Lovely hotel close to the center of town.

We arrived early and although reception was closed, we were invited to move into our room.

We arrived early and although reception was closed the friendly staff invited us to move into our room. (just before mid-day) Breakfast was excellent. They also had a coffee machine that made a great strong flat white coffee to kick start the day. We were also travelling with our Golden Retriever dog so great to find a pet friendly location.

Breakfast was excellent, with a lovely view. A great range of food. Lovely place to stay, close to the town, with a fabulous dawn chorus from the birds in the forest.

The pillows were a bit enormous and soft.

The location was perfect for exploring. Accommodation was perfect for sharing with a family member with his little cat. We were welcomed warmly and looked after very well.

Accomodating cosy hotel in a great surrounding

Arrived too early and checked out too late, but the staff was very helpful and sorted it for me. Nice cosy relaxed hotel with magnificent view overlooking the valley - and not expensive at all.

Okay for a weekend, but not worth the price

I arrived late in the evening and received a code for the entrance. The keys to the room were waiting on the front desk.

The mattress and pillows need to be renewed. The room itself was not exactly super clean and the were some issues with water stains on the walls.

Excellent staff. we checked in at 11pm and we were welcomed with beverages and some snacks for us to settle down. The reply from the messenger at Booking.com app is prompt. Easy and prompt communication which helps a lot especially when you need something suddenly, like booking breakfast for next day.

Bed is too soft, but it seems all European accommodations use soft bed mattresses.

Flexible check in option

We requested for a late night check-in around 10pm. And then on our way of travel , we delayed ourselves and it was midnight check -in around 12.45 am . We informed through phone and they were very flexible and even left us a late night snack along with the keys.

Aparthotel Scharzwald Panorama is a wonderful place to stay with amazing views and a great location. The rooms are big, bright, clean and neat. Good equipped. You can have an excellent breakfast for low cost with delicious coffee and a good variety of food. Werner is a generous and welcoming host!

Extraordinary, Beyond my exception

Typically, I'm not one to discuss my travels, but this particular trip was exceptional. The city itself is simply breathtaking. Nestled in the heart of the black forest, it offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The location of the hotel is also perfectly situated. With easy access to shops and a balcony boasting stunning views of the mountain forests, you can truly unwind and soak in the sunshine. As for the accommodations, the room was immaculately clean and cozy, and the staff's behavior was simply superb. The manager, in particular, was incredibly professional and attentive, ensuring that the quality of your stay remains high throughout. He even went above and beyond by personally driving me to the train station. Lastly, I highly recommend booking the hotel's breakfast option for a satisfying and affordable start to your day.

Lady at reception in morning,

Small shower, no ventillation in the main corridor when going to room, no light on balcony, no vegetarian options in breakfast or non pork. almos not allowed to use kitchen appliances because it was written to clean them after use, it is not included in the booking.

First of all the staff was incredibly nice and polite, the owner spoke very good English and was so nice and helpful. Very keen into keeping his guests comfortable and happy, in the most sincere way. We felt really welcomed there. The apartments are spacious, and beautifully arranged and the kitchen has all the needed equipment and utilities. Everything was very clean and the beds comfortable, beautiful view to the garden and forest from the balcony. Very good breakfast in a nice atmosphere.

The breakfast room could've been a little bigger, but it was not a problem, as the staff would immediately notice if someone is waiting and would prepare a place. They are really flexible and willing to help.

Nice location and very accessible to major tourist spots

The reception is manned only in the mornings. No check in instructions were sent to us. We were stranded outside the hotel and no one responded to our calls. Luckily a co-guest in the hotel opened the door for us.

comfortable apt with great access to the town and its facilities

Friendly hosts apt was spacious, well equipped and very clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable as was the sofa in living area. Apt was well placed for access to walks, funicular railway and town. The lovely town park is a short walk away and well worth a visit, you will even find a spot to dangle your feet in the cold river on a hot day.
