The location was a perfect base from which to explore Ludlow and the surrounds. The hotel had a helpful walking suggestion that focused on nature, history and views. This was very helpful initial orientation. The rooms were clean and recently renovated. The service in the restaurant was attentive and the food good.

Cosy, clean and excellent breakfast with friendly/attentive staff in a great location.

In the bathroom of Cressida there were a few tiles missing and some mould/holes needing repair. The lady who checked us into Cressida seemed slightly over stressed and wasn’t clear about the room location at first which caused some difficulty. Also the hand held shower had a leak, reducing water pressure and outside the bedroom window the light was intrusive/too bright throughout the night .

Room was too hot (until we discovered the thermostat!). Also checkout time at 10.30am felt rushed for a premium room. 11.30am would be a lot better.

Super short break in Ludlow meeting old friends

Location and fabulous food

All lovely - if there was anything negative it was that the part of the restaurant that we were in was very noisy. However we were moved tables with no trouble to a quieter area.

Disappointing stay

Good position for getting into the town and trips out. Staff very friendly and helpful when you could find them. Food and service in restaurant, very good.

On arrival, at 12.30, there was no one manning reception, so wandered around the restaurant and bar until we found staff. And this was how it was. You wandered around until you could find someone. You could not add bar drinks or restaurant bills, to your final bill; which seemed odd. In the bedroom, there was no information or a greeting pack. There were items in the room with no instructions, and only with 30 minutes of trial and error, made usable- TV required re booting and retuning; coffee machine good once you figured out how it worked; as with the air conditioning unit. When I booked, I did mention it was an anniversary trip, but was unable to book a larger room. The room was disappointing.

Good location and food but disappointing accommodation

The catering was very good, lunch and dinner with interesting menus and good breakfast choices. The riverside location is a great draw, with easy access to the beautiful town of Ludlow.

Our bedroom was tiny. The two single beds were so narrow they were like children’s beds. The heat from the small fridge made the room like a sauna (and it could not be switched off). At night the window (single glazed) had to be shut because of the noise from the busy road adjacent.

Relaxing and luxurious stay in a beautiful location with superb food !

We received a very warm welcome, our room was spotless, comfortable and well equipped. A table for dinner had been reserved for us which was very thoughtful and we enjoyed a wonderful meal that evening. The standard of cooking was superb, catering well for vegetarians. Delicious and beautifully presented, locally sourced food. Breakfast was equally good and we loved being able to watch the birds on the river. All the staff were so lovely, nothing was too much trouble. We loved our room with a view of the river and its own private seating area. Great location with a short walk into Ludlow. Would highly recommend !

Perfect for our 3 night stay.

Excellent room with a great view over the river and the town, comfortable bed and a great en-suite. plenty of parking. Breakfast and dinner both very good quality with interesting menu, food was well cooked and presented. Five minute walk into town. Not cheap but good value.

Pretty property with ravenous river views

Super location by the river, with balconies and terraces. Spacious interior with car parking. Splendid dining area with smashing views across the river.

Our room and en-suite was a little tight to be comfortable. The twin beds in the room were too narrow - almost childlike.
