We loved the remoteness - just tucked in the forest, whilst still a pleasant 20 minutes walk from town. We stayed in the middle apartment, which has it's own private patio (with BBQ, fire pit, bench and chairs) out the back. As the back faces north, this meant it never gets direct sunlight. Whilst probably not so desirable in winter, it was perfect during our stay over summer, as it gave us somewhere away from the heat and kept the kids out of direct sunlight.
Not the fault of the owner, but you get a few flies buzzing around that always come back after every attempted swat! Take deet, it works. Better yet, take Mr Miyagi so he can get them with his chop sticks!
