Good value

The manager was exceptionally helpful. He found me a usb plug as I had forgotten mine. The security on the doors was excellent. The location was incredible, close to town, the event at Wycombe Abbey and the car park was a short walk.

I didn't realise that I had to phone to check in as I'd been at an event all day and hadn't checked my emails. However once I phoned I only had to wait a few minutes. The toilet needed descaling.

Disappointed

I liked that the owner was very nice, highly secure. You need 3 diffrent codes for every door including bedroom. The owner let me checkout later than the normal 10 o'clock. The location is great. Bed was super comfortable tho

Although the owner was nice. Managing quests was unorganised as I was told I wasn't expected the day of check in. It was very cold. There was stains in the bed sheets. The police were called there the weekend of our stay due to shouting in building. And the main hangout area was unkempt and rundown. The walls were also paper thin so you could hear anything and everything. Wasn't worth the amount asked.

Cryptic check in system, overall general aspect of the building, no place to storage clothes in the room, very noisy appliances, not enough toilet paper.

Horrible service, bad quality

The location was good because it was close to the event I was attending and very close to the station.

At arrival we stood outside in the cold and rain for over 30 minutes because no one was there to open the door for us. We could finally get inside when a different guest arrived and opened the door for us, but we still didn't see any employees. After another 10 minutes of waiting we tried to phone call the hotel to ask if someone could please check us in, but no one answered the phone. After calling 5 times an employee finally showed up, seeming annoyed he had to help us. When we got to the room, there was a crack in the window, the bathroom door handle kept falling off (meaning we couldnt lock or even properly close the bathroom door) and the lights kept flickering off. Eventually the lights turned off altogether and we had to sit in the darkness all night, only using the flashlights on our phones.

Location, staff didn't speak English, no tv, only 1 cup and 1coffee sachet, 1 bath towel, radiator on with no access to turn it off, bed against the wall so awkward access for 2nd person

Poor standard of cleanliness in the ensuite. Poor check in service. Not up to expectations regarding the description online.

Good price and location but disappointingly poor.

Location was good near the train station and town.

Room was too cold heating didn’t work. Was loud and busy in the corridor, doors slamming people talking. There’s an observation window above the door that was letting in light constantly.

A basic but ideal room for exploring High Wycombe.

The host was very helpful & friendly. Good convenient, location, right next to the train station and town. Clean room and we were provided with the basics that were needed. It was generally quiet despite being next to a main road. Fortunately we were able to park at the accommodation which was very helpful & Cris guided us to the location via a phonecall.

We had to ask for another towel & mug as there was only one of each provided but they were both brought to our room promptly. Although there was a wardrobe there were no hangers provided. Could have done with another toilet roll being provided, as we almost ran out.

I was all over the moon. How kind was Cris (the owner) and the lady that I talked by phone, amazing. They were extremely polite and super dedicated to making me feel confortable, they helped me in every single aspect. It was for a work visit so I had meetings all day, I arrived town a bit early and leave a bit late, so my worry it was what to do with the luggage, Cris was super helpful and replied in seconds to all my messages finding a solution. The room was spotless clean and the bed super comfy, the room has everything you may need (fan, little fridge, fresh towerls, soaps, coffee, tea, water...). The location is 1 minute walking to the high street and the train station. Absolutely great, veeery happy, and I am considering getting back for longer stays.

The location was great. The bed was comfy. The price was cheap. The manager/owner was very friendly.

The room wasn’t clean. The linen and towels were stained. The room was tiny. No staff on arrival, so had to phone to get access .. but the manager did arrive quickly and was very friendly. Cryptic entry system.

Voor kort verblijf prima.

De kamer had een ventilator, wat erg fijn was met de warmte en de ramen konden open. Ook had ik een eigen badkamer en een koelkast. Het bed was comfortabel. Het ligt midden in het centrum, waardoor je genoeg keuze hebt in eetgelegenheden en winkels. Ook het station en de bushalte zijn vlakbij. Ik werd vriendelijk ontvangen en kon makkelijk om hulp vragen. Het is een prachtig oud pand.

Er was een lift, maar ook wat trapjes naar de ingang. Ik sliep naast de toegangsdeur waardoor ik elke keer wakker werd als de deur open ging en dicht sloeg. Ook zit er boven de deur een raam waardoor het niet helemaal donker is. Ze werken met codes die in principe iedereen die hier verblijft kan kraken, de deur kan niet extra op slot van binnenuit, waardoor ik me kwetsbaar voelde als vrouw allleen. Er was geen prullenbak in de kamer, waardoor ik niet goed wist wat ik met mijn afval moest.
