Room had everything required. The bed was comfortable.; The owners and staff were extremely friendly and attentive.
It is a big place which needs a little upkeep but there's nothing that detracts from the comfort, just aesthetics.

Breakfast and morning staff
Everything other than breakfast
5.0 / 10.0
The Breakfast was ok if you like a full English , but not a lot of healthy options if you didnt want a full English
The place was very run down and could do with a serious upgrade . It looked like its being run on a skeleton staff and just was very off putting
8.0 / 10.0
Good location and nice people
Shower curtain wasn't keeping the water in the shower tray.
The bed was a little uncomfortable and a small double.

Interesting location on a slope across the road from the river but sadly not in the town. Excellent staff / owner who greeted us warmly and super alternative Indian menu which was very good.
It felt tired decor wise, the bathroom particularly. My room was over the kitchen and the extractor fan which was very noisy during cooking hours. Thankfully that was switched off at 20.30 and didn’t come on until breakfast at 7.30.
Not the hotels fault but like many of us this time of year there was an infestation of ladybirds in the window frames which hadn’t been cleared so they all fell into the room when I opened the window.
Also beware the steep steps down from the car park to the entrance, they are oddly short and shallow.

Nice hotel in a great location for hiking the area.
Staff were brilliant as was the Indian food.
Rooms are in need of some TLC, but this is reflected in the price.

Location. All the staff are excellent but especially Mandy at breakfast. We liked it so much we have already booked for next year.
For the price you’re paying to stay in that area there is nothing that affects your comfort, but a few areas around the hotel that could be renewed or tidied up.

A beautiful location
Room 9 had no central heating during our stay, so bathroom was always very cold. Plumber visited on 15th,entire system needed bleeding, work on 16th???,starting at opposite end of a very long ground floor area to equally long upstairs area, Room 9 at the far end of upstairs.
Premises locked up at 9.0pm, discouraged from remining in residents' lounge area, where there's inadequate comfortable furniture. Holidaying with friend so lounge opening times stilted our discussions.

Everyone was so friendly, food was amazing and bed was so comfortable! Loved it and would highly recommend to anyone!
Loud neighbours, but that was absolutely no reflection on the hotel/staff! Just loud guests next door.

Breakfast good but dinning area cold.
One member of staff excellent, others poor.
Bedroom was comfortable and clean but decor tired.
Hotel itself tired and in need of major refurbishment. Exterior and grounds need maintenance, dog excrement abounds.

Lovely looking building in a beautiful location.
Paper thin walls you could hear down to a cough! Noisy in the chalets. Very average food. Very basic breakfast for the charge

Good location for fishing trip, good beer, clean rooms and food ok
Owners have severely restricted restaurant and bar opening hours. Facility closed at 9pm and we were asked to go to our rooms. Wife of owner telephoned me while fishing and asked us to return to the hotel or risk not having a meal

Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Room was good, but could have been improved with a couple of chairs. Very conveniently placed.

food was delicious and the staff were very accomodating.
seemed to be few staff for the size of the hotel.

The location.
There was mold in the room and lots of dust. Outside the door of our room which was not in the main building but next to the parking lot was an overflowing rubbish bin with bags of dog poo. The maintenance and cleanliness of the hotel was poor. We were booked for 3 nights and only stayed for 1 night. We complained to a member of staff but the manager was not on site and not reachable by phone.

The views looking over the countryside were wonderful . The bedroom and communal areas were clean.
The decor could do with a spruce up, the four poster bed needs a higher mattress but other than that
things were fine.

Rooms were very clean but dated especially the bathroom. Disappointed to find so many steps- difficult for me to cope with as I have mobility problems

Location of the hotel the staff were very friendly the food was very good
Mattress a little bit too soft for us pillows could be improved TV signal hit and miss but Wi-Fi okay but not secure room could have done with a lick of paint the towels could have been bigger

Location was great for walking out from. New owners have introduced Indian street food on the menu which I would recommend. Staff were very accommodating and looked very presentable.
Room was very tired and wasn’t very clean when you settled in you noticed lots of cobwebs everywhere and surfaces were dusty. Feel it’s a bit of a cheek charging £10 for a dog for extra cleaning when the room wasn’t really clean anyway apart from the bedding. We paid going rate for the room and don’t feel we got value for money. Shame as would like to have come back again due to location.

Good location and the staff were very helpful. Good value for money.
The Inn needs a general tidy and updated. Although clean the decor is tired and the outside area needed some repair and tidying.

The host was helpful kind and very pleasant. The Inn on the Wye is a country pub and it has the addition of an Indian menu as well as a traditional pub grub. Our room was spotless. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it .An enjoyable visit.

Great location, easy parking. We were in the family suite which was nice though one window had no handles and could not be closed.
Inconsistent information in the rooms, on the website and asking staff regarding meal times. The check in, bar and dinner were run by young girls who were friendly but undertrained. Breakfast was an extraordinary experience with an angry older lady repeatedly chastising guests. So bizarre it was entertaining but overshadowed the otherwise lovely stay.

On checking in I booked a table asking for 6:30-7:00pm and told they will book it for 7pm, to give me more time to settle in. This sounds lovely, but got down to the bar just gone 7pm to be told "the restaurant shuts at 7pm". Clearly I got annoyed and told it I could pick a meal quickly they would prepare it - which they did. But be aware of this fact, never known a hotel/bar to do this so early, it is usually 9pm, which is understandable. The other annoying thing is you can't have breakfast before 8am, so if you need an early start... WiFi coverage was good and could be detected all around the hotel, I could log on but couldn't access anything on phone, ipad or laptop - so could do any work. Asked about the WiFi as others also complaining it didn't work - just to be told - "it worked OK on his device". Not good

Excellent breakfast location very good
Not suitable for disabled persons, The hotel is built on a steep hillside with the carpark at the top and the restaurant at the bottom our room was in the middle therefore we had to drive down to eat and back to sleep
8.0 / 10.0
Everyone was very friendly, and the food was very good, especially the Indian menu. The breakfast team were very cheerful and even bought Ernie (dog) his own cut-up sausage for breakfast when they delivered ours ... so it's five stars from Ernie!
Nothing, had a nice stay, would stay again
