Parts of the property felt tired, tile off down the side of the cabinet in the upstairs bathroom, mirror lights didn’t work, laminate flooring was gappy. Kitchen cupboard handle came off and hit me on the foot, integrated dishwasher was not screwed in place and kept moving. Downstairs bathroom shower could not get hot water to work but then realised the hot is on the right and is normally on the left, this could confuse a person that is partially sighted, an unwritten rule hot is always on the left to stop unnecessary scalding for partially sighted or blind people. Back bedroom had water stains on the ceiling and something spilled on the carpet by the door.

The property was spotlessly clean very well equipped and very comfortable. The location is perfect. It was also a positive to have on site parking.

As mentioned in previous reviews the bathrooms need some updating. We couldn’t open the bathroom window because we couldn’t find the key. Eight people showering creates a lot of steam. Also having to go into Lyme Regis to collect the key was a negative. A key safe at the property would have been better.

The house is in an excellent, peaceful location with a beautiful sea view. It's within very close proximity to Charmouth beach and the village. On the whole the house was well equipped and comfortable.

It's inconvenient to have to go into Lyme Regis to collect and return keys - why not have a key safe at the property? Having got the keys we then couldn't access the property, having opened the front door, due to a locked inside door for which there was no key. This meant having to contact the local agent (from where we collected the keys) to come out and try, but he couldn't access the property either unless he removed the whole lock which, thankfully, he was equipped to do. Although generally very clean, some prescription medication from a previous guest had been left behind in a bedside drawer, which could have been dangerous in the hands of a child. The upstairs bathroom has a problem in that the hot water supply is poor, meaning there was only a trickle of hot water in the basin tap and bath. The downstairs bathroom is in need of modernisation, the shower head inadequate, the tiling grout dirty and signs of mould here and there, and a rusty radiator. Some of the carpets are threadbare at the edges. It's a lovely property in need of some updating. I would suggest that all of the above means it is overpriced for a 4 night stay.
