Woke up to no coffee

Check in was great, friendly.

Went to make a coffee in the morning but there was no coffee sachet on the tea and coffee tray. Was in a rush so didn't bother to call down. Bathroom looking tired

Terrible compared to other Malmaison stays and not worth the money

The location was great, I'm sure some of the view are stunning!

It was outdated, the bathroom was dark, the grout was damaged and it looked worn. It wasn't worth the almost £200 we paid for the room for 1 night, at all. The lighting was really poor for getting ready.

A very disappointing stay, too many things wrong for a 4 star hotel. Never again....

The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable.

The air-conditioning/heater pumped out cold air, despite me trying to change it to heat. The room was cold for the 3 days I was there, with a constant cold draught. There was also a howling noise in the corridor outside the room all night, I expect from the lift shaft. The toilet didn't flush properly and the sink didn't drain properly. The taps especially in the shower just spun round and round making it very difficult to get a water temperature that was safe to you and not scalding hot. I have stayed in a number of Malmaison's before and this was a special 60th birthday stay - I was thoroughly disappointed and will not stay there again.

absolutely lush!!!

Gorgeous hotel, excellent location and all the facilities were fantastic. I especially appreciated the doggie friendly welcome. Dog bed, bowls and the most thoughtful little doggie bag, such attention to detail. The room was gorgeous as well as the bathroom and all the lovely bathing products. Friendly staff and an excellent trip all round. Thank you we will definitely be back.

The location was great with very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast made to order was really good and made a nice change.

The air conditioning didn’t work very well so the room was stuffy and you couldn’t open a window. Very dark room with not enough lights especially when wanting to apply make up.

The Mal still shows other hotels how to do it

I've been here several times before. The location puts me off a little – not being by the water, which is great – as it is a bit of a walk from the main shopping and fun areas of the city, and quite a way from Liverpool Lime Street. But it's not a biggie and the view out of the rooms is more than adequate compensation.

Perhaps I am getting a little old, or the Mal is, but it does seem to lack a little bit of the cheekiness and unexpected delights that it was famed for. Again, that still doesn't mean that it isn't any good, because it is still a great hotel and still shows other hotels how to do it.

Great place and location

Really nice decor, very friendly and helpful staff. As we were staying 2 nights we were given the option of a drink each from the bar instead of having the room cleaned on the second day which is a great idea.

The bed was a little uncomfortable- maybe the mattress a little old as it had indents from previous sleepers and it was also quite short - both of us are not very tall but still our feet were over the end of the bed.

Stunning hotel 😍😍

Beautiful hotel , the rooms are spicy and luxurious and the bed was comfy. The windows don’t open and on a warm summer night it was hot. The hotel provided a fan which helped as the air con was not the best. I would definitely stay again though.

Fantastic place to stay, we will 100% be revisiting at some point in the future.

The room was fantastic, the fact that the TVs had both Chromecast and Sky sports was amazing. I was shocked, The aircon was brilliant, it kept the room really chilly. Also the fact the staff went the extra mile to set up a photo in our room that we requested free of charge. Breakfast was also great

The location is great for the dock, but can take 20-30 minutes though to walk into Liverpool One or to shop. Didn't really bother us, but if you struggle with mobility it might be a struggle for you to get there.
