Property is in an ideal location for visiting the pretty village and surrounding areas. We were able to check in early which was great. Communication was excellent. Thank you Tony. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent too. Nothing to dislike about our stay. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Thank you Tony and Alex.

Cheerful proprietors, eclectic decor and an excellent breakfast

It is very charming, with great attention to detail. The room was spacious, including sofa and coffee table, and the bed was very comfortable. The decoration is done with taste and very personalised which makes the whole space truly feel like a cocoon. The owners are very welcoming, and we could clearly see their care for customers and also their support for artists, with artworks displayed in both the room and the breakfast area. There is a park just across the road with a pastoral view and which was very convenient for our puppy. The breakfast was huge and very enjoyable, with delicious homemade marmalade. The village itself is very pleasant with an artistic touch that we really appreciated.

The only small downside for us is that it is located on a main road. That said, the road is not busy at all, so it is really more a matter of personal preference - this was entirely our choice when booking, and it did not take away from how much we enjoyed the stay.

The accommodation was truly lovely — the room was spacious, very clean, and beautifully decorated with artistic touches that made it feel warm and inviting. The bed was comfortable, and the overall setting was peaceful and relaxing. That said, the property itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and offers a high level of comfort.

There were, however, a couple of moments that felt a little uncomfortable. When we requested a toilet paper refill on the second day, the response was unexpectedly dismissive, with a remark about the amount already provided — which felt unnecessary. During breakfast, there seemed to be some discomfort from the host when we left a portion of the meal (specifically the roasted mushrooms), as it didn’t quite suit our taste. A comment was made questioning how, after living in the UK for five years, we still couldn't enjoy a traditional British breakfast — which came across as unkind and unnecessarily judgmental. It would be wonderful to see a more open and respectful attitude toward guests of different races, cultures, and food preferences. A genuinely welcoming approach can go a long way in making all guests feel comfortable and valued.
