You get what you pay for.

Very handy location.

I had seen from reviews that it was run down but for the money decided to take a chance. Entry through the restaurant and they weren’t expecting me and made me stand there while texting someone to figure out if I had a room! Hotel carpets are filthy but room itself was clean and bed comfy. Yes the bedside lamp didn’t work, the heater only had 3 wheels a the random shower gels and shampoo in the bathroom was a bit strange! But I got a cheap bed for the night and figured I could handle it.

Disappointing

The food was the only thing I liked but no discount was given for guests eating in the restaurant.

The window in the bedroom didn't close, the shower head and the bottom of the shower was all dirty. The room itself was needing modernisation and overall very disappointing.

Horrible and frustrating.

Extremely filthy hotel, the carpets appear not to have been cleaned for 100 years! There was no hot water available for me to use , despite alerting a staff member, nothing has done! Left without having a shower! Getting hold of a staff member was frustratingly difficult, they wont answer the bell at the reception nor phone calls It was simply terrible. Never will I use their facility again.

Quick checkin, its like more self checkin. its good size room , not very big though. The restuarant downstairs serves very tasty food.

exactly what i was looking for

Awful-refused to stay

We arrived and the carpet leading the stairs was filthy…entered the room, window open (minus 2 outside). Turned the radiators on, they didn’t work. The towels were stained, bathroom was filthy! I asked about the heating and they bought us an electric oil filled heater in, this had 2 wheels from one end ripped off so the heater was angled about 10degrees-not safe. Went for a shower, no hot water in the sink tap or the shower so I went BACK down to reception, they were going to look at the boiler….by this time we had decided to leave. Please issue my money back in full, the place was disgusting and quite frankly not fit to keep chickens! Stay away from this place!!

Basic stay for one night

There was ample parking, well located in relation to the centre. Little kettle in the room to make tea. For the price you can’t complain too much! The staff were friendly when we arrived.

We arrived at 11.30pm after a long drive. Wanted to go the pub but once you’re in, you’re in. There’s a very strong smell of food in the hallways. It’s not a 4 star hotel…

Location

Everything else. Did not get as far as room but reception not welcoming and smelled damp. Outer Front door unlocked, inner also unlocked and key left in door. No answer to call on door entrance or when called out. There was a room key left on reception with a room number and name on it. I could have gone straight upstairs to rooms without being challenged and could have taken door keys. Cancelled booking and trying to get my money returned as I didn’t feel it was a safe place to stay as a single woman in her 60s.

The bed was comfy

Overall the room was a mismatch of furniture, cold, and more of a bedsit vibe. Doors locked at 12.30 am so had to arrange for someone to let us in at this time or you are locked out for the night. Hallways smelled musty, and overall bot a ice stay. Wouldn't return

No staff, key is in reception when you check in. Don't tell you that you are locked out after midnight, couldn't get back in until 7:30pm, wouldn't recommend

Disappointing.

The room was spacious and close to Hamilton West Train station.

There are no staff around at all, the key is left at the reception desk with your name on it. I never saw anyone during my 2 night stay. What is not clear is that breakfast is a plate left in your room with a peice of fruit, juice, croisant and a cold porridge pot. This is not made clear at the time of booking or otherwise. This was disappointing and should be made clear.

Poorly advertised, but an all right stay

The room was a good size and location convenient for whare I needed to be.

The exterior looks like an Indian restaurant with no reference to the hotel above. I looked around the area for 10-15 minutes until I decided to enter the restaurant with the need to ask someone who worked there! At this point the staff said follow me and took me to an unmarked side door where the hotel reception was located. Found only by chance!

The property outside in the back garden was a shambles an old suitcase lying randomly and also there was old oils from kitchen just sitting outside in my opinion thst attracts vermin

Inside the property there was no air con it was basically dinghy.the shower was freezing and they never sorted it in the week i was there.

Very rare I am disappointed but this place did it. I feel slightly cheated.

Comfy bed, restraunt staff were able to give me my room key thankfully as no hotel staff on site. Shower worked and with good pressure.

Bathroom bin not emptied from previous guests. No staff around at 7am when Breakfast is supposed to begin. Thankfully keys had been left in the door, due to the curfew and no staff on site / awake yet, I had to unlock the door myself so I could get to my job interview on time. Breakfast was very obviously laid out the night previous, as warm yoghurt and sweaty cheese, etc there. No coffee, tea, or milk was a real disappointment. Was relying on them to set me up for an important day ahead given breakfast was included.

The staff was very attentive and helpful. New owners so they are just getting familiar, so give them a chance. Cheap and cheerful

A little dated, only just been taken over so room for improvement including breakfast offerings. On a main road, it can be a little noisy. Somebody was fixing the neighbor's door late at night which disturbed me.

Excellent Value

The young man who checked me in was absolutely lovely and very helpful as I walk with a crutch. He carried my bags up the stairs to my room and said just to call if I needed help with anything. The room was basic, it was clean and adequate and good value for what I paid. 👍
