Location

The restaurant in the evening was a bit disappointing. The food was okay but not outstanding. When I asked for some bread with my soup, I was told I’d be charged another £6.50 so I didn’t bother. The breakfast were very good and well managed. There was a minor issue when our room door lock wouldn’t open because the AA batteries had expired. It was quickly fixed by a friendly maintenance guy, but it was a bit of an irritation.

A good Malmaison but not the best.

This is a comfortable hotel. The common parts of the hotel and the bar were lively and fun. We had a great cocktail here, and the breakfast was excellent (but very overpriced at £25pp).

This is a comfortable hotel but the rooms are not as stylish as others in this group. Our room had fairly bleak metal shelving and the blind didn't work. The breakfast was excellent (see above) but very overpriced at £25pp. The hotel is at the end of the waterfront area so it is quite a walk to get anywhere.

A lovely stay with a very comfortable bed and pillows. Furniture chipped needs upgrading.

We didn’t opt for breakfast. Due to the price!

We felt £23 pp was expensive. We walked to the Dock area and had a fantastic breakfast for £13 pp. Unfortunately our room 628 looking a bit worn in areas. Black furniture chipped both in the sleeping area and bathroom. Needs upgrading.

In the deluxe room could have had a magnifying mirror in bathroom. Thought also could have had some small toiletries in bathroom apart from just hand soap.

I thought I was upgrading from travelodge....

The breakfast was good. Nice selection and cooked breakfast cooked to prder.

Sulky, unhelpful staff on reception. non-opening windows in the room - aircon was ineffecttive Bed was comfortable to too warm (due to windows and aircon) Shower was nice to look at but so bad - rainfall shower that i had to run around in to get wet.

Screaming baby!

Was put in a room with an adjoining door and was kept awake all night by a screaming baby!!! I paid a lot of money for the worst sleep I have had in a hotel for a decade!

Staff were amazing, hotel is mixer and clean, rooms decent size, comfort bed and huge bathroom with giant bath and shower. Breakfast was lovely and cocktails nice too! Asia on the desk was particular amazing!

Very enjoyable stay with friends in a well positioned hotel with great staff

All the staff we met were really excellent and very friendly. The rooms were comfortable with good quality bathroom products. The breakfast was really great. The location was terrific for exploring Liverpool.

I found the room a little too hot and the air conditioning didn't seem to work to cool things down

Stylish hotel undermined by poor maintenance, disrupted sleep, and no response afterwards.

Good location and typically stylish Malmaison design. I’ve stayed with the brand many times previously without issue.

Unfortunately this stay was badly disrupted. The air conditioning in the room was not functioning, making the room uncomfortably hot overnight. More seriously, the hotel fire alarm sounded multiple times in the early hours and appeared to be false alarms, completely ruining any chance of sleep. I contacted the property twice afterwards but received no response.

Terrible compared to other Malmaison stays and not worth the money

The location was great, I'm sure some of the view are stunning!

It was outdated, the bathroom was dark, the grout was damaged and it looked worn. It wasn't worth the almost £200 we paid for the room for 1 night, at all. The lighting was really poor for getting ready.

Check in was great, friendly.

Ok. But you could serve toast with scrambled eggs and salmon. It got cold when I realised Inwould have to go and get toast for myself.
