Despite some issues, I liked the stay mainly because it is very close to the Basel border and has a convenient location.

The location is very convenient — there is parking available, bus stops nearby, and it’s very close to the Basel border. You can also walk to the city center in about 30 minutes, and there’s a restaurant right across the place which is very good.

The hot water in the shower was not consistent.. Also, we received a message saying we had to leave before 10 AM because someone is coming to clean even though Booking.com states that checkout is at 11 AM. I had requested to stay until 11. They asked us to remove the beddings and take out the garbage ourselves, which felt inconvenient.

The location is great. We had breakfast at Envie de Pain – everything was delicious, the coffee was great, and the prices were reasonable.

We have no complaints. We had everything we needed, and the price was very affordable. The organization was excellent. Compliments to the Call Center – we received all the necessary information and instructions on time (address, codes, etc.). We also got quick responses to any additional questions. Well done!

Superb location for visiting Basel

The property is close to the Swiss border in Basel. The tram is just over the other side and when I say the other side, I mean just a walk up the road. The tram takes you straight into Basel. There is a little bar outside and eateries near by. So location is excellent. It is France so they take euros! The shower was superb and the bed really comfy. Checkin was self checking so no need to see a member of staff and instructions were clear!

It was 30 degrees when we went and we only had a fan so was a little warm in the room. Also we would have liked some extra pillows.

Pleasant stay with reasonable price

Close to the tram stop, on the main road. Instructions very clear how to enter. Overall quite clean and quiet. Good value. Dish soap and other amenities provided.

Got very hot in he summer but there are outside shutters that can help to regulate how much heat enters. From the second day the code for walking in stopped working and I didn't get reply about it - Had to use car gates code. Lack of ironing board but iron provided. Towels were a bit smelly.

Decent Stay, But Privacy Concerns & Worn Towels

The apartment had everything I needed for a short stay, but a few issues made it less comfortable. There were no blinds, only sheer curtains, which meant zero privacy—everything was visible from the main street. Also, the towels were old and had an unpleasant smell. If these details don’t bother you, it’s otherwise a functional place to stay.

Cozy and clean room with a well equipped kitchen. Apartment was easy to reach. Very good connection to Basel center (via Bus or tram 5-8min by walk to the stop). The host was kind and gave an accurate description how to reach the apartments.

Worst experience! We lost our money and didnt have a room to stay!

Trust me, the worst experience can someone go through. We lost our money! We warned the property owner that we will arrive late. Probably, they got advantage of this situation to leave the apartment untidy and dirty because they assumed that we will not pay attention since we will be too tired from our trip. The apartment was in unacceptable condition. It's totally unbearable the fact that they haven't even changed the bed sheets!!! It was stained and wrinkled that confesses the fact someone slept there before(photos attached)! We cannot also bear that no one wiped or mopped the floor, that no toilet paper was replaced from the previous visitors and it was smelling really bad. We tried to find a solution and called them to replace them so we can stay there for the night, they replied back that they are sorry and to send pictures and after the pictures they just disappeared!!! We were forced to find a hotel room at 12am, with a cost of 170€ because of the last-minute reservation. Booking.com was informed since the first minute and they propose us to book another hotel and they will request free cancellation to the owner. But the cancellation and the reimbursement never happened by the owner!

Did not feel very welcome

Private parking eventually and close to Swiss border.

Host should understand that when guests arrive after long drive, it is appreciated if they can drop of the car slightly before official check in time, but that was an abrupt NO... the reason being the exodus of leaving guests... nonsense as the are checked out in the morning already. Bed is not very wide. To ask your guests to put your rubbish out and strip the bed before check out, makes it feel like a youth hostel rather than a hotel room.

A perfect a base to visit Basel

My recent stay at the hotel left me with a generally positive impression, with a few minor drawbacks. The room I stayed in was unfortunately quite stuffy, which affected my overall comfort during the stay. Additionally, the bed in the room was smaller than expected, which further impacted the sleep quality. We chose this apartment as a base to visit Basel in Switzerland, and we were totally happy with our choice!

Best value for money in Basel

Wonderful location - 10 min walk from tram 11 stop at the border, 20 min walk from the three-nations bridge and Germany (cheap shopping), two good bakeries, quiet area, fantastic view from the window : but we got Matrè Chocolatie studio, so not sure how it would work with the Paradis Fiscal room. The cleanliness and facilities are top, absolutely everything is there to cook, make breakfast, have tea and coffee (including coffee in filters, dah!) etc. Nothing difficult about switching on the boiler or using the wifi (the internet was great).

A bit hard with all these codes (2 or 3 codes in total?) A bit like a video game. And also a bit too patronizing and strict with rules: you are required to do a bit if cleaning after yourself in the letter you get (in French!), which is of course just human decency, but a bit unexpected from a hotel.

You can hear the bathroom (running water in pipes) from the next apartment, but no other noises from people. The WiFi could be better.

Nice apartment close to Basel

Furniture was in very good conditions, nice and clean bathroom, bed was comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen (oven, microwave, stove, kettle, oil, salt, sugar, etc.). All facilities were fine. Heating working properly.

Fridge froze our food. The church in front of the apartment rang every hour.

Great for visiting Basel

Near the swiss boarder / Busstation which was important for me visiting the carneval in Basel. Very nice appartement and free parking.

The shower provides only barely hot water for 2 people, but for me no problem. Everything else was very good.

Erschwinglicher Urlaub in Basel

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich toll gelegen, wenn man ein paar Tage in Basel verbringen, aber nicht die schweizerischen Preise zahlen möchte. Vom Bahnhof in Saint-Louis läuft man circa 30 Minuten, es fährt aber auch eine Busverbindung durch (mit der man auch nach Basel kommt). Die Küche war zufriedenstellend ausgestattet und das Reinkommen mit den Anweisungen über Booking super einfach. Das Bad war sauber und Handtücher und Bettwäsche wurden gestellt. Der Kontakt auf Booking war sehr freundlich.

Die Wände sind etwas hellhörig und richtige Supermärkte, wie man sie in Deutschland gewöhnt ist, gibt es nicht im direktem Umfeld. Der Wasserkocher hat aus irgendeinem Grund eine riesige Dampfproduktion.

BUENA UBICACIÓN Y SÁBANAS SIN LAVAR

Sin duda, la ubicación es lo mejor del alojamiento. Suiza está cerca a pie o en transporte público. Dispone de un aparcamiento gratuito privado. La comunicación con el propietario es rápida y efectiva.

Cuando llegamos nos encontramos con la ropa de cama, almohadas y toallas sin lavar, con una intensa fragancia a usado. Después de ducharse, al secarse, un nauseabundo olor impregnaba tu cuerpo. Las toallas (1 por persona) piden renovación, están viejas y gastadas. Solicitamos un cambio de ropa a las 21H, lamentablemente tuvimos que dormir la primera noche con esta asquerosidad. Al día siguiente por la mañana las cambiaron, recibimos ropa "limpia". Honestamente no sé que clase de jabón/suavizante se utiliza o donde se seca la ropa, pero el resultado es pésimo. Puedo ser flexible en muchas cuestiones relativas al apartamento pero de ninguna manera puedes hospedar a nadie con ropa usada que huele a sudor y a algo más. Eso es terrible.
