Very good location

The room was comfortable and in general the property was very close to the centre

The air-condition wasn't working properly and the room was cold. However finally have been provided with oil radiator and the room was warm. Another thing i didn't like is that doesn't list on booking website that the property doesn't have elevator. Last who is considering to book the parking with extra charge that the property offers with limited spaces. Be aware that the parking is not very close when you park the car ( another build next to the property that on -2 floor is where you must park). However your exit is from the opposite side of the property through another hotel (0 floor) and you need to carry your luggage all around the build to go to the property.

Memorable visit to a beautiful destination, one which we will always treasure.

We loved the location so close to the Christmas markets that we had come to visit. The room we booked was for four people and was a really good size and equipped fully. It was a lovely room and we could not fault our host Irina. Breakfast was ample and beautifully laid out. We would definitely recommend a stay.

The only issue we had was late in the evening when the internet connection kept freezing / buffering, but we also understand that some things are note in the control of our hosts, and so it wasn't a huge issue at all. I had some work emails to look over so it was a bit frustrating ( but my wife was happy that the internet was down :) ).

Lovely room, lovely staff, perfect location.

The breakfast was excellent and really thoughtfully presented. The location was perfect for a walk into town - just a couple of minutes. The tram stopped right outside the hotel. Very good all round.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Lys, nice hotel to stay and visit Gent.

We had a great stay at La Lys, very nice rooms, very good breakfast (they even made fresh poffertjes), very friendly personel and the location is also perfect nearby the city center (about 5 min walk).

Only remark I have about the room is that the bathroom is a bit small, especially the shower cabin. But this doesn't add up to the rest, really enjoyed our stay.

The property is just located in the city center. The breakfast is excellent.

There’re mosquitoes in the room although we’re not bitten. The glass of rooftop window is broken. The door of the bathroom is deformed and could not function well.

We stayed room no:7 for 4-guests room and there was no full-lenght mirror. There was only one mirror which is in bathroom.

Items and Victoria were charming hosts and provided lots of local knowledge. Irene was very helpful with tram details and the location is perfect near the cathedral. The breakfasts were just lovely and using local products.

Well organised, spotlessly clean room with very comfortable bed, great shower. Staff: Irina, Katrina, Anastasia were fabulous. Fabulous breakfast. Easy walk to centre and public transport easy to access and close at hand.

Apart from the little minor issues, we had a great stay.

Location was very good. Staff was helpful.

The air conditioner was not working properly. The cleaning staff fixed it after 1 night, but that same day, it stopped working again. There is only 1 small light in the bathroom -- above the mirror. So the shower area can get a bit dark. The guests above us were very noisy -- like kids jumping all around. And the noise from the street can be quite loud. We were not aware there were breakfast items for the guests and were only told 2 days after. So we had to buy our own breakfast the first 2 days.
