Large, clean double room with lovely view of fields Woman on the desk at check in was lovely

Bulb missing from bedside light - did mention to man on the desk when I left in the morning but he did not seem interested. Shower water pressure variable.

Comfortable bed, all facilities in room available to use.

The bed was amazingly comfortable. Extra pillows available. Supplies for tea and coffee were available in the room with extras in reception

Had to walk across to the services for access to food for evening. ( it was raining!) Fan in bathroom was very loud! The door to bathroom banged against the radiator when opened.

Other guest had the parking ability of a goat. Plenty of parking spaces out the front unusable due to inconsiderate people just parking over two bays

Perfect for a one night stay.

The room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfy and very good blackout curtains. Very good value for 1 nights stay. Location was ideal.

Dressing table lights didn’t work and we could have done with an extra chair.

the staff were very friendly and when I had issues they were dealt with very promptly

there was mold on the walls and ceiling of the bathroom, and I received a parking ticket having paid for parking at the hotel.

A very good place to stay when we need to break our journey

We stay regularly. Booking in is easy- important if you want to get into room quickly after hours spent in car. I use a wheelchair and always a ground floor room. Staff always friendly & attentive to our needs. Realise that after a sometimes long and tiring journey you don’t want to talk much!

As it was included in the room price, it was good value for money. Not sure I'd have been prepared to pay the going rate.

I crossed from northbound to southbound to get it. Probably would have selected from the southbound facilities had it not been prepaid.

Bizzarre set up

Very warm welcome upon arrival. Comfortable bed. Excellent shower - good power and hot. Room appeared to be clean and reasonably well maintained. Generally adequate but nothing special. Suppose you get what you pay for.

Suspicious looking gravel like substance in the toilet u-bend. Additional charge to park my car at a motorway service area - how the hell did they think I was going to get there? Broomstick!? Using restaurant breakfast facilities on the southbound services when the hotel accommodation is on the northbound side. Did not appreciate an early morning walk in the rain across an exposed motorway pedestrian bridge. Breakfast was really quite disappointing.

Dated rooms smell musty bathroom bath enamel wore rust near tap and the bath water is so cold not that you would bath in a bath that is worn needs new hot water system not paying for cold water or warm hot needed for cleanliness

All you need for an overnight stay

Nice half way stop for our journey to Cornwall. 2nd time we’ve stopped here & both times reception staff have been very nice, friendly & accommodating. Super quick check in. Free parking. Extra tea/coffee if you wish. Buy a beer at reception. Services easily walkable which have the usual food outlets. Room basic, clean, spacious with a good shower & comfy bed. All you need for a simple stop over. It’s Days Inn not the Ritz so for the money it’s a winner.

Really excellent price. Room was spacious, clean, quiet. Bed very comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff who gave info on how to get to Southbound on M5.

An extra chair for the desk area and a wine glass would be good. TV was small.
