Nice room
Room too hot, no lights outside bar or reception , front of property in darkness hard to find
Nice but for price needs some things looked at. Corridors stairs to room not nice smells
These are constructive criticism as it’s an okay place, on very busy street so wakened early 🥲 on day off treat

The restaurant food was excellent, breakfast was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and room size very spacious.
The noise outside was very loud until around 1 o’clock in the morning, very heavy traffic and people leaving the hotel bar.

The food at the property was very good, we had two great breakfasts each morning we stayed and these were of great quality. Really good.
Unfortunately the stay was overshadowed by an absolutely foul smell in the corridor that we had to pass to get to our room which sometimes entered the room at the doorway. When this was mentioned to a staff member the first time she informed that the smell was from the kitchens and ventilation system. Speaking to another couple who were staying they informed that they had been told that the smell was due to foul drains, blocked and backing up that the staff could not do anything about. Obviously from the continuous foul smell in the corridor this made more sense for which the other couple were given a free bottle of Prosecco as part of acknowledgment that there was a smell in the corridor. When leaving we mentioned that there had been a foul smell which had persisted all weekend but again we were witnessed from those staff at check out of them not knowing of this smell which we basically informed that no one could deny of its presence in the corridor.
Other items of note and disappointment were the damaged cracked ceiling, the stains on the room carpet and the chipped and cracked sink in the bathroom. Overall a really disappointing stay that was tolerated with at least a good breakfast.

Room was basic but modern
Room was cold to start then turned up radiator and a squeaky floor.

Always a great place to lay your head if in or around Glasgow. Food offerings are great and well priced, breakfast is brilliant and the beds are super comfy.
Nothing to complain about

Location to the David Livingstone Birthplace was within minutes. Staff fantastic and friendly. Room great size, clean and comfy. Food was really good and the best cottage pie in this world. We also tried the Haggis fries which were delicious
Nothing - it’s a great hotel

Staff were excellent, some of the best we have ever experienced.
Only thing I could say was shower was a little small and water temps would fluctuate.

This is a difficult review.
Staff were helpful. Kind. Friendly. Lovely people.
Room overall was fine. But see below
I needed a iron, the manager hunted it down for me. Which was a great relief.
Bed comfy.
Tea/coffee available in room.
Breakfast superb.
This is the difficult part.
The room had a nasty odour. Drains. Powerful sewage smell.
I did talk to manager at check out, and was informed that it's a known problem. They are working on
No hotel should be renting rooms that have such a disgusting smell while they are " working on it ".
I paid more than £100 to lie awake smelling that odour.
I really believe if they are aware of the drainage issue, it should be something they make a guest aware of. I would not have booked, no one should book in these circumstances.

Everything. Room was beautiful, clean. Plenty of towels in a wee basket. Shower room was amazing.
4 poster bed beautiful too but the best part were the smiling, helpful staff.
Has a lovely outdoor bit too. Sat outside in the sunshine until 8ish.

Good wholesome cooked breakfast.
1. Should have a self serve breakfast cereal table, and a self serve toast facility.
2. The bathroom sink in room 5 is a major design fault, its tiny and occupies a miniscule corner within an otherwise clean functional bathroom.

Close location to where I was visiting.
Apart from one staff member, who went above and beyond the rest gave the impression customers are an inconvenience
As you enter the guest entrance, from the car park, you are overwhelmed by the smell of sewage. Had to have the bedroom windows opened as same smell in the bathroom.
The breakfast was good but the evening meals were very poor and I ended up extremely ill on our last evening.

Everything. Worst hotel I have stayed in.

The venue was lovely and a place I had visited before. We were also given an early check-in which we very much appreciated as we had stayed in the sister hotel The Angel the evening before.
There wasn't anything about the place that we didn't like.

The staff were pleasant and professional, room and building in general were very clean and tidy.
Breakfast was very nice! I had the pancakes and berry compote, my partner had the omelette!! Very generous with the portions.
Unfortunately the room is quite small, almost cramped. The bed/mattress was quite small and very very soft.
The shower, although very good pressure, is very cramped. I barely had enough room to turn around.
The industrial extractor fans/air con units outside our windows were fairly loud, but we were assured these would switch off at night after the kitchen closed, but they were on all night, and because it was fairly warm in the room, we had to keep the windows open.

Excellent, hospitable, kind staff who went more than the extra mile. Breakfast superb, as was the waitress. Good, high pressure shower. Contemporary decoration and nice cotton sheets.
Private room .
Room felt small as partly in eaves and double bed but is advertised as such. Noise of the kitchen extractor fan noisy and noticeable. Frosted glass windows meant no view. Bathroom sink way too small to wash or shave without dropping water on floor. Pillows far too bulky and uncomfortable. No choice of thinner pillows. Room needed to smell fresher as quite airless although we were kindly provided with a fan. However, didn't want to open the window because of the the noisy kitchen extractor fan.
EV chargepoint not working but staff very kindly went to take me to another charger and amazingly - drop me and return me to hotel if needed: that is amazing service.🥰 thankyou

There is nothing not to like, the premises was easily found with good parking facilities and the welcome from manageress and team was exceptional and was refreshing to have positive friendly faces despite being busy with an excellent restaurant.
The booking in was efficient and informative, and the room was extremely well furnished with excellent décor throughout and was very comfortable. Also it has easy access to Wi-Fi and good facilities for drinks in the room and bathroom to freshen up after a journey. Comfortable bed with fresh-smelling linen that was both welcoming and comforting. The food is outstanding, and my breakfast was the best I have had in months. hats off to the team and chef - I will be returning at my first opportunity
The bathroom sink, although stylish and clean, was just a little smaller than I am used to. But that is me being very picky as the décor was indeed outstanding.

We traveled up to The Parkville for a family party in the function room and decided to book a room to make it more convenient for us. What a lovely establishment this place is. Friendly and very efficient staff. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a great breakfast too. The party was a great success with a lovely atmosphere in a perfect venue. Would definitely stay again. 👍

Lovely spacious room decorated to a high standard with a fantastic shower.
All staff we met were very friendly and hospitable. Enjoyed a nice meal in the restaurant.
Guest info in the room stated breakfast only available Saturday & Sunday. On checking out, we noticed the key card wallet states breakfast is available everyday, however we were already too late and had missed breakfast.
