right against.. i was laying on the bed in nothing but my pants and had to immediately shut the window.

stayed several times before on this visit the tv was broken and on advising recption we were asked what we were going to do ? Reversing that question and putting it straight back to hotel staff then eventually the room was changed. gave a stale taste if honest as was uncomfortable

The room was small but clean, comfortable and came with a kettle, fridge and microwave as well as a tv. En-suite shower and toilet. Clearly designed for people staying away for work in the week. There is nothing fancy or pretentious here. This former 1930's built pub does what it says on the tin. We needed an emergency overnight with two small dogs in tow! Did the job, staff were helpful (there is a small charge per dog). Would stay here again.

Tiny room, looked like it needed a lot of redecorating. (Scuff marks on walls, windowsill paint flaking off, shower smelt of damp, old TV antenna hanging loose from behind wall-mounted TV, other end of old antenna was masking taped to socket as connector broke, TV barely had bed reception for the basic 15 channel free view it had) Bed had 3 old, flat pillows. when asked for more/replacement pillows was told that as the hotel was full the owner couldn’t get any more for us, despite it looking as if someone had done exactly that to ours! Building had narrow claustrophobic stairways, all flooring looked like laminate in hallways, so very noisy. Left before staying first night, will not be returning.

Simple and basic hotel but got everything you need, I arrived late on the night of check in and it was quiet and easy to get checked in. Close to City Centre and also Adams Park which is where I needed to be the next day for a 12:30 KO so the 10:30 check out time was ideal as I had my car with me anyway.

We and the couple that arrived immediately after us were sent to an alternative hotel on A40. No apologies and from the size of the alternative hotel cards at reception it is evident that this is a regular occurrence. There was no apology or explanation from the hotel staff. Buckingham hotel was still under construction. You couldn't get in and out of the car park without someone running to reception to ask to lift the barrier as there is no intercom. Room was very dusty, bed extremely uncomfortable and there was previous guests' dirt left in the bathroom sink.

Plenty of parking, some parts of which were very muddy. Room very clean. No curtains only Venetian blinds which let the light in, which included the bright neon sign outside! No lock on inside of door, someone entered my room at 2am and didn't say anything but it obviously woke me up and they just left. Rang the number off the email I had and was told (after they looked at cctv) it was a member of staff but couldn't offer an explanation as to why they entered my room. Very odd and unnerving. A comfy chair to sit on would be nice.
