An idyllic place for peace and quiet.

It was perfect for my needs to have some complete quiet time away from busy streets and people. It was surrounded by beautiful gardens, a little lake with koi carp, and lovely flowers and birds. The two staff members were so welcoming and helped with my bags and checking in early, and even offered me a better room, which I declined as it was a bit further away, and I think they were worried as it was a bit basic but it was perfect for my needs. They made me some lovely rice and chicken meals, at a small additional cost which was fine, and lovely fruit and cookies too. Plenty of alkaline water, which I was impressed with as that’s what I always drink! Extra brownie points for that.

It could do with some hangers to hang a few things up, although there are coat hooks of a sort. The bed was rather hard but I’m coming to realise that that’s common in Thailand. There was no-one there when I checked out, which was fine but it would have been nice to say goodbye and thank you. Having looked for total peace and quiet here, there is some palm tree plant down the road doing construction work so all I could hear all night was beep beep beep of lorry’s reversing and a dull hum of work going on, even at 3am, not sure how long that will go on for, and not the venues fault either.

The location was too damp and musty and made things feel uncomfortable. Staff and provisions were great but it's not a place that westerners would readily enjoy.

Rural retreat, would not recommend if you don't have transport.

Good location for the national park, felt very much like a rural stay. Good price.

Owner hard to contact, felt we were an inconvenience. Didn't check in on how your stay was going and charged extra for everything. You cannot realistically walk anywhere from the property at night because of stray dogs. we were chased by them one night when trying to reach a restaurant recommend by the owner. Would not recommend to anyone who doesn't have their own transport.

A Welcome Stopover on the Way to Phuket

There’s plenty of shade from the tree in the heart of Ao Luek, making it a great place to stop by on the way to Phuket. We visited the jungle pool based on the host’s recommendation. Bua and Auntie Tan are very welcoming. We’ll definitely come back again. ❤️

Fantastic Homestay: Forest Vibes, Helpful Staff, and Amazing Tours!

Staying at the Ao Luek homestay was awesome! The place is surrounded by a beautiful forest, creating a cool atmosphere. The staff is fantastic, super helpful with all the tours. I did a Thai cooking class with locals and a kayaking tour - the service was the best ever! Highly recommend this place for a great time.

The owner is very friendly and helpful. She helped us to find a proper bus and arranged a beautiful kayak trip. Highly recommend that place to stay in Thailand. The place is magical!

Very poor

- totally recommended to stay somewhere else but not this place. - holes every where in every parts of the room. So, the people can definitely see you from outside easily. - insects , spiders , and any animals including snakes or rats can just crawl in to your bed anytime - rats running all night and finally got eaten by a huge snake in front of our room. And that was quite an experience. - close to the Palm factory, we could hear the sound all night till morning - They don’t clean the room or even refill the water for you even you requested them to do for you - Consider expensive and not worth for what you’re suppose to pay - Room not clean at all (and they won’t clean for you) - They’re not willing to help you or assist you in anything at all. Not even want to communicate with you.

Junk everywhere. Could be such a nice place but typical Thailand, no maintenance & laźy staff content to do as little as possible. Wanted breakfast in Cafe but no body around to serve despite despite tooting the horn many times so forced to eat elsewhere.

Superb

This place is not a typical hotel, it is more about ambiance - being in the middle of nature, relaxing, enjoying the silence. Homestay. We stayed in a 3-bedroom house, which was spacious enough. They put a gas stove, so we could prepare our own food (we didn’t try breakfast on the site). Anything missing, just ask for it and a housekeeper would be happy to assist you. Again, this place is not about luxury (maybe not for everyone), but I’m sure the places like this mean much more to the local community and overall well being.

Cleanliness has to be improved. I appreciate there were not so many guests due to Covid over the last two years but the deep cleaning has to be done in the house.

Relaxed place to stay out in nature

Excellent location not too far from shops and local restaurants. We had a motorbike so could get around easily which helped and we were recommended close by places of interest by staff which were lovely to visit. We went on a kayak tour with them the next day for 800 baht with a friendly guide who showed us things you wouldn't see on a normal tour. We had dinner on site which was a large portion of pad Thai and the breakfast was very good seeming as it was included in the price. Toast with homemade banana spread, omelette, rice and fruit. I'd definitely recommend if you want a quieter place to stay out in real nature. Lots of various animals on site too and I would definitely visit again!

Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis war ok. Wenn man so günstig eine Übernachtung bekommt, dürfen die Ansprüche nicht zu hoch sein.

Der Geruch des Bettes war unangenehm. Es war sauber und das Bett frisch gemacht, nur die Matratze war wohl schon länger etwas feucht und roch intensiv.
