The Fishers Hotel
Location of the hotel is excellent. Stones throw away from the train station. There is a good atmosphere in the hotel. The breakfast was ok.
Our room was located along a long corridor, that was being painted/refurbished. The carpet had plastic floor coverings and was a trip hazard. There was old dirty furniture left outside our room.
I shouldn't have accepted this when I checked in. Advised reception at check out and was told all they could do was apologise.

We enjoyed our stay and would go back. Next time we would select a different bed. Maybe a superking.
Breakfast was very good. Staff were helpful and friendly. Location excellent. Warm cozy bar with real fire.
The bed. We opted for a twin room. The beds were both uncomfortable. Mattress hard. We didn’t sleep well.

Lovely hotel, just not working at full potential (overstretched with functions?)
The location
Blocked toilet, lack of bedside light, lack of dining options due to an event
Good setting and customer service ,car parking not good
breakfast good
car park ,not enough parking space, wedding party may have been reason for this

Could have been a lot better!!
Great location. Clean & tidy.
There was no hot water in any of the 4 rooms we were staying in on the first morning.
I live in Irvine, the price of a pint of Birra Morretti in my local is ÂŁ3.60, in the hotel it was ÂŁ7.35. More than double. We had 1 drink in the hotel over the 2 days because of the excessive cost.

Excellent location for visiting the Enchanted Forest.
Excellent location for going to the Enchanted Forest.
Room very clean, warm and lovely decorated.
Squeaky floor boards but this is usual in an old building and very noisy neighbours.

Passable, but unable to recommend.
The location was convenient. The breakfast was lovely. The staff, for the most part, were pleasant.
The entire hotel was fairly out dated. We stayed in room 124. One of the windows was painted shut. There were pipes cut at the walls and not concealed or covered, there was also a large pipe (unsure of redundant) quite prominent in the room itself. The kettle worked, but was fairly impractical and I managed to scald myself trying to re-fill it just after use. The water pressure was pretty poor. For a family room, it was impractical. There was no obvious way of turning off the bathroom radiator, risking injury to child if touched. Furthermore, although there was a lift, there was a further two small flights of stairs to the room itself - having a buggy, this made the room location impractical. There was a ÂŁ5/night charge for the car park which I feel should have been included in the price of the hotel, not an additional charge.

Great stay
We stayed in a family room and we liked that there were proper single bed for the child, not a sofa bed. Plus the beds were super comfortable and the the pillows were just perfect.
We also loved the room, it was very spacious and beautiful. The location was perfect for the Enchanted Forrest pick up bus.
The breakfast was great and was served in a really beautiful room. Overall we had a great stay.
There wasn't anything really.

Comfortable beds
Beds very comfortable
Noise of people walking about in their rooms above. This woke us and other families in other rooms. Unable to use the shower, ended up having a bath as unable to move the option between bath & shower as would not budge. Cooked breakfast very dry

Pleasant and comfortable stay
The newly decorated room was spacious but the bathroom was tired. A great location with plenty to around the hotel
It would have been nice to be informed of the building works that were going on

Beautiful traditional hotel in great location
Beautiful traditional hotel (that's clearly currently getting some re-decoration and freshening). Room (3 single beds) was huge with double aspect windows. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel was quiet through the night so we all slept very well. Buffet breakfast was varied and delicious. Amazing central location in Pitlochry, easy walking distance to the Festival Theatre. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect location for drivers and to use the station, some shabbiness, pub great.
Due to an injury leading to problems walking and standing I notified the hotel in advance and was given a ground floor room. There were however problems with this and they had not thought it through very well. After the first night we made requests regarding duvets and pillows and the communication between reception and housekeeping was good. The attached pub, while open to non-residents, was excellent and worth booking a table if dining. We picked the hotel for easy access to the railway station and indeed could see the station from our room, the location was superb and we always found a parking space - ÂŁ5 per night. Rooms facing the garden were quiet and good for a restful stay, however this might not be the case if a wedding or other party is being hosted. Every staff member encountered was friendly, the young bar crew in particular.
We had three nights, the first night was terrible due to small double bed and far too small duvet - as soon as two people were under the duvet it did not stretch over us and we need pillows under our legs which makes it worse; we both had the sense that the edges of the bed sloped down and felt like we might roll out of bed. Access to the room was down a significant incline or some steps, steps had to be used to get from room to breakfast dining room. The website made it look like a luxurious restaurant, the reality was an echoey room which was like a school dining hall. We were surprised that we had to select a time for breakfast for all three mornings on the day we checked in; more so when we got to breakfast and everything, including bad coffee, was self-service. We were last into breakfast and the Scottish hot items were lukewarm, with cold plates. We understand that refurbishments need to be made, however this left everyone with very little room to enjoy lounging and the bar area. In our room we requested housekeeping once, the shelf under the extractor fan was not cleaned and there were bits of dusty fluff down the wall and on the shelf; we had to ask for soap to be topped up. Storage in the shower room was good but oddly placed and no hooks. Shower barely suitable for a shower stool as the drain plug is half way along the cubicle, with the entrance at one end.

Very enjoyable
Great location, helpful staff. Very comfy beds.
I appreciate that as you are in the centre of town it’s great you have parking however you advertise free parking. Going out in the evening we could not get a space on the way back . I think a helpful addition would be to provide a pass for some of the other parking available in town in these situations. It was a pain having to get up early to move the car.

Comfortable central hotel
Great location in centre of Pitlochry. Very comfortable King room, plenty of space and quietly located at rear of hotel.
Undergoing some refurbishment in main rooms on ground floor.
Breakfast a little disappointing, no Weetabix and quality of coffee from machine was poor.

It was just ok nothing special
The location was central
For a deluxe room it was pretty poor the lamps were covered in dust and the light bulb was thick with dust. In the bathroom the soap container was dusty and the loo roll holder had a bit missing. The decor was a bit mix and match

Great place to stay to attend the Highland Games !
Great location and staff.
Dinner felt a bit rushed because a large group was expected soon after our reservation time.
However, the food was excellent.

Delightful town
Comfortable room. In the middle of a quaint little town close to restaurants and pubs. Great selection at breakfast. Onsite parking at a cost.
There was a lot of maintenance work going on it felt a bit like a building site going to breakfast, but I do understand upgrading.

Recommend but not in the heat of summer!
Great location, clean and quiet rooms for sleeping. A good choice for breakfast.
I was there in August and there was no air conditioning and the window was painted shut. We had a fan but it was very hot and uncomfortable each afternoon.

Not good, 2.5 star hotel in our experience.
The only positive thing about the stay for us was the central location.
The only positive thing about the stay for us was the central location. The hotel in our opinion does not even deserve 3 stars. In our opinion it is run down and completely overstated in the fotos on their website and booking. We only stayed as it was too late to look for other accommodations. There was no ventilation in the room (no AC or fan), the pillows were hard, the caulking in the shower had mildew and the outlet in the bathroom did not work. The overall decoration, carpets etc was aweful. It reminded us of a bd hotel in a forgotten place. On the positive the reception and bar staff were friendly, but the breakfast service staff was unaccommodating and were more focused on setting up for the next meal than attending breakfast guests. The breakfast buffet and coffee from the machine was also pretty bad. We ended up having breakfast in the cafe across the street that was really good and had friendly staff.

Lovely hotel to explore surrounding areas.
Solid breakfast. Large family room was sufficient for three adults. Pleasant staff and reception.
The hotel would benefit from additional capital expenditure.
