Sylvia on Reception very friendly and polite.
The hotel has seen better days

Good location for what I needed.
Didn’t feel secure and cleanliness of hotel
3.0 / 10.0
The location is good, very near the town. The hotel having its own car park was good. The staff were super friendly, helpful and polite.
The room was very shabby, the duvet didn't fit the bed, it was a double on a larger bed. The pillow, one each, was like a sandbag, heavy and solid, awful!
The floor was laminate, no rug.
The bathroom was awful, stained sink and bath, mould on the wall and shower curtain rail. The toilet seat was broken. The sink plug was stiff and didn't work properly. The room overall was tired and shabby, but it was clean. A washing machine was turned on in the hall whilst we were trying to sleep. The breakfast was disappointingly haphazard, like an odd attempt at continental but with a bacon cob!
To be fair, the hotel is obviously for tradesmen, reps, etc. I'll be careful to check the type of clientele next time, serves us right for being skinflint, at £20 pp, what could we expect!

Great cheap hotel for a stop off.
Nothing.

This is a very basic hotel so judged against that it is value for money for work or onwards travel. The room was utilitarian but clean. Similarly bathroom very clean. What was really good was that it was nicely warm on a winter night.
Breakfast was available from 6:46am, useful for going out to work. There is a communal microwave in the lounge.
Not somewhere to have a holiday break. Vibes are youth hostel without the youths. Decor tired and corridors carpets very, very, sad. The pillows were very, very flat.

Location was brilliant and staff were friendly.
No heating working in bedroom & bathroom number 21 located in the basement. Had to get a heater put in my room to keep warm from reception. Hot water in bath but not any hot water whilst using the sink.

The room was clean and tidy and had everything that I could have wanted. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was all that I expected it to be.
As some of the reviews that I read said, the breakfast was fairly basic. However, it had everything that I needed and for the price I could not complain.

Great location & good price, especially as a small breakfast was included. Small room but adequate for a one night stay.
8.0 / 10.0
Staff were great, included breakfast at that price was a very nice touch. Very easy access both to central London (on the nearby train station) and to Heathrow (by car) which worked out for us well. Free on site parking was great and it was nice to have tea and coffee in the room. Good water pressure
The place had quite an old smell and feel - it could really do with a renovation.

The main thing going for this hotel was its location to central High Wycombe. I visited and stayed one night because I wanted to see the Panto at the theatre (Wycombe Swan). It was a 10 minute walk down the hill directly into the town centre, I couldn't have been much closer for the price I paid.
It was also relatively clean and warm throughout and in my room so I will give it that.
The hotel looked dated, shabby and in need of maintenance and repair. I couldn't use my TV because the aerial connection was broken. When I ran the hot tap, it came out black for a bit before it settled down and was ok to use, possibly something in the pipe. The window latch was broken so the window could not be locked. It was very basic in my room and the breakfast was somewhat lacklustre.
For what I paid, I wasn't expecting much but it would have been nice not to have multiple things broken in my room.

Location is good and receptionist was very professional and friendly
Toilet was small and breakfast was very disappointing.
7.0 / 10.0
Breakfast was ok (hot bacon rolls) would be good if there was bread and toaster, may have been but didn’t see it, also would have been good if there was a cereal option. But it was ok for me.
The exterior is in need of a spruce up, front door was a bit rotten and a massive bin greets you as you arrive. Nothing that can’t be fixed.

Good location, good price
Spots of mould in the bathroom, breakfast very basic.

The staff were helpful
The hotel wasn't clean, and the room smelled really strongly of cigarettes (no-smoking signs up on the door). We stayed in the room for about 10 minutes and asked to move to another. Non available, so asked for a refund.

The location was good for the town centre, good car park, nice bacon bap for breakfast
We were expecting basic because of the price but were disappointed by how run down it was. TV didn't work, toilet seat was loose, no soap, just shower gel and bed was hard and lumpy. Thin walls as people talking loudly on the next room, kept us awake. The breakfast room needed cleaning during breakfast session.

Close to town, decent size carpark with free parking. Breakfast was ok, was just bacon rolls and some muffins and fruit, grab and go. They did supply gluten free bread after messaging them a few days before so grateful for that..
We were supposed to be in a triple room, pictures on Bookings.com showed my booking with 3 single beds. When we got to property we were given 2 rooms, one with 2 single beds, and a room with a double bed so very misleading. We were 3 woman, one a young girl so then one of us had to be in a room on their own, not even next to each other. The room with the double bed had a dodgy lock and absolutely stank of cigarette smoke for the whole weekend to the point I've come away ill. I did complain twice to two separate people on reception. I booked the triple room months in advance of visit, and was told on the night we arrived, that there is no triple room, so disappointed as this is false advertising and if I had known I would have looked to book elsewhere. The rooms are very tired, and the bathroom has had much better days, shower cubicle very small. On a whole it was fine as it was close to where we needed to go, and it was relatively cheap so you get what you pay for, but they need to sort the cigarette smell in number 35 as it is really bad and also sort the lock.

Free parking and close to the town centre. Parking for about 10-15 cars. Friendly staff. Nice ensuite. Breakfast included. Bacon. Croissant. Muffin. Coffee etc. Good for the price.
Walls are a bit thin. People along the corridor talked loudly until 3 in the morning, so poor sleep.
The room needed some maintenance as one of the window fastenings was missing. One of the staircases had no bannister which was dangerous for carrying a case.
Tiny wardrobe.

Location was good to train station

Close to downtown… easy to walk to places
The size of the room was incredibly small, especially the bathroom with the cracked sink, shower that overflowed. Walls were thin.. could hear everything going on next door and above me at all times , day and night! The breakfast was pathetic… only bacon for hot meal( I’m vegetarian) communal yogurt container put out each day(ugh). I ended up bringing in my own food! Coffee and juice were ok.
4.0 / 10.0
The breakfast was very inadequate, compared with most facilities that include it.
Advertised as a 3 star, but is actually a low 2 star. We cancelled a future stay here, for it was very much below our expectations. No criticism of the staff.......they were all excellent, and very accommodating!!
10.0 / 10.0
It is just a few minutes walk from the station.
Coming back very late it was great to have 24 hour reception.
The staff were always very welcoming and friendly.
There was nothing that I disliked about the hotel.
6.0 / 10.0
Friendly staff, clean room good hot shower. Extremely good value for money, including free parking and simple breakfast of bacon rolls, coffee, orange juice, fruit & packet pastries.
It’s an old building getting a bit tired, budget furniture and fittings, but for the money, I’m not complaining!!
