It was located where we needed to be

This was not clean, black mould all over the shower walls, shower scum all round the shower base, a piece of toilet roll stuffed in a hole in the ceiling, black mould in the corner of the window, floor was not vacuumed, cup ring on the side unit, mirrors not cleaned, smell of drains in the room.

We stay there a lot great location for us.

This time it seemed a little unloved, the mirror was off the wall, tv had lines across the screen, socket was loose on the wall, lampshade broken and chair back was coming off.

It’s only a short walk to my son’s house. The lady that welcomes me and cleans is such a delight and so helpful every time I visit

I find the mattresses quite uncomfortable as I am a larger person and the sprung single mattresses really aren’t the best for me.

Stayed in Room 5 Bright fire alarm light lit whole room The complimentary toiletries it advertised .. was a 3rd of a small bottle of shower Gel and an almost empty bottle of hand soap Only Half a roll of toilet paper Window still had the original tape around the edge … which suggests that not installed by a professional .. Large gap under door meant could hear lot of noise from main road which was only 10 metres away I paid around £59 for a Thursday night stay …

Warm (working radiators) Big modern bathroom with big shower cabin and good pressure Big tv with netflix and other channels (but not possible to watch with non existent WiFi)

Place maybe be ok for one or two nights but we stayed for 4 Few reviews mention microwave in a room , not in ours (twin room number 5 ) Only 2 plugs! Non existent wi-fi No housekeeping Only one towel per person (for the whole stay!) Dirty bath math - disgusting , it should be changed as often as towels or at least when dirty One bed extremely uncomfortable, springs making noise popping in and out, poking into your body- really bad

Great place for an overnight stay

Stonefield Rooms was a great place to stay - received a very warm welcome from the owner, who was particularly accommodating with my arrival via bicycle. The room itself was clean, had a newly fitted bathroom with a fantastic shower, and the tea and coffee making facilities were nice to have. Very good value for money.

Great apart from the bed.

The room was clean and having the table and chair was very helpful. The shower was great too.

The mattresses were very uncomfortable, the springs squeaked and were prominent when lying on the bed. This was the only downside to the stay.

Budget accommodation that looks daunting from outside. Rooms above a pub accessed by metal stairs outside. But rooms more than comfortable and no noise from pub below.

Great Value Rooms.

Excellent location, very clean, good communication with hosts. I cannot fault it for the price I paid, I've stayed in worse for more !! Had all the basics, kettle, microwave, hairdryer, iron & board, complimentary tea and coffee. Shops, takeaways, Asda all close by, bus stop outside and train station 5 mins walk away.

Only criticism and this is being nit-picky Full-length mirror would be nice, as would a couple of coat hangers. Maybe a mini fridge to keep milk, etc, cool. But to be honest, I survived without it and I would stay here again if I revisited the area.

Ideally located for a nearby family wedding. Just what you expect from a pub with rooms, simple, clean and good value. Locals were friendly.

This was not a problem to us at all, but you are staying above a pub. There is an expected level of noise when the pub is open.

Very poor cleanliness. Mould round windows. Blood on mattress. bathroom extraction fan very dirty. cobwebs on bathroom walls. Light switches not working. Inadequate room lighting. Car Park difficult to find. Parking area and access to room via a steel staircase was a building site. Dustbins in parking area was over flowing with food waste.

Location perfect, staff were so happy to help when I arrived way before check in and were so understanding. Was easy to access, comfy and tea and coffee available.

I thought the light switch next to the bed would turn off main lights but it didn't. Otherwise all good.

Pleasant

The price and room was good value, especially with my own bathroom. Fish & Chips across the street also were a great price and tasty. It was very close to the train station for getting into Glasgow.

I was told by locals who brought me to the tavern that as a foreign tourist it was not the safest area and they didn't recommend walking at night in the area. I had no issues and the room was comfy. It was a little noisy as karaoke in the pub below but nothing you wouldn't expect from staying above a pub.
