Very good accommodation of the Motel type….easy quick in and out….clean and comfortable

Location good for access to The Forest, main road and railway station nearby for easy access to north and south. Spacious car park. Handy on edge of Lydney shopping area.

Noisy, window facing carpark Loud people, swearing and smoking outside until late in the night Small bed, poor coil mattress Bright light outside stayed up all night Pugent odour in the room I left after 1st night, they refused to refund 2nd night!

Excellent place to stay

Such a lovely place, in a fantastic location. The staff were so lovely nothing was to much trouble. We had everything we needed in the room. Nice and clean had a nice comfy bed shower was nice and hot easy heating was easy to use. There was nothing not to like. It was my 50th birthday while we was there and they brought me a card and lovely flowers 💐 which was so kind of them. We stayed in a dog room as we had two small dogs. Definitely coming back.

Room is large and very clean. The bed is comfy and has good linens. Tea and coffee making facilities are very welcome.

As this is a motel with no facilities (and I know that is what I booked) but a microwave in reception for clients use would be a great addition.

Comfy , warm and easy access to venue we use for the show

Rooms are warm and beds are comfortable . Easy to park outside. Plenty of tea coffee etc supplied

Even though rooms are dog friendly maximum of two , when we come down we always have to bring more so unfortunately some had to sleep in the van which they aren’t used to and I was worrying all night about them . Some of them apparently were barking at 2am which I didn’t hear but some of my friends in other rooms did . I wouldn’t want this as it not only wakes up other residents but also causes stress to the dogs . My dogs are well behaved show dogs so if there is anyway we can pay more to have them in the room with us it would be very much appreciated as we are hoping to attend this show every year.

Deansgate lydney excellent place to stay

Room very clean and staff always helpful. It's central location means you can walk from the hotel into towm and local attractions. Very quiet location.

Good quality budget place to stay.

Spacious room with good quality bedding and towels. Plentiful supply of tea/coffee in the room. Pleasant, friendly staff. Very little noise from other rooms. Walking distance to the Station and a Tesco.

Chairs in my room could have been more comfortable.

A Pleasant Stay

Room was super clean and large in size. Bed was comfortable. Shower was nice and hot and also clean towels provided. Provide a large amount of coffee and Tea packets. Staff was super friendly and check in and check out was super easy.

The hotel is in an ideal location for exploring the Forest of Dean region. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was also spotless and had a spacious shower with plenty of hot water. Check-in was immediate and effortless and check-out consisted of just dropping the key. Plenty of free parking. Highly recommended!

The bed, while comfortable, had a slight but discernable ridge down the middle. The wi-fi was generally excellent but seemed to lose its connectivity a couple of times.

The rooms themselves were huge and clean. I've been in large hotels where the rooms are tiny in comparison

The bed wasn't the most comfy for myself and made noise from the springs while moving, but in the other room I booked they found it quite comfortable so I think it's down to preference and obviously they can't cater for all

Pleasant staff, good food and very well placed for the attractions that we wanted to visit.

Breakfast, although light, was more than adequate. The staff brought the breakfast to us at the requested time without fail. It is well situated for both the town and the countryside attractions.

We found the bed to be rather hard and a little uncomfortable. The roadside sign was not very conspicuous - could do with being larger.
