The staff were very welcoming friendly and helpful. The evening meal was spectacular we really enjoyed it. Ambience in the main building was superb, the fires were enchanting and let me mention the lovely staff again as they were delightful. The bed was very comfortable and it was spotlessly clean.
Hot tap in the bathroom did not work.

The Crown is your ideal country pub… warm/cosy, friendly - and it was quiz night when I was there, which was great fun. My room was fantastic… clean, comfortable - and spacious (I was given a double), which is not always the case for the solo traveller. The staff are delightful, and my stay was a bargain price which included a lovely breakfast. I’d stayed there before and would again.
Nothing.

Warm, clean comfortable room with a bath to sink in to after my journey and a walk along the canal bank. Super friendly, welcoming and informative staff. Tasty breakfast with lots on offer.
1 small thing, I like complete darkness for sleep and my room had an inner window with no curtain which had a light shining in throughout the night.

Good sized comfortable room in a building adjacent to the pub, with a bath and plenty of hot water.
Good real ale and a varied menu, available on a Sunday night. And full English breakfast cooked while you wait, with top notch coffee. Very friendly and helpful young staff.
Overall a very good two day stay.
Nothing at all!

Excellent breakfast, a clear step above the usual hotel or B&B style. The room was very nicely styled with a swish digital shower, which I've never seen before. Fantastically quiet but a bit out of the way.
A bit far from where I wanted to be. Not really their fault but I wanted to be in Stroud and this was the cheapest place at short notice. Other than that can't really fault the place.

Beautiful pub, but you’ll be staying in the much less beautiful annexe, which is comfortable but a bit sterile and dated. The full English breakfast was sensationally good and the staff lovely.
One thing. The windows in our room were locked and it was hard to breathe in the room, even ion an icy January night. I went off to the bar to find someone to help but weirdly, at before 10pm, the pub seemed to be closed. I later found there’s one small opening window - too small to escape from in a fire - so we were saved from the serious stuffy air and slept well. But the place urgently needs an emergency phone number - and a fire dept advisory.

Our accommodation, just adjacent to the pub, was spacious & very comfy. We had all we needed.

Easy check in and availability of parking was great. Welcoming and friendly staff throughout our stay. Beds were comfy and rooms were clean and spacious. Dinner in the restaurant and bar area was good with a cosy logfire to keep warm too. The proximity to the Cotswolds areas was fantastic. Breakfast was great.

We had a truly wonderful stay at The Crown Inn. From the moment we arrived, the receptionist and the ladies at the pub were incredibly professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful — they really made us feel welcome.
The food was outstanding, far beyond expectations, and the atmosphere of the place is absolutely unique. Having a fireplace in each room creates such a cosy and special ambience that you don’t often find.
The rooms were super comfortable and beautifully set up, perfect for relaxing after a day out. The location is simply magical, ideal for lovely hikes and enjoying nature.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended! 🌟
That we stayed only two nights! We wanted to stay more but we had head for Cambridge to get prepared for the new year's eve 😀

The location is exceptionally good and well located for exploring the area. The pub is a real treat and there is also no noise from that to the rooms you stay in.
Nothing springs to mind.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Exceptional service! The pub was cozy and warm with delicious food.
The quality of the rooms was far below our expectation. The doors were thin meaning we could hear any noise from the hallway or from the bathroom. The bed also felt very flimsy despite seeming relatively new. It was bad enough that we had trouble sleeping through the night because of the noise and movement of the bed anytime one of us shifted at all.

A gem of a pub with separate accommodation block.
Great vibes with mix of locals and visitors. Good lunch/dinner menu with additional specials. Great freshly cooked breakfast.
Large room, comfy bed, spotlessly clean bathroom.
Exceptional staff! Warm, helpful & v friendly!
Poss a more powerful shower, but not really an issue.

Staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable and lovely and warm when the weather was cold. The food in the pub was excellent both in taste and presentation. A lovely roaring fire and a nice atmosphere. Car parking was easy. The water in the shower and basin were nice and hot.
The bathroom could have done with a bit of rubbing down where the wall had been filled and the skirting repainted. Somewhere to put your wash bag would be nice apart from on the floor.

The breakfast and dinner were both very good, and value for money.
The room was very tired, no quality items, just the very basic. Which was disappointing given the rating and price.

Lovely friendly staff. Food was good, we gad the homemade burgers. Great veggie menu on offer though. Rooms were nicely furnished and decorated and warm. Bed super comfy. It's a great place in a lovely little village. We are 3 friends from infants school living miles away from each other but will definitely meet up again here.
Bath caulking needs addressing. Shower kept going off and ran cold when started again each time. Bar/restaurant full of smoke all night from open fire. Quite unpleasant but maybe unusual?

Lots of menu choices both for dinner and breakfast. Lovely wood fires
I knew before I went that there were no walk in showers only bath with shower over. Bedrooms were located in a separate building to the main pub so a coat was needed to go to breakfast.
