Great location, good room size, and the on site gym was really handy (£5 to use per day) and was clean, and well-equipped. We had a nice meal in the restaurant and breakfast was fine. Friendly staff on reception and in the restaurant.
A bit noisy as we could hear people walking up and down the corridors and talking from 6am. No biscuits in the room was a bit disappointing!

The ‘L’ shaped room accommodated 3 persons but there was only 1 reading/bedside lamp and given the main light switches were 1 inside the room door and one on the wall of the ‘L’ shape it meant switching off the main lights and fumbling in the dark to the bed. Normally light controls are near the beds so if more lamps had been available it would have benefitted the occupiers. I did request an extra lamp but none were available. Noise was a factor, doors and fire doors were NOT soft close so a lot of banging doors, corridors outside rooms on ground floor had creaky flooring, as did the flooring of the rooms occupied above. For such a great location and a thriving golf club, with lovely staff the building is tired and would benefit from better soundproofing and adequate lighting controls. The fan in the bathroom worked but was noisy and the toilet flush took several flushes to clear waste.
