Hotel Porte de France - Self Check In by Homenhancement

Accurate and excellent location public transportation is just 2 minutes of walking than can bring you anywhere

Everything is in order nothing bad according to price

The location of the accommodation is very convenient for sightseeing in both the Swiss and French parts. The price of the accommodation is very affordable. The room is very warm and that's great.

The only thing I can complain about is the cleanliness, it could be a little higher.

Nice decoration.

First day: water issue in the apartment, so I had to move to other apartment. Second day: power cut off so I had to call for help. No one is in the place, so I had to help to solve the issue. During the whole week: the Wi-Fi was extremely slow, even single WhatsApp msg had delays. I reported this issue, but no one contacted me to provide a solution.

- great location right by the border, though not perfect, as getting to the hotel from the airport requires two buses (11 + 604, paid separately) - small kitchenette + microwave + kettle tip 1: best to rent a bike near the Saint Louis station using the Velo Fluo app (6 EUR/14h); it's a 30-minute walk or a ride on bus 604 tip 2: best way to get to Mulhouse is by train from Basel St. Johann station; buy the ticket via the SNCF app for 8.5 EUR

- issues with locking and unlocking the door, there were plenty of negative reviews about this previously. I even helped another person with it twice myself. The instructions on YT are poor and useless; you have to spend hours figuring out how it works, and the app keeps freezing, forcing you to reset it. There is no help available, no one answers the phone or replies on WhatsApp. I’m deducting 5 points immediately for this. - very slow internet (approx. 3 Mbit/s), that’s the kind of speed we had 20 years ago! - there is a stove, but NO pots, so you can't use it at all, a total disaster.
