Frances and Stevie in the bar were brilliant let us put bags in early ,Had a drink in the bar ,they ordered us a taxi to take us to wedding venue .gave is really good advice about the area.Brilliant service

Couldnt fault it

The staff were caring and friendly, providing a reliable stay and within reach.

There were hairs on towels and bedspreads, a little incapable of cleaning.

We chose this property based on its extremely reasonable price and convenient location to visit family in the area. We spent five nights there. The rooms are on a second level behind a local tavern. There is no elevator to reach them, only an outside metal staircase -- which could be an accessibility issue for some. However, given that the property is accurately described it is truly a bargain. Lots of clean towels, upon request, good second floor hot water pressure for showers and very friendly pub staff that manage the premises. The location is within easy walking distance to the High Blantyre train station with direct service to Glasgow Central. It is also within walking distance to Dr. David Livingstone's birthplace which is managed by the Scottish National Trust. This has beautiful park grounds and lovely cafe.

Can't complain. It met our expectations. We booked it for convenience not luxury. It gave us a taste of a local Scottish high street.

It was so close to our venue for the night. The host was friendly and chatty. Ample tea coffee and sugar. Microwave in room. Only towels in bathroom were bath towels no hand towels. Chippy across road very reasonable. Also cafe across road open on a Sunday recommended . Cleanliness could be improved.

Doesn't say anything about non accessibility but is up 19 stairs as above a pub. More like a single room with double bed up against wall. 1 chair out of 2 was broken(reported) not sorted. No teaspoons. Went and asked for spoons and was told would bring them up shortly (Never received). We are used to road noise so had window open. NOT a B & B .Kettle steam set fire alarm off as is directly above kettle plug point. Mirror in bathroom and bedroom must of been put up by a 6ft person as I am 5ft 2 could only see my eyes. The one in bedroom is above table in a corner. Again too high but really inaccessible as would have to have moved table and chairs (to where) Mattress was very uncomfortable so didn't sleep well. Chest of drawers looked like something had spilt in top drawer but not been cleaned. But for the price it was a bed for the night. Price 55 pound for 2 sharing.
